Praying for strength to do this..

I hope this post is allowed.

How many of you pray for the strength to do this?

I do, probably at least every day, sometimes every hour. LOL.

This is so hard. I have found this weight loss thing to be harder than working, being a mom or anything I have ever done.

I let myself get over 300, diabetic before I decided I was not taking care of what God gave me.

Anyway, I just wondered if it is hard for everyone?

Actually, I have found strength that my eating and the choices I'm making on LC is the one thing that I'm totally in control of in my life.

I had no control when I got laid off.
I have no control over some of the things my teenagers do.
I have no control over the weather.
etc.

BUT I do have control over what I chose to eat.

Good point

TC,

Very good point. We don't have control over a lot of things, do we?

I feel so much better when my eating is good. I still remember the pain of a binge and the awful hangover I would have the next day, mentally and physically.

I still find it hard though. Today, is a good day, but then it will get harder.

Sonja, I still go to the Lord with my weight even though I have now loss 100 lbs. I to was over 300 lbs. when I began, 325 to be exact, and when I first began and still do now, go to God in prayer with my weight problem. It was Him who guided me in the right way to lose it to and not myself.
I feel that I could have never loss it without Him.

So yes go to God with your prayers on your weight, He will listen and guide you just like he did for me. No matter what problem we may have in our life, none is to big or to small for God to handle. He cares about you and He knows that you have a weight problem, Maybe He is just waiting for you to call on Him and ask for His help.....

I also pray to God for the strength I need to fight this daily battle with food.

I also find this WOE is much easier the longer I have been doing it.

How nice to know even though we are not always in control of things that pass our way that the Lord still is...He knows are hearts when we get off our plan and waits to help us when we get back on board...He never fails to be there on time...Prayer is the answer for me each day as I call out to Him to help me with whatever I must face. He is there for us all each day and all day...Faith is the key that unlocks the door..We will make it all the way...God Bless You all...

Prayer will transform you in total if you have accepted Him. I have seen Him act, felt Him act.

Part of what has helped me is to realize how insignificant our problems are in the overall picture. I was ridiculed to some extend and bombarded with false information about diet and low carb eating. I took my own path, not caring about the ridicule, with the support of my wife I lost weight.

I feel bad for her as low carb did not seem to work and she became frustrated. She has now lost ten pounds by counting calories, even with a just healed broken ankle that hinders her walking.

You have to make up your mind to do it. What really pushed me was the threat of diabetes that constantly looms over members of my family. Rather than continue on a high-fat and sugar regimen which would eventually allow my body to decline, I changed.
