Well today I am 38. Starting to feel old

I really want this to work this time and get down to my goal.
I have my first appointment today for a breast reduction.
Not sure why but feel the need to do something with my hair as well.
Anyone do drastic things around their bday?
I am off for 2 days as well so think of all the trouble I can get into.
Hubby is off with me so I guess today we will go for lunch.

Had a few kids at work tell me they didn't think I was that old ha ha so that felt good
Don't plan on any cheats as that would just defeat my purpose but do plan to have a good steak or something special like that.
The sun is shining spring has sprung ( finally )and I am going to have a great day today in the warm temps

And best of luck on your journey, try to remember 38 is just a number..
You're only as young as you feel..I'll be 37 this Dec. so I understand, but I refuse to feel or act "old"..
I am just a juvenile at heart..
And I know lots of people who make changes at certain ages..I guess I'm not one of them, the only thing I've done is dye my hair..
Take care..

I just turned 49 and am feeling better than ever. Age is just a number....and sometimes a really good excuse to be lazy, so birthday's are usually when I make my 'new year's' resolutions.

Many, many more good years ahead. Take good care of yourself and your health and you won't feel old.

You're not old at all, enjoy your b-day! I always enjoy a big steak on my b-day, too.

I'll be turning 38 next month. People are always telling me since I've lost 100+ pounds that I look like I'm in my 20's. My next door neighbor saw me walking down the street with my 17-year old son a few weeks ago and she told me from a distance, she thought I was my son's girlfriend that I looked that young and thin (giggle). That comment made my day! I have colored my hair (blond highlights) and in two weeks my stylist is adding some gold accents to the blond. I would never have done stuff like this before.

I wonder if it has something to do with getting close to the big 4-0 or just feeling so good about myself since losing this weight.

I just turned 36 on the 12th. I feel a bit old as well... but I injured my shoulder in a volleyball game and I am having it surgically repaired this Wednesday. I have a positive outlook though and am ready to lose the rest of my weight and I am looking forward to feeling younger than my number.
Take care,

I just turned 37 in March. I had a hard time with it. My dad gave me a book by John Eldredge called "Waking the Dead". It helped me put some things in perspective. I also got motivated to get this weight off once and for all before I turn 38. Just learning to find some satisfaction with the life that I do have has been my goal since then. No, didn't end up where I thought I would, but you know what, the stuff I've been through has made me the person I am today. Being a single mom, being overweight, different things I've gone through have given me a new sympathy for those around me in the same situation. Being able to help others through when I can, makes it worth it all.
