Any prayers that you can spare
Hi everyone,
I confess that I don't post here all that frequently, but I lurk here all of the time. I know that there are some wonderful people on these boards and that's why I've decided to be brave and post about this. I had a yearly exam on Tuesday and the doctor found two lumps in my breasts (one on each). I totally freaked! She says that she honestly thinks that they are cysts because all of the women in my family have fibrocystic breasts, but she wants a mammogram and ultrasound to be sure. My appointment for those is at 2:00 pm today. I'm really scared and would appreciate any prayers that you could send my way today.I'm 36 years old with no family history of breast cancer, non smoker, etc., so the odds are in my favor, but I'm still having a very hard time with this. The radiologist will sit down with me today and discuss results, so I will let you all know later. Thanks in advance for any good thoughts and prayers! Teresa

Teresa,
We have the same type of breasts in my family. Several years ago I found a lump and even knowing it most likely wasn't cancer it was still scary until I knew for sure. I was fine and I'm sure you will be too! You are in my ![]() |

Hi everyone!
Thank you so much for all of your thoughts and prayers today!! I had the mammogram done and everything was perfectly OK!!! In fact, they had two different doctors consult on it, and couldn't find ANYTHING unusual. They said they couldn't even see what the doctor had felt - no cysts, no masses, no lumps, etc. And, the radiologist said that I shouldn't need another mammo for at least 2 years, maybe 3. So....YIPEE!! I feel so relieved and happy and grateful!! Thanks again for all of your support. Teresa |
