I need strength to get through 5-12-05 to 5-22-05

I have SO much to do right now but I'm sitting here instead. You know how when you know you have alot to do but it's weeks away so you put it off? Well Hubby's Grandma passed away in November and we have been cleaning out the house. We have to be out by June 1st and the family is coming starting this Thursday and I am just DREADING IT ALL!!!! I have so much to do today and tomorrow. Hubby and I have done the majority of the work but I have to do some major cleaning, like mopping all the floors, vacuuming, cleaning 3 bathrooms, the kitchen, making the beds up for everyone. I just feel like doing nothing. I just want to sit here. I still have to bag up a bunch of stuff to donate. Hubby will probably do that when he gets home from work. I have so much laundry to do. I have put it off for too long. I wish I could just go somewhere else this weekened. Some are arriving Thursday and then Friday night and then some more family over the weekened. Alot of them DON'T get along and I am expecting fights. They are emptying the house of the stuff they want. I know I have to be here but I wish I didn't. After the weekend it won't be so bad because it's just going to be my mother in law with me here the whole week and then my Hubby's sister and her husband and their son will be back Sunday to get her, they are spending the whole week at Walt Disney World (lucky). I'm just used to being here alone. I'm antisocial and I don't like to HAVE to talk. Isn't that horrible of me? UGGGHHHHHHHH!
I just can't wait until everyone is gone and we can just move into our new place (wherever that will be since we haven't found one yet)!
Ok my rant is over. Thanks for reading. I need to get off here and get to work.

Ozzyfan - that's a difficult job ahead of you and your hubby. One thing I've noticed in my life is that when I expect discord and fighting, it surely appears. Maybe try this as a suggestion... give everyone a small pad of paper and a pen, and ask that they write down what objects they would like from Grandma's house, and why the object is special to them. This might open up a dialogue where people can share their memories as well as make decisions as to what goes where... just an idea. Good luck!

I am so sorry for your loss. My aunts and my dad had to do that when my grandpa died in Nov. So hard! and so much meanspiritedness from sibs who have always been close! Anger is a step in grieving, but I hope it dosn't get dragged into your home! I will keep you and yours in my prayers!

Wow, I don't envy you. Sounds like one big freakin' drag coming up this weekend. Best just to get on with it, I guess. Give it your best shot. Praying would probably help too.
