Morning!
Stats: not quite as fat as I was July 1st.

Getting a netrition order ready. What are your opinions of Natures Hollow SF preserves and SF honey, syrups? And, your favorite quest bars? I want to order Lilys chocolate chips but too hot right now. I ordered the Nuts n more last time, very good on Fiber Rich crackers, only 1 net carb per 2 T. Any other must haves?

We have had an unusual summer here, cooler than normal and a little more rain although we need more to fill our lakes, north of us has had plenty of rain.

Yes Judy, post the choc cake we all loved when you get back from camping.

Not much happening weight wise, so will just say fluctuating from 256/258. Food and exercise is the same so I'm thinking water wt. issues. Something should break soon.

Welcome newbies.

good morning.

Welcome, Julie!!!

On the Netrition order. I love Natures Hollow preserves and maple syrup. I haven't tried the honey, but will have to see what it is sweetened with.

I was up 2 pounds to 149 this am. I don't really want 150 to be the top of my window so I have some whittling down to do.

I bought a Wiifit U...a new exercise program for my Wii Fit. I will try it out this afternoon.

still keeping track of my foods. This is a good thing. My calories have been around 1200ish. So...???? We will see how this goes this week.

Carolyn, thanks for the heads up on the Natures Hollow, the reviews were great.

Last order I got Barney Butter, an crunchy almond butter, very very good. Also, nuts n more toffee peanut butter, also very good. Fiber Rich bars, which I have had in the past, not much taste but a good carrier of other foods

Here is my PSA announcement...Don't buy the Wii Fit U unless you have Wii U..and don't open it and try it in your machine to find out it doesn't work. The nice lady at WM let me exchange it for a Dance 4. Otherwise, once it is opened, you can't get your money back even though the Nintendo peeps told me to take it back to WM.

Oh, Florida!!! Have fun!!!

I have decided that maybe my body doesn't like tons of fat in my food. I like tons of fat in my food, but with no gallbladder it might not process it. Anyway, just going to cut back a bit on the fat for a while. I will never go low, but 50 percent sounds like a good number.

Carolyn, didn't realize you didn't have your gallbladder. I wondered how that would work with high amounts of fat? When was it removed!

Gals, I found a wonderful new product yesterday, new to me anyway. Meyenberg Goat Milk butter, oh my! If you like goat cheese, you will love this. It was pricey but will use sparingly, I just ate a teaspoon of it to try it and might just use it as a treat! Loved it.

Also made a new to me treat. Equal parts soft cream cheese/crunchy almond butter/heavy whipping cream, with a touch of sweetener. Put in mini cupcake liners and froze, yum.

I'm another one without a gallbladder and was wondering the same thing Carolyn. I've been toning down the fat also. Won't do low but keep it more balanced.

Nature's Hollow preserves are just fantastic. I think maybe they are sweetened with xylitol. Double-check me if you might be sensitive to that - it's not hurt me a bit.
Whole Foods carries Lily's chocolates here, if you don't want to wait.

Baby Piper and her parents left this afternoon. *sniff* Baby Maddox and his parents are still here. We all had a nice boat ride today. It's been a beautiful summer and this is such a pretty lake. But to have the forced togetherness at the lake house is the very best thing - always has been, but to see the babies interact so frequently has been such a joy. I hope I remember this feeling - it is such complete happiness.

I dry-rubbed a pork shoulder last night, then put it in a slow-cooker all day. It doesn't smell that good to me.

Oh Buffy one other thing from netrition if you like BBQ sauce is Guy's BBQ sauce. It's very good. I think I'll add a drop or two of liquid smoke. Otherwise it tastes VERY good and sugar-free.

I use 1/4 or 1/3 cup of the Better than Flour mix. If you need that recipe, let me know.
I add a heaping tablespoon of dark unsweetened cocoa, and at least 2 envelopes of truvia. I think I used 3 on this last little cake. Then it's really liquid to the right consistency. You could add a little of HWC but I didn't. I used a splash of SF Vanilla DaVinci and I used Hood milk as my liquid. All eyeballed but it's a very forgiving recipe.

I mix it up in that mini casserole dish and microwaved for 1 minute. If you add a lot of liquid, just cook it longer. if it's cake batter consistency, 1 minute or 1 minute 10 seconds should do it.

Let me know if you have questions.

to Julie!
Nice to see you Seoul.
Sorry I missed your departure MK - have a blast!

Hi,

I lost my gallbladder about 10 yrs. ago. It was about a year after starting low carbing. I never had any bad effects like my mom had the dumping thing. Not good!!

I am making that little chocolate cake!!!

I'll have to tell dd about the goat milk butter. I can't do anything goat or lamb

I met a new cousin on ancestry. He is about 27. He sent me some pictures of our family.
Wierd, huh??

Gained 1 pound since I weighed last, so back in the saddle as they
say and glad to be on a plan (looked back in April on 10lbs lost!)
Doing the same as April which was Low Carb, High fat.

Having a family gathering later. No idea of menu, but will
eat before I go and have my SF/LC diet drink with me, chewing
gum and LC treats in case I need them. I think it will be
just a hamburger/hotdog thing which I can work with.

Have a great day!

Having a great time watching my new favorite TV series
Outlander, I have read and reread the books
--my favorite author...love it !!
Knitting a camisole/tank as I watch...

20 days till FL vacation...looking forward to this!!

I need to go to whole foods, a little ways from me, to get the Lilly's chocolate. Figured too hot to order it online in August. But, opening in Sept. Is a new Whole Foods in my neighborhood, can't wait!

Sure missing my Tropical Oil coconut oil, I ran out and have Nutiva on order, another fave brand but right now using Louann, or whatever that brand I'd from walmart, not nearly as good in my BPC.
