Just to let you all know...

My wife, daughter and I left Louisiana last night about 3:00 am and had a traffic-free ride all the way to Atlanta. I'm originally from Atlanta (moved to NO area in 2001) and we are staying with family.

I just hope I have a home and practice to go back to.

This looks to be the nastiest storm to ever hit a major city and one of only 3 Cat 5's to ever hit the US.

I never leave for the storms and even I left for this one. I certainly can't imagine anyone who could leave not doing so.

CCCCCRRRRRRAAAAAAPPPPPP!!!!! This sucks.

Hoping only for good things when you get back home.....remember all material things can be replace....spoken by someone who lost everything in a fire except my hubby's suit (it was at the cleaners) and my wedding dress (it was stored at my in-laws)

You were the only one I knew from that area, We'll say a prayer for the family. I'm in Tallahassee, for most of these storms we're looking at some type of fallout. nothing compared to what it looks like for LA and MS. God Bless you and your family.
