Taxes for us = Waiting until October.
Even if we give our accountant all our info in March, it's October.
Whatever.

Swimming tomorrow morning, then lunch with friend whose husband has the colon cancer. Then choir practice for Good Friday service.

Nothing to see here.
Move along.

We had DGS this morning for a little bit while his mother worked out. They're all going to Abique (sp?) NM for a week. DD & her DH have gone there once or twice/year since their honeymoon. I will miss DGS. I think he REALLY knows us and loves us and of course we love him... but it's so nice he recognizes us.

Happy weekend to all!

Hi!!

Have fun swimming and lunch !! Sure your friend will appreciate your friendship and love.

Scartlet and I are going to the Park Opening. They have camel rides there, etc. don't know if she will want to do that. Gary rode a camel in Egypt and said it was a very smooth
Ride. lol

Hope Phil is getting better each day.

Hi friends
Worked on my taxes yesterday, was almost done & the power went out for 4 hrs! (motor vehicle accident caused it). Which fried my internet hub! So no internet for over 24 hrs.
I had to go to accountant early this morning and now... Its done! paid for & faxed off to get america ones done. Getting there!
Picked up a new hub & better power-bar. Finally got it all working & input into all my devices.
DH took DGD#3 on a long ride today... first time their mom has let any of them do that... she's scared of motorcycles.
Here's the happy riders.

Hi

Oh, Mary Kay, I'm sure Phil is so uncomfortable. Praying he and you can both get a more regulated schedule and lots of rest. I am sure you are glad that the nurse stops by. Hopefully you have a caring one.

Debby: What a great picture!! It is funny seeing a neighborhood in your pictures instead of the open ranges!!

Tomorrow is weigh-in day. It won't be pretty. I am blaming it on the bagels!!!

Yes, it is! He picked her up at a sleep-over. Fancy neighborhood...
Hope your weigh-in is better than expected, but motivating!
for Phil & Mary Kay.

OH - not your neighborhood Debby.
I also thought you were quite a way from your nearest neighbors, and now I realize, YOU ARE!
How old is DGD? Did she enjoy herself?

Carolyn I hope your weigh-in is surprisingly good.

MK - I think this is the hardest time for recovery. I'm so sorry Phil's uncomfortable.
Prayers for you and for Phil's speedier recovery and comfort.

to all!

Yep, we live on a farm... DGD lives on 5 acres as well, but her friend lives right in town. She's 10 yrs. old & had fun. Today she got to help in the kitchen at church... stirring soup, she liked that too.

Weigh in???? What's that???

I think I'm going to be hiding from any type of weighing in for awhile. It's been a very food heavy weekend, to say the least.

Hi gals!!

LOL! I cancelled my first appointment so I thought I should pay the piper today. I am definitely playing the "bagel card", but Frank is the weigh-in guy. (Her dh) and he is not as compassionate as Dr. Cobb.

Yes, we have Easter coming up. Bad food week is right!!!

Hoping Phil has a better week, MK.

Debbie, Sounds like your dgd had lots of fun!!

I bet it's not as bad as you thought.
Can't wait to hear the info.

Dr. Cobb's DH may need an anonymous letter reminding him you catch more flies with honey.... I mean, it's not like you don't already know what you eat that isn't perfect is going to end up on the scales! LOL
Let me know.
I'll sharpen my pen! However I'll be kind.

I did play the "LC bagel card"..I was 148 with clothes on, which is 3 pounds higher than my goal. He was fine... Poor guy has a rough job weighing us all in.

I did buy some Carbquik there, which she has on hand. I am hoping that it has improved since it first came out..Will taste and see..Hopefully, the twang is gone.

148 sounds great to me.

Does Carbquik still have wheat in it?

I think it does. However, it was a lot tastier than in the olden days when it first came out. I made pancakes for lunch and 2 Cq and water biscuits for breakfast tomorrow. Sooo much better.

Oh my, let's hope Cindy sees this darling horse!!!

Got the kids' Easter candy. One small tasty chocolate bunny and some chocolate carrots by Lindt.

I bought a supplement called Be-Thin at my LC doctors. You spray it under your tongue 2 times a day. So, this is my experiment for the month. I also am starting shakes for meal replacements.

I am excited to see Brett. He is coming Friday, we will go to KC Sat, then back that day, with church on Sunday. What are your plans???

That'll be a nice weekend with Brett, and then with the whole family in KC.

Today is a mini-pedi. When I was getting my hair done, I told the nail woman I would get more pedicures, but simply did not have the time to spend nearly 2 hours getting a pedicure. And truth be told, I don't want the massage and all that junk. I don't know why. I just want my toenails to look good and I get to go to my next deal.
She said she could do the whole thing in about 45 minutes, so I'm doing that.

Choir practice tonight.
Maundy Thursday service tomorrow night. My alto friend will sit at the back of the church and sing "Were You There". She has a mother earth fantastic voice.
Good Friday service at First Christian Church downtown - we are combining choirs and the service for our churches.
Saturday night, family dinner with SS, DBIL & one of her kids, my cute smart mother, and hopefully DS & DDIL & baby Piper! All the offerings will be low carb, except DH will probably paint a little high carb BBQ sauce on the ribs. I'm making a cheesecake. My mom will make some kind of old-fashioned Jell-O salad - the kind I used to DREAD when I was a kid and now we all fight over it. HA HA
Sunday - church!

I am interested in your experiment, Carolyn! VERY.

hugs all around

Morning!
DH celebrated his birthday yesterday as well, April 15 is easy birthday to remember if you live in US.

I can't say as I've accomplished much but seem to be busy lately, I think it is the slow motion that makes everything take so long.

Going to DD#2 house for Easter. I am bringing the dessert and potatoes. Now, what dessert?

Had to cover plants Monday night there was a freeze warning, surely that will be the last time?

Judy, how rewarding when our grand babies get to know us. When Grant (14) was just a baby, DD noticed that whenever they would turn onto our street, his little arms and legs would just start pumping, he was excited to come to our house! Sweet

DS, DDIL and little Oliver will be here for Easter, although they are staying at DD#2,s house, they are bringing Lucy the puppy and didn't think she would get along too well with my cats, probably a good idea.

One of my friends has 7 baby ducks in her pool, they knew there was a best of eggs. Very cute.

$18 haircut, wow! My last one was $48, which did include a blow dry I guess.

Need to get some office work done and then go buy the kids something for Easter
