The PMS Retreat

I promised myself I would post this thread this month after having a bad PMS week last month. Come on in! Feel free to vent, gripe, b1tch, cry, whimper, etc. etc. etc. You'll find nothing but support here.

Okay, so I think I've gone through every emotion under the sun within the last 24 hours. I've been irked. I've been angry. I've been scared. I've been confused. I've laughed. I've cried.

*sigh* Just the start of another PMS week for me. I hope the hormone therapy kicks in soon.

Yes, Jen, it seems to come faster and faster anymore.

Terri, WOW! What a good PMS friend you are!!! Just what the doctor ordered.

Doing a bit better this morning. The progesterone creme seems to have kicked in.

Oh, thank goodness I found you! I need a safe place to be...or my family does.

Terri, I like your supplies, but I do need some Cheetos, too.

Mootzee, it happens faster and faster for me as well. Last month it was twice...how lucky can you get?

Thanks for the good PMS company. I am hoping that I get through these next few days without bursting, my eating is not under control and heaven help anyone who tells me so!!

Hi, Rooty Toot Toot!!! :waves: We'll be waiting for you with chocolate in hand when you're ready.

Nancy! I hear ya about having it twice in one month. That's happened to me before, too. The only good thing was then my TOM didn't come back for over 40 days the next time. Perimenopause is a b1tch!

Terri, you got the crunchy kind, too! Woohoo! You know your stuff!!

So far I've been on an even keel. No crying. No angry outbursts. No venting. Now if I could only find my memory. I can't remember anything at the moment.

LOL, Terri. That looks exactly like the bag of Cheetos that I ate this morning....fortunately TOM arrived just afterward.

Kimberly, if that means that TOM won't be back for 40 days...that is fine with me!!

Question. Why do I have bad hair when it's TOM?

Swollen feet and hands: check
Bloated, tender tummy: check
Spotty, blotchy face: check
Crabby, irritable mood: check

Fair enough. But why bad hair as well?!

Okay, I've already had two weepy moments today... one when they were talking about lung cancer on TV (my DBF smokes ) and in another thread when someone was talking about your parents dying. My parents are perfectly healthy in their 70s but for some reason this struck me the wrong way and I ended up bawling.

*sigh*

Have a lot of cramps today....this only happens about one day out of the month. PMS wasn't too bad this month, a lot better than the hell I went through last month! Still, I have one bad day with the cramps, I know I'll feel a lot better tomorrow. It's noon now...too early for that martini?

You know the song "It's five o'clock somewhere" Here's your drink:

I usually get cramps on the last day of my period. Ugh! It's like a final hurrah.
