A dear lifelong friend of my family was badly burned this week. He was burning leaves in his yard and the wind caught his overalls on fire. 45% of his body is burned. The burns are 3rd degree and he will need many surgeries for skin grafts and debridment. The doctors are hopeful but he is in his 70s. He's a stubborn old coot, so with your prayers and time, hopefully he'll be back to his old self. Please whisper a prayer for him and his family. Thank you!

as I left the thread w/o posting I was thinking to myself that my grandfather did that same thing (only he only was burned badly on one of his calves, still there were painful skin grafts and he spent weeks in the topeka santa fe railroad hospital... anyway, I as I now live in florida (turned into a cityfolk I guess) that you just don't hear about people doing that in the city... so I went back to see where you were from... My grandfather (and myself at the time) also lived in small town OKLAHOMA, just north of Enid. So I had to return and tell you that I am sorry to hear about your friend.

I am sure that he will be missed and remembered by you and his other friends. While I don't know if his last days were full of pain and suffering, I do know they were full of love given by you and his other friends.
