Prayer and Answered Prayers for Overcoming

I am a praying woman. I trust God in all other areas of my life, but I have never given Him authority in the area of weight loss. So now I am. I am starting this thread to post prayers for anyone who needs and wants it. So make your requests known and we will support one another. Then we will see His hand at work in our lives and the answered prayers, victory reports and testimonies of success will flow. So lets start . . .

Father, I lift my life before you. I know that you have not given me a spirit of gluttony. I also know that the satisfaction, relief and fulfillment that I look for in food will never be found. Your desire for me is that my contentment, peace and happiness would be found in you. Now Lord, my prayer is that you would strengthen me. You know this body, you understand its inner most workings. I ask that you would guide me in every food choice. I pray that your Spirit would encourage, teach and motivate me to make wise decisions concerning my physical health, just as you do every day in my spiritual growth. Fill my desire with you, satiate my mouth with good things, satisfy my soul Lord, so that only my physical need for fuel would be satisfied with food. I thank you now for the strength that comes only from you, my Lord and Savior. I pray now for those that are reading this thread. Father strengthen encourage and sustain them. I pray that they would hear the voice of your Spirit as it leads them in their decisions. Help them now Lord. We will tell of your good deeds, and excellent power forever more. I needed this thread today, and like you I'm a praying woman. I trust GOD with my weight loss plan, BUT it has been a struggle to stay focus. I will visit this thread daily, and I will touch and agree with you for your success and for the success of other low carbers. One thing about the GOD we serve is that he will bless you for what you make happen for another. What you do in secret for the LORD will be rewarded openly before all men.

I'm sorry I disappeared after just one day! I caught a cold this week and left work early yesterday. I felt so bad, then this morning I was so busy catching up on my work, I'm just now logging in. BUT I'm still praying!

godsbeloved79 - Be strengthened today. Father I pray now that this sister would be encouraged to continue to trust you for her weight loss goals. I pray that she would be a light to others like me that there is nothing too hard for you. Where we would fail in our own power you step in and lift us beyond our wildest dreams. That's your promise, that you are able to do more than we can even imagine. We are thinking big Lord, really, really BIG! Father I pray for weight loss, lowered cholesterol, increased stamina, flat tummies, and TIGHT BICEPS!! Good morning! I just noticed that you are from Pompano Beach. My church's singles held our summer retreat there last year! You have a beautiful city. We have another retreat this year. We are going to Memphis TN. I want to be at a lower weight by that time. I have never been able to successfully loose a significant amount of weight. But as I mentioned, I never really put it in the Lord's hands before. Thank you for taking the time to respond. I appreciate knowing someone is praying for me too. Today could be difficult for me due to things that would love to cause depression, but I'm not going to go down that road!

Father in Heaven, I thank you first for knowing that you are a very present help in a time of trouble. I refuse to be down today, because this is a day that you have made, it's another opportunity for you to show yourself God, and for me to magnify you in the things that I do. So I thank you for leading my decisions, and choices concerning food. I praise you for comforting me with your peace and not cake! God you are awesome and worthy to be praised. Bless my sister today, take her a step closer to her goal this day. Let godsbeloved79 know that you are with her and that she is more than a conqueror! Dear Heavenly father you said that where two touch in agree anything in your name that you shall be in the midst. We are believing that you will help us to reach our weight loss goals and to live healthy lives. Our bodies are your temple and we must keep them honorable in your sight. PS - Girlfriend we are too blessed to be depressed over anything. But I do understand that we are human and the flesh tends to rise up sometimes. Dear father let the flesh die daily that your WILL can be manifested in our lives.
