I just wanted to address Old School about caring for her grandfather and Lin caring for her Dad. What you have done and what Lin is doing truly makes the mark of a Phenominal Woman, I am proud to know you both (and everyone else in here).

Quick check in from the hotel in Buffalo. Michael Buble totally rawked. He is an awesome entertainer and very easy on the eyes as well. I'll check in later from PA.

Last night I treated the man to some lotion and a foot rub. He never puts lotion on his feet! THey were so dry!!!

After I lotioned him up, he kept touching them. I said, "what's wrong?" He said, "my feet feel good. Thank you!! "

I advised him to soak his feet and clip his toenails while they were softened. I might buy a foot spa on my next paycheck and give him a proper pedicure. I'm sure he'd love it.

OSG, I considered shea butter but I was sure he wouldn't like that, so I didn't. I just used some thick lotion and he loved it.

I think as we get older (and especially boyz) that they do run into trouble with their feet and are not sure exactly how to take care of them. Soaking before you clip works wonders.

K, I must say, your new avi is DELICIOUS!!! Love the new 'do' and the new girly attiitude. It's nice to do that for ourselves every once in a while. I'm glad you enjoyed your 're-feminization'. I did it back in April and have enjoyed it ever since!

OSG, I am gonna get some Soul Owner, by Philisophy. I hear great things about it, and try it on me and (mostly) Fred. You can get it online at drugstore .com or at Sephora. It gets excellent reviews.

Morning ladies! I'm going to do my best to be more of a regular here. I really do love the atmosphere of warmth and concern in this little spot of the boards.

Moke, I wish Butch had enjoyed his foot rub. Either I didn't do it right or he is just an anti-pampering kinda guy! When I started putting on the lotion he said, "Hmmm, I need to cut my toenails. I didn't realize it. " They didn't look too long to me but I said, "Well, I would offer to cut them for you but then I could never look Ginny in the eyes again." Ginny is my best friend in the world and she broke up with a guy once when he asked her to cut his toenails. I'm glad Fred let you "have your way with him!" It feels good to show love to people in simple ways like that.

Nancy, thank you for your kind words. I know that your friendship with Lin helps her get through a lot of rough days. A lot of my "friends" stopped checking in on me when I was going through my time with Pappy. I don't know if it was because they knew I couldn't go out and do anything with them or if it was because the heaviness in my body and spirit just made me a drag to be around. Either way, I'm sure you are a blessing to her!

Lin, I couldn't get you off my mind last night so I prayed for you. Keep taking care of yourself while you take care of everyone else!

K Praper, you do look lovely in your new avatar! I hope that I can post a "re-feminization" picture here someday!

LibraEssence, I don't have anything to say to you but I wanted to type your name just because I like you so darn much! I'm enjoying you as my Netflix Friend!

Junk, thank you for the sweet PM you sent me. I'm sorry to know that you've been through something similar to what Lin and I have been through with our family members. It seems like it gives me a special bond with people when I find out they've done that. You are beautiful!

Thanks Moke! Oh, I meant to tell you, I saw the Shea Butter at Target... at first I was like "$9.99!! for a little bitty tin!" But I smelled it, and it smelled so nice...So I think I'm going to go back and get it. Does a little of it go a long way, at least??

OSG- Nothin' wrong with feeling the love!!

So how many 'Phenoms' are there?

I enjoyed my refeminization very much...I'm trying my best to keep it up. I think cutting my hair has helped..it's a lot easier to fix.

So, who here is good with style?? (clothing)? That is my biggest challenge of all, I think. I wish they had a "mentor program" or something, in real life, where someone could just have a counseling session with me about my lifestyle, and then give me a list of specific items to go buy at the store (down to the item number!), complete with shoes and accessories.

I want to look good, but I really don't enjoy clothes-shopping that much.

Don't you all think it is a litte coincidental that Moke put together the Phenom challenge, keeps up the thread when the challenge is over for support and scores a man? I think maybe this challenge/support group might have given her the boost she needed

Sorry if this has been said before but it popped in my mind just now.

*happy for Moke*

I think we posted a good article on body shape and what things are best to buy for that shape... I will see if I can find it.

I don't think you can ever have too many smileys.

So your girlfriend broke up with a guy cause he asked her to cut his toenails? I guess I'm weird. I think that cutting someone's toenails (after a nice long soak in the foot fixer mind you) is an extremely personal thing to do for someone. Maybe it's cause I had children, I don't mind touching clean feet, at all!

