Christian Music Festival in 49 DAYS!!! YAY!!!

Hi Everyone!!!

I am so excited, and thought this is where I should post my excitement!

I think DH and I are going to CORNERSTONE 2005!!!! It is in Bushnell, IL, near Macomb (Western Illinois University). Last year there were approximately 24,000 people there!!! OMG!!! It is on 560 acres of campgrouns, with I think five different concert stages and seminars and a dance tent, and a GOTHIC tent.... OMG!!! I cannot wait!!!!!!

June 30-July 3!! A whole weekend of Jesus Freaks, it's gonna be soooo cool!!!

It is hosted by JPUSA (Jesus People USA), where DH used to live for a few years in his early twenties. It's just AWESOME!!!!!

Keep your fingers crossed, I soooooooo want to go!! Wohoo!!!!

OMG, they still have those? Sheesh...

Who's going to be playing? Wow... I remember the time I went to Icthus (which I think is held in Kentucky) - it had rained 14 out of 16 years so they called it "Ich mud" (yep - it rained the year I went, too). I still have pictures...got to see Petra, and Brian Duncan (who has a voice second only to Matthew Ward - former member of 2nd Chapter of Acts). I was 20 or 19...so we are talking over 20 years ago. Wow....

hey, i just saw this thread because i was searching the forums for "JPUSA"... my husband and i are highly looking into living there. HappyMe, can you tell me a little bit about your experience there? pros, cons? we had a friend telling us a little bit about over the weekend because her daughter lived there for a while. it definitely sounds like something we could handle.

by the way, how did you like cornerstone this year? my brother-in-law's band played again this year and so we really wanted to go and support them. plus, my husband is a huge fan of The Huntingtons and wanted to go see their last show together. we were sad about not going this year but i don't think i could have lasted in the unbearable heat.

so yeah, i'd love to hear about your time spent at JPUSA!
