I live in houston and may have to leave to go to family that live in arkansas. Hopefully we will not have to go. But if you look at the projected path of the storm right now it is going to cover more of texas than just houston. Look at the weather channel projected path of the storm. It is scarry. I have never been through anything like this. They have put out a voluntary evacuation for Galveston yesterday. If the path of the storm doesnt change course by 2pm today a mandatory evacuation order will be given. They are also evacuating the Louisiana people out of the astro dome, and sending them to Ft. chaffee, In fort smith arkansas. ( which is where i grew up)

gavinsmom, I pray for your safety and that you won't have to evacuate... this morning real early they said that Baton Rouge and Houston was predicted to be out of it's path. that it was going to turn more South... Now they haven't said anymore about that happening... In any cause, BE SAFE...
I lived in Russellville, Ar. for 22 years....

I live in Corpus Christi, TX a high target area for this hurricane. Please pray for everyone, it's a scary thought losing all you have worked so hard to obtain.

thank you

I hope you are all safe. The one thing good that came out of hurricane Katrina is that more people take hurricanes seriously where they didn't before. My mother and sister live in Florida and would not evacuate last year during their 3 major hurricanes.

Anytime Girl... I have been watching the hurricane and they haven't said anymore about it missing Baton Rouge, or Houston... They talked for sure at 6 this morning that it was going to turn far enough South to miss...

They are tracking this storm into houston. So i will know if I have to leave probably by tomorrow night. Can you imagine the destruction if it hits houston? Millions of people live here. Especially since it such a metro area.
Thanks for all of your concerns.