KP, love the new avi and the new do!

Lizz, wonderful to see you as always.

Steph, where are you?

Moke, there is a Tarjay enroute via Ontario and I just might do a pit stop for shea!

Moke, I think it was last week you mentioned a site/program to download for resizing avis? Could you mention it again please?

Fashion Tips Buy Clothes to suit Your Shape

Layout your clothes before putting them on and check the proportions.

Juggle jackets, scarves & belts to re-arrange the clothes to get the look you want.

Thinner fabrics are more slimming.
Tops and bottoms of one color will make you look thinner.
Wear clothes that fit.
Wearing too large clothes will exaggerate your figure not hide it.
Avoid belts unless you have a slim waist.
Use accessories carefully.

You can make your wardrobe impressive with mix and match jewelry.

Shoes depend less on you body shape than you height. Do not buy clothes on impulse. Plan before you buy a blouse or pants. Be somewhat scientific about shopping, consider your body type, and colors.

Ask your self some questions;

Do you have anything you can mix and match with it? Does it match your lifestyle?
Will it be comfortable, nonchalant, and easy to wear?
Is it machine wash or dry clean only?
Will it fit your budget? Is it appropriate?
Is it a fad, can it be worn more than one season?
Is it of good quality? Quality counts, it is better to have four or five mix and match out fits of quality, than 8 or 10 'steals.'

Think in terms of outfits when you shop, and be practical. When you buy a new dress, be sure you have shoes and other accessories to go with it. Maybe a jacket or scarf to wear over it to give it a different look.

Clothes Styles and Body Shapes

High collars shortens necks.

Tight tops with short sleeves and breast pocket is detracting from your figure. Shoes with straps shortens your legs. The torso can be shortened or narrowed with seam lines, belts, bows, and collars.

A short necklace can shorten your neck.

A scarf or belt that hangs down toward the legs will make the legs appear longer. Knitted texture, lace, floras, prints, and plaids can assist in creating an illusion.

Thicker vertical lines in plaids lengthens and slims.

Wear a larger print where you want people to look and smaller print where you do not want them to look.

An all over print can camouflage figure problems, but prints here and there can create a fuller you.

Prints around the neck and over the shoulder can make your shoulders appear wider. Just wear prints near the parts of your figure's assets, because they are usually more eye catching than a solid color.

When buying pants be sure they fit well. Defects are emphasized in a pair of pants that may go unnoticed in a skirt.

Petite women.

Petite women need to keep clothes in line, slim narrow belts. A slight contrast in colors and fitted lines will flatter you endlessly. Also stay with fabrics that are soft and flowing that fits well. Over powering prints should be avoided.

Tall women.

Tall women can indulge in wide belts, avoid tight clothes and skirts that are to short or to long. Beauty expert Stephanie Faber recommends tall women play down their waist by wearing their blouses over the pants and skirts and avoid tight belts.

Hip heavy triangle woman.

A hip heavy triangle and round full figured women can use clothes with vertical lines to make an up and down illusion. V-necks and skirts with slits up the sides are also good. Clothes with small padded shoulders should be chosen . Too big of pads will make you look like a foot ball player. Wear long tops that go passed your hips. Choose jackets, tailored suits and shirtwaist dresses with straight, classic cuts. Lighter colors on top can be worn, this brings eyes up. Wear dark stockings and avoid patterns. Select vertical, fluid patterns and avoid bulky fabrics. Adopt the just below the knee look in dresses and skirts. Choose accessories close to the same color clothes you are wearing including shoes. This gives your body an unbroken slimmer look. Avoid very wide pinafore skirts. Stay with straight or Aline skirts.

Top heavy woman.

The top heavy body types need to choose long jackets without shoulder pads. Do not wear blouses with fancy details and ruffles. Do not wear clingy fabrics on top, choose darker colors on top. Do not wear tops that are to light. Tops with dolman or raglan sleeves and ones that fit loose and slims down to hug the hips and waist are good. Wear pants or skirts that are pleated to bring the eye down. Choose thin materials like cotton, or cotton jersey. One color dressing will also be thinning. Flat shoes are best unless you are short, then wear heels. If your legs are in good shape shorter hem lengths will draw attention away from your top.

Rectangular type woman.

