just kindof sad today...

it's been almost 6 months since my husband told me he was leaving. i'm certainly having more better days than not, but today is just one of those days where i feel really blah, sad. no real reason. how do i fix it ... how long will it take me to get over it? i'm sick of being sad.

hi lady...

i know your sorrow...

i know it so well...

i hope you know how much God cares...

and you can take some comfort in that...

try and find a source of great joy for you...and seek to do that... whatever it may be...

sometimes it feels good to give to someone else that which you yourself need so much...

make a call to someone for no reason....to encourage them...

avoid going to the negative side of your feelings...

its ok to sorrow...but dont dwell on a past that is gone...look to day and the hope of what tomorrow may bring...

tomorrow is a gift you have yet to recieve...

and today is your present from God

open it up

heal

i used to take deep breaths... imagining taking in good...or "what i needed" or a "miracle" ... id imagine that breath going into the deepest parts of that pain...swirling around it detaching it from 'me'... and i would exhale...letting go...

feeling it leave... as i let it go...

let it out...

id imagine the heat in the tears that welled up... was the pain ...leaving... because i dint want to hold it in...

sometimes i just felt empty...

because i was...

i had become the pain...

the sorrow over the loss of my marraige...consumed me...

i lost myself along the way ...

well.. anyway... dont want to go back there

i hope you try my lil me fix its sometimes...

and i pray that it helps

I can relate to how you feel. Its ok to be sad. I don't know how long it takes for the pain to disappear but time really does heal the ache. Two months ago I was crying at work all day on and off due to a relationship ending. Today when I think about it, I feel disappointment and relief that it is over. But the tears are gone. My mother said crying helped cleanse my heart and I think it really did. At the time it did not feel like a cleansing.....it just hurt.

Things that helped me:
crying
sleeping
watching my favorite movies on dvd
talking to friends/family about other topics besides the relationship
spending time with people that made me happy
looking at old pictures/letters/cards
