My B-I-L died yesterday

A while ago I asked for prayers for my b-i-l who had cancer. My sister has had such a hard life and had finally found her true sole mate. Well cancer won. I am so sad and feel so sorry for my sister. Tony fought a hard battle and had been planning on having a New Orleans style party (he loved visiting there) for today. Family and friends were suppose to arrive starting last night. He wanted one last party before he died. About Tuesday it became apparent he was going down hill fast. His pain was uncontrollabe ( bone cancer is the worst cancer for pain) so they started him on a morphine drip. It helped some but by Thursday the pain was so bad they had to increase it which put him into a coma like state amd he died early on Friday morning. My sister was able to get his mother (89 years old) and Tony's sister to the hospital by Wednesday night ( live out of state), so they were there when he died. But I feel so sad I can't be there. I am disabled and cannot sit for long periods of time. Tony wanted everyone to have the party even if he wans't there, so I imagine it is going on right now. I hope it is a happy party with remembrence and not alot of saddness. Sorry if this is so long. Thank you all who gave prayers for Tony when I asked. It made him feel good that others would pray for him. I only wish they had been answered.

I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I am sorry for the pain that your family is going through. Remember our prayers are not always answerekeld in the way we want them to be but perhaps knowing is in not in that terrible pain any longer is of some comfort.

I am so sorry for all of you. Sometimes life just isn't fair, but at least your sister had a joy that many will never experience, no matter how brief it was. I will say a prayer for all of you.
