I beg for your prayers...my 2 y/o niece has cancer

Last night we were told that Colette has a Wilms' Tumor. It extends from her right kidney into her abdomen. The tumor is enormous, and due to its size, is inoperable. She is at stage 3-4 of 5 stages with this cancer.

They took her by ambulance to a hospital about six hours away that specializes in cancer. She will have surgery to examine the tumor and its spread, and a part of the tumor will be biopsied. After that she will undergo chemo/radiation to shrink the tumor to an operable size. It could take a year.

My sister is so strong. She is keeping it together so well. She said she is only worrying about today; tomorrow is not important right now.

This is Colette from just a few months ago. She is the flower girl in my cousin's wedding this fall. She loved this dress. I wish I could just get it and let her wear it every day in the hospital.

The Make a Wish Foundation is located in the same building as where I work and I see and hear their stories about children with cancer and it breaks my heart every time. That is so good that your sister is being strong and is taking it one day at a time. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless and hope to hear good news from you in the future

My thoughts are with you and your family. I hope things go better than expected. My husband had a Wilms tumor on his kidney when he was three and did amazingly well with the same proceedure. I hope everything goes well for your niece.

also going out for Kylie Cancer is horrible to deal with at any age but it is particularly difficult when it is children that are suffering