The rectangular type can accentuate curves by wearing jackets or tops that hug the waist, feminine thick sweaters over skirts or pants. Use patterns in your tops or bottoms to add dimension. Round out the neckline with necklaces, scarves and other accessories, and use shoulder pads

advice from 'What not to Wear' with different body shapes and what you should wear.

http://www.bbcamerica.com/genre/home..._body_type.jsp

Also, if you've ever done a virtual model, some stores will let you shop their website with a VM and then you can sort of see what the clothes look like.

I also take soemone highly critical with me so they'll tell me if something realy does look good, until i get the hang of what I should wear. Once I find things I like, I like to try and see if I can get it cheaper than I can at that store.

What Not to Wear isn't about the latest fashions, it's about teaching people about personal style, dressing for their shape, and personality and learning how to make the most of their natural assets.

Body Shape
1. Get naked. Then stand in front of a mirror, and ask yourself what you love about your body and what you hate. The things you hate are what will hide; the things you love are the things you can afford to show off. Be honest and objective. What you hate might be the envy of your best friend (consider Susannah's big breasts!)

2. Flat-chested: Most women who are flat-chested have a tendency to carry their weight on their bum. So, show off those arms with a lovely sleeveless round neck top. Most importantly, don't make **** that aren't there. Just accept it and if want to be sexy (and you are in your 30s), show a bit of nipple, gently.

3. Pear-shaped: Never wear jackets that cut you across the arse. Either wear a jacket that ends at the waist (to show your bum off) or wear one to the knee (to cover it up).

4. Short-waisted with long legs: If you have a short body and long legs, chances are you have big ****. Pull up the breasts with a really good bra so they won't accentuate your short waist. Also, wear short jackets that hit the hip-bone.

5. Long body with short legs: Never wear cropped trousers; they make your legs shorter. Layer your top half. Like Trinny, wear a long t-shirt under a sweater to break up your long back. Don't forget to keep your trousers very long, and wear a higher heel to put yourself back in proportion.

6. Large-size: Don't tent yourself and don't be afraid to wear tighter clothes. Try a plunging neckline to show off your beautiful décolleté.

7. Short neck: Buy deep V or low fronted tops. High necks will only make your neck look shorter.

8. Broad shoulders and slim hips: Buy flat-fronted long trousers and skirts cut on the bias.

In Your Wardrobe
1. Go through your wardrobe and ask yourself "what have I not worn for the past two years." Find those things and chuck 'em in the bin.

2. Play with your clothes. Remember when you were eight in the dressing-up box and you would rearrange your wardrobe by color? New outfits will begin to appear that you wouldn't have considered putting together before.

General Clothing Tips
1. Always wear color with color. Don't wear bright pink or turquoise with black. It cheapens the color. If your main color is plum, then you can wear red, pink, or orange with it. They all look wonderful and you will look taller, skinnier, and far more stylish.

2. Never wear leather trousers unless you are a biker. They have connotations, and however cold it is, you still sweat in the crotch. You'll look like a gunslinger with a wet pubic area. And they hardly flatter anyone's bum.

3. Look at the VPL (Visible Panty Line). Ban all knickers that show through your trousers.

4. Don't wear clinging clothes, but clothes that skim the body and show off shape. No matter what size you are there is always shape there, your wrist or your neck. Whatever ever it is, show it off.

5. Shoes are very important. You can see a woman who is beautifully dressed but can be disappointed by her footwear. If you've got thick ankles never wear an ankle strap across you ankle. Likewise if you've got skinny legs, little teetering heels look like they are going to snap because your body is heavier than your legs.

6. Don't wear lots of eye make-up and lots of lipstick. You want to show off one and let the other fade into the background. The same applies to **** and legs. Show off the **** or show off the legs, not both.

7. No woman over the age of 35 should wear skirts above the knee.

8. Trousers that are slightly too big make you look much skinnier than trousers that are a bit too tight.

Wow... Moke... what info!!!

I have a date this Friday with the new man..... I am at a loss for what to wear.. I need to check the weather... Wow.. any ideas for a short, top heavy, flat assed gal like myself?

K, If I were near you, I would be delighted to take you shopping!

OSG,

For me, I am happy that my scale has not gone up due to TOM.... And I went to the gym yesterday and man my abs are sore... I guess I must have them in there, huh? I am also on my 2nd day of not smoking. I am trying to make this quit last.
