Arrow...Come in here...

Arrow,

I just wondered how you are doing. On the m/e challenge you said that you were putting down your baby today and I have been thinking of you all day long and for you and your family and your baby. I just wondered how you are doing and how everything went. Again...I am so sorry. Did you see my post to you on the m/e challenge board today? How did you do with your diet?

Jody

So far good on the diet not eating much. I live in the country and the vets have not showed yet been a really long day. Vets said they would call before showing up no call as of yet. Every time the phone rings my heart just sinks and right now I'm crying my eyes out.
It's my own fault I didn't give her her raibies shots this year. I figured with her being so old she never left the yard unless I was with her so I thought it was no big deal. Well a skunk came in the yard and bit her. We've decided with her being 15 it is best to put her down. It being the best for her don't make it any easier on me. She has prety much been with me day and night. I'm going to be lost without her.
Thank you so very much for caring. Dawn

I can all too well imagine what you're going through as we've just recently been through something similar. I'm so sorry for you and your family. Knowing you're going to be one family member short by the end of the day is a heavy burden.

I know it's hard right now, and will be tomorrow as well, and for untold days to come. But at some point, find a way to forgive yourself and KNOW that you've given your little one a wonderful life full of lots of love that's been reciprocated many fold.

If you'd known how to do better you would have. Don't beat yourself up for doing the best you could. We come to each new day and do the best we can. It's all we can do. Unfortunately, life is a hard teacher and there are lessons that have to be learned first hand.

My heart goes out to you. Try to stay in the 'now' and don't look too far ahead, or too far back. Love her while you got her. I'm still feeling a bit lost without my 'shadow' (his name was Buddy...pretty much sums up what he meant to me) but even though it does get easier...there will always be something missing that only you will feel. So, so, sorry.

Dawn,

Oh...I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes...I'm so, so, so sorry. What a terrible decision to have to make. I know you must be in so much pain right now...I hope that you can feel the hug that I am sending right now. I feel so bad for you.

I hope that you are feeling better today. I think that someone said it up above...but it will eventually get better.

And good job on your weigh in. You must have stuck pretty close to plan.

I hope that you feel better soon.

Jody
