Just to get MK more involved.

HEY! Because of your FB post, I actually did 60 squats yesterday. Spaced out over the day, but still!

Today is my rest day, so... I got that going for me. Plus this is really the only exercise I've done in the last couple of years except for swim aerobics (which disappeared after mother's recovery...).

Anybody else doing this?

Hi ladies..

Dh and I went to the local coffee shop where he learned to like a Breve.. and we had half of a high carb peach muffin, which inspired me to make some LC ones.

Oh, Debby..I have been down that same road that your dd might be on..Praying for God's peace no matter what the outcome.

Cindy: Thanks for sharing those incredible pictures..Can we say "ancient"? What a different part of the world and what a great gift you gave to those people who don't have good health care and probably can't afford the simplest thing.

We visited Connie/David from the accident..They are going to the doctor today..David has 2 black eyes and Connie's body is so sore. She was really sore before this accident..Full of arthritis..Hope they give her some good pills..

Brrr..but it is so nice to see the sun..

Buffy: You were smart to go where they LOVE the snow..The more the merrier..Have you tried any cross country skiing out there? My mom loved to do that..It is amazing
exercise and not dangerous. I loved it, too.

Carolyn - I am concerned about David. Unless the had his stitches just over his eyebrows I am concerned about the two black eyes (which in ER we would call racoon eyes!). Hoping they do a CT scan of his head to rule out a basilar skull fracture. Otherwise, if his stitches were about his eyes or higher, since the face is so vascular, it could just be that he has developed gravity (dependent) bruising. He doesn't have fluid coming out his nose or ears does he (another sign of a basilar skull fracture, goes along with racoon eyes).

Sandy - Praying for your DD's pregnancy.

Cindy - Wonderful photos!! That would be a very rewarding experience. Where did you go? Some of the temples look like what I have seen in Bangkok (over 35 years ago visited there before we moved back to the USA--Dad had been stationed in Japan).

Dear medical people and even those of us without much medical knowledge:

I honestly thank you for pointing us in any direction you spot - even if it's not a problem, it might open our eyes to something we might have missed.
Thank you for your insight, and compassion to know when we should be patient and know when we might need to ask more questions or different questions.

You have all helped me, and by extension, my loved ones.

(feeling grateful today, evidently. )

Hi ladies..

Debbie: He had his stitches up on his forehead and the hospital they went to after
the accident did a CAT scan of his head, so I think he is okay. Plus, they both went
for checkups with their regular doctor today..However, thanks so much for the
information..He does have raccoon eyes for sure. Connie has lots more pain
meds so hopefully, she can get more sleep tonight.

Brr..10 degrees, but no wind, so that is good, I think.

Good job!!!

I haven't started this one yet - I'm still doing the plank challenge.
We do squats 3 days a week in weight training - about 175 each time, I think. I should count on Friday!

Carolyn - glad they're doing OK

Judy - I agree with you! Thanks to our nurses that help us with the hard questions!!

And on a happy note, DH's CT showed that the chemo has REALLY shrunk the tumor! I have a pic if anyone is feeling brave!

So one more round of chemo, and then surgery in mid March.

Debby - prayers!!

Thanks for the prayers everyone. They are being answered. DD sounded much better today. She got some answers & that helped a lot. Still waiting for total confirmation, but ready to accept it either way. We'll continue to pray & trust.

And also for Debby's dd. Having God's peace is a true blessing.

It is -5 here right now and our official count is 11" of snow. But it is a very fluffy snow, great skiing snow. It only took me 1 1/2 hours to shovel the drive and sidewalk.

Thanks for your prayers. DD is getting a D & C now, she's greatly relieved to have answers now. The 'sack' was empty, so no baby. That will surely be easier for her to handle emotionally, though it is a disappointment. Thanks for your prayers & being there for us. God is good.

Cindy - I could not eat that! I couldn't even eat a whole lobster!

I'm so cold and just staying warm is no longer an option. Trying not to get frostbite on dog walks or just getting to the car is the best I can hope for . . . .

I was going to run errands this afternoon, but I'm tired and I'm in.

DH was supposed to start chemo today, but it's been postponed until next week.

Thanks,
It is such a relief to hear her sounding so much better.
I looked up the condition & its called 'blighted ovum' - apparently not uncommon. The explanation of that condition also helps take away the grief of losing an actual baby, because the baby never even got started... only the placenta. What a roller-coaster though.
Molly is now in "heat" - has probably been for 2-3 days now. Poor baby. I guess we'll be finding out if there are any UN-neutered males in our area. From my research, there aren't, but who knows? Will be getting her spayed.

Carolyn have a fun visit with your DD! And drive carefully, please.

Debby it would make you feel differently if there was never a baby there. It would me, anyway.
Good luck keeping away Molly's suitors!

MK you've got to get good and warm! Warm bath! Warm jammies! Warm blankets! Hot chocolate! I don't know what else I can try to boss you into, but.... WARM!

Debby: So glad that I could a little. I also had another miscarriage before ds was born. Some eggs aren't healthy enough to become babies.

we will have fun at the wedding. Nice couple. They asked $$ to be sent a charity in lieu of gifts. They specified a special charity. Great idea!!

Debby - A lot of people have a miscarriage instead of their first baby - it's natures' way of getting everything moving correctly. I'm glad it was empty too!

Judy - I know! I'm so tired of being cold! Getting depressed ......

Carolyn - enjoy the wedding!

No 'visiting dogs' or others today. Molly got extra 'loves' today, so its going not too bad. I'll have to wait till the heat is over to make her appointment.
Nice day at home, pre-cooking my veggies, mayo, making jerky (making some I can eat - no cyclamates), and caught up on bookwork.

DGD#3 is staying the night with us. Nice to have one on one time.

Hope everyone is having success with their svelte pursutes. Mine are going a little better this week.
