I made boiled eggs today, too!! This is spooky. Brett bought a pressure cooker smoker. I wonder if that would work.

Glad you made it through the Annual General Meeting!!! Now you can relax and not worry about Molly being a teen mom, too!

I think if you could freeze milk, you might be able to freeze this milk.

Thanks. I just feel so mean, leaving her there to get 'hurt'... that's gotta be how she thinks... she tried so hard to leave with me.
Interesting that my vet told me to give her arnica twice a day too.

Bailey is going to a new beauty shop tomorrow and I'm all worried that she'll be scared and think I'm leaving her. I'm sure she's a little confused lately anyway, but she really needs groomed!

Arnica is a homeopathic treatment for healing injuries. Very effective.

So relating to you Sandy... our "babies"

Hi

Let us know how Bailey likes her new beauty shop today!! I think those groomers have good doggie vibrations so she will be fine.

I think nothing will get Molly down.. She will be her normal fun self in a day or two for sure.

Weigh-in today. No more water for me. LOL.

Hi gals

-2 pounds. Of course I weighed in the am and wore capris!! I am their best patient! LOL

My friend who is in her 70's lost 17 pounds cutting carbs. Her blood tests were amazing and she is pleased as SF punch!!! Now we have 2 doctors here that advocate LCarb living. We are truly blessed. I probably could start a LC bakery lol.

WOW - so are you now 141? Will I be able to recognize you on Saturday?

I'd probably drive to Independence for that low carb bakery.

Bailey did great at her beauty appt. The groomer was so nice and she even let her just run around free in the shop after she was done because she said Bailey didn't really like staying in the kennel, lol. Spoiled by everyone!!

I think you should start a mail-order bakery first and try your wares out on all of us first!! I'd order for sure.

Good morning ladies!!!

It is going to be chilly here and probably everywhere today!! Reading today but need to exercise sometime. lol.

Sandy, have you found a gym that you like??? Or is there one at your place???

I need to order more bagels.

Have a great day everyone.

My dd is hooked on True Detective. It is on HBO. Maybe it will come to Netflix soon.

I like TDetective too. Very dark and gritty though. It has some great acting in it for sure.
No gym yet. I did make it to the local WW yesterday for my monthly weigh in. I thought about staying for the meeting but always feel like a fraud since I do LC and not LF, lol.

I passed Radina's yesterday. It's on the other side of town from us but it's still not far. I still haven't visited it yet.

Today is the first day that I didn't have a list of "to do" things so I think I'm going to try to relax and enjoy it, especially since it's so cold outside. I think I'm going to find the local beauty school and go there to get my hair colored. I'm tired of doing it myself and it would be nice for a change to have it done.

I'm making manicotti for dinner tonight with Ouis' tortillas and having Italian sausage on the side.

You'll probably see - I made my first batch of those this morning.
WOW those are quick, easy, and good! I was quite surprised how great mine tasted when it was supposed to be neutral. But I can definitely see using those instead of the Buena Vida I buy at WM. No wheat! A little more work, but hopefully worth it for our health's sake.

Now after blathering on about how good Ouiz's tortillas are, I have LOVED the bread I got from netrition - the Great Low Carb Bread Company. I got cinnamon bagels (can only eat half at a time! unheard of for me!) and rye bread and I think I got some hamburger buns but I put them in the freezer and forgot about what else I got. LOL We really like that bread, though. (*cough* *cough* *wheat* *cough* *cough* )

Love the thought of Bailey running around free! It just makes me smile.

Debby how is Molly recovering?

Rain is in the air. Hubby is thinning out my geranium and I'm heading for my electric pressure cooker. Life is good.

I haven't had bread in so long that I don't miss it at all now. It's been years since I've had a nice slice of artesian bread. That use to be my favorite. I've been enjoying green smoothies. Hubby likes them too. I can't make one without him saying something like me too. He had breakfast with his retired friends this morning. I enjoyed my smoothie alone today.

I'm enjoying all your postings. Hoping your day goes by smoothly.

Hi gals

Glad you like green smoothies, Sharon. They are great for you.

Good luck with the local beauty school, Sandy. We have one here and they do a decent manicure.

Q's tortillas are so easy to make. They would be good in manicotti for sure. Have you been to the library yet , Sandy?? I went there once and it was very nice.

Dd likes dramatic stuff so she would enjoy that. I might be scared. I am watching Luther on Netflix. It is kind of scary.

I am resting up so I can get up early to meet Judy on Saturday. I will have a wake up call and bring my little Alarm with me.

Molly's recovering well now. She gets annoyed by me telling her not to lick... & I put the collar on her at night. Today she thought she was going to get to do her 'run' when we got home. And when I was putting stuff away, she went to visit the neighbors' horses. I picked her up in the car, as she was making her way home. So, I'll have to watch her like a hawk when I let her out. Thanks for asking.
I'll be going for a X-country ski for my exercise in a little while. Need to do something outside for Molly's 'slower' exercise (slow for her).

I was at Costco today and they had a super greens mix in the refrigerated section. There was a smoothie recipe on it. I almost got it but I like my smoothies with frozen fruit and it is too dang cold here for a frozen shake!

I'm glad Molly is doing well. Bailey bounced back very quickly from her surgery back when she was 6 months old. I was actually shocked how fast she bounced back. I think high energy dogs do very well recuperating.

No, Carolyn, but the library is on my "list". I figured the beauty school can't mess up color any more than I do. And I've been doing it myself for years so it'll be nice to have it done. As long as it doesn't end up purple!! haha

Is your date for breakfast this Saturday? I'm sure you guys are going to have a great time! I hope the snowstorm doesn't effect you coming back home?

The manicotti was great!! That is really a keeper recipe for those tortilla/wraps. DH really liked them too. And I'd bought some of that Joseph's Flatout flat breads and cut them in strips, sprayed them with Pam, sprinkled with garlic powder and parm cheese and baked. Yum! They don't soak up sauce but they sure tasted good!

It is this Saturday and I hope I am charming and delightful as we meet at 6:30 AM!

Dear Molly - glad she feels so well! And you too with that big conference in the rear view mirror.

What is a green smoothie?

I think the snowstorm is coming on Sunday. So we should be home. Judy, you will be charming at 6:30 for sure. I hope that is not too early but didn't want to cut our visit short.

Anxious to hear how the color goes and since you aren't going blonde they can't mess it up too badly I'm sure. It will be great!!!

I have got to try that new version of the tortillas.

Happy that Molly is doing so well!

Judy the color is green when you are finished making it. This one I made was called a shamrock. It had raw spinach, avocado whey protein, coconut milk and some ice cubes. I added a heaping tablespoon of golden flax meal and chia seeds. My goodness that was good! Love them.

Carolyn, I just used the original recipe for the tortillas except I added a bit of garlic powder and a pinch of salt. I like the simplicity of it!

Sharon, does that smoothie taste sweet at all? They sound scary to me, lol.

Yes it is sweet from the Jay Robb Vanilla Whey protein that I put in. It's sweetened with stevia. The avocado makes it smooth and and you can't taste it in there. It's really good.
