Hi everybody!!! I'm back from the beach and have made the move to the Little Apple. I had a blast but am now exhausted! Lol. Still trying to play catch up and have not went back and read what all I've missed. I'll try to catch up but can't make any promises. We had to overnight in Dallas as we missed our connection coming home. I waved to you Buffy, hope you could see me, lol. We were at Comfort Inn in Grapevine. Finally got home, barely touched down before we loaded up and were off again to get up here. But we're already heading back home Wed. for some appointments and meetings. I hope things settle down a bit very soon. I hope you're all doing well.

Hi ladies..

What gives cats diabetes is high carb cat fud.. So, Alex is on a FFeast soft food diet, just like peeps...Alex is an orange point Siamese in the avi..We are a one cat family.
I gave him shots last March/April/and he was off the juice in the middle of May. Had
surgery for cyst and went back on the end of December because his numbers were high.

Akk..MK: Mary's London bf, Gilliam, said that they found Green dead, run over by a bus.
That was the same day that Bates went to York..but Green was found dead in Piccadilly (London)..Did he do it? Push Green in front of the bus? No one knows of this possibility
but Mary and Anna know he went "somewhere" that day...I hope Bates didn't do it..

Oh, Sandy...I hate it when I am too busy when I get back from vacation..Need vacation to last longer in my head..

Hugs all around..I am making that funky bread (nuts/oats/) for dh. The original recipe
calls for sunflower seeds, so last time I made the right way. Not that great. It is better with sliced almonds subbed for the sunflower seeds.

I haven't watched DA yet but I am never spoiled - and I'm just going to weigh in and say yes, I hope Bates wasn't a party to Green's demise.

I am also happy for Green's demise.

I'm never spoiled either!!! Green was a terrible person. Probably someone else pushed him.

Watching the Olympics. Anyone else??? Can't wait for ice dancing.

We were without power for 6 very cold hours this afternoon - from noon until almost 7:00pm.

Everything I was supposed to do was cancelled - it was pretty outside, but huge branches were crashing down. Tomorrow is going to be interesting!

We are in the sunshine at 72 degrees. Have the windows opened. It is hard to believe that MK's area is so snowy.

Made some blueberry muffins. A little cute Girl Scout sold Gary some thin mints. I gave a bunch away at Bible Study. Will bring the rest to reading tomorrow. They are in my car so I won't be tempted.

Hope you are staying safe.

It finally warmed up here - to 44!!
The highest we'll get in the next few days is close to 50 and then back down to the 20's again.

But I made a wreath while I was home-bound! This is the almost finished version.

Good morning

I was thinking of making one of those eggs with cream cheese/ vanilla and a bit of sweetener. Can't remember the name, but I didn't make it and will tomorrow cuz I got some strawberries.

Off to exercise , then read. Oh MK I do like your wreath. It is springy. We need it! And you definitely do!!!

catch you all later. I have a weigh-in next week with my doctor. It keeps me honest.

Is it a mock Danish, Carolyn?
If it is, would you please refresh our memories because it sounds delicious and sweet?

What a great wreath MK!

Cute wreath MK. I'm glad the ice has left you. We were at 72 driving home yesterday but tomorrow after the rain it's supposed to get cold again.

Yes Carolyn, please refresh our memories on the egg dish.

Have any of you seen the gluten free all purpose flour at Costco? It's around 13.00 for 5 pounds and made from a mixture of grains and flax. It says replace it cup for cup for regular flour.

Judy we're having summer weather here. The other extremes with our drought problems.

I'm sorry I'm so quiet but experiencing pain issues with my knee that just won't let me sleep. I have a dr. appt. the first part of April to have it looked at. Hopefully I can start a healing progression to get back to normal once again.

Gosh Sharon that seems like a long time to wait! But I'll let you be in charge of this and not me. Although that is completely out of my character.

Sandy you have our weather, then. Pretty sweet right now. And yes, cold coming back tonight/tomorrow very early.

We have Sam's here and no Costco so no gluten-free flour (that I'm aware).
Did you happen to see how many carbs?

I feel badly for those few people on the pasta thread who can't get past the slimy feel. Gosh, mine were not slimy at all. But Jen Hoberer (?) the original poster, said what has happened to me, too - every time she makes it it's a little different. Me too.
One time I had PERFECT success with Peggy's dumplings (that's what this recipe is based on) and the next they fell apart.

Hi ladies..

It was warm this morning..for an hour, then dipped down to 44 and the winds were whipping through the WMart parking lot.

Oh..Cheese Danish recipe: One Tbs. of cream cheese melted in microwave in a bowl, then beat an egg into it, add a tiny bit of vanilla and sweetener. Pour into a heated, prepared skillet..Flip when done on one side. Serve with berries or SF syrup or
SF jam or butter.. Yummy and different.

Sandy, have you gone to Radina's yet for coffee? Nice place to take your puter and meet some peeps..

Judy: I emailed you about our possible meet-up.. Hoping you can make it..

Alex is now registered at WalMart in the pharmacy for his insulin. They checked me
as guardian..LOL..I had to make up a birthdate for him, too. We are switching to Levemir in a week..It is supposed to be better for cats than NPH..I think my vet thinks
I am nuts.

Do we think Alex will be permanently insulin-dependent now?
Or do we hope this is temporary as a reaction to his operation?

We will meet!
Only horrific illness or some other catastrophe could stop me.

Hi gals,
I've been so busy, with life & work... missing out on the boards. Getting ready for the church Annual meeting, board meetings, and on top of that I'm organizing the night & care of the Watoto African's Children's Choir.
Made an appointment for Molly's ovary removal... Monday. She's just got back to her normal self, after being in heat.
Hope you're all Svelting!

Debby goodness gracious that sounds like quite a job - the children's choir!
And dear Molly - I hope her operation is painless and she has a good sleep.

Breakfast is open to one & all! The more the merrier!

No, I haven't been anywhere yet except Walmart....many times. And Aldi. I think next week I might be caught up enough around here to feel like I have nothing to do so I might go to Radina's then. Thanks for the tip.

I know that is early, but there is a conference that starts at 8:30 ish. We want plenty of chatting time.

I'm sure you are busy getting the essentials, Sandy. Thank goodness for WM and Target, but that is further away in back of Famous Dave's. Love that place!!

I only catch it when DBF is watching. It makes me want to go skiing! Tom asked, "Could you ski down that hill?" I said, "Sure but it would take me 30 minutes!"
