Hey gang!
Yes, Judy needs to be excused for time in our little corner of LCFs.

Company arrived mid afternoon. Had a dinner planned and served toffee for dessert.

Finally got my flu shot at walmart after trying since last Friday. But, they could not get my medicare card to go through so I ended up paying the $25 and they will keep trying!

My kids range from 36 to 48 and yes MK, thanks for noticing that I was only 2 when I had my first baby

Thank you for your notes. I had a much more happy and productive day after speaking with my friends plus I had a pass! Plus, you made me laugh and I adore you all!

Buffy what an extraordinary birth. I'm sure it was in all the papers and I just missed it!

Debby thank goodness and ptl your sister is home and hopefully doing well. It does seem like a short hospital stay for such a serious operation. Maybe that robot does very little damage for that type of surgery? I hope that's what it is.

Buffy I'm so glad you got your flu shot. I think we had a couple of deaths from the flu here in Oklahoma just recently.

Baby Maddox rolled over from his tummy to his back, twice this evening. Then he was tired.
I told his mother: "I guess Maddox will be the one in charge of when tummy time is over!" She said, "When is he not in charge?" HA HA!
Her DH goes to California for some conference every year. He'll leave in a couple of weeks or so and she & baby Maddox are going to stay with us while he's gone!
And I was just about to agree with Sandy about not being excited about visitors or visiting. I too prefer a hotel (I bet you're all breathing a sigh of relief in case I visit you!) and I always stress over a visitor - but this will be fun! (ask me when I'm worn out and have no clean shirts from spit up and drool! )

MK I love hearing about your kiddos.

Well Judy, children with grandchildren definitely don't count in the visitor category. They are in the fun category!! Sometimes you might wish their parents would leave and just leave the grandchildren! Then you can send them home after you get them good and spoiled!

I found some teeny tiny gloves and mittens for my great grandsons and they love them!! They want to wear them all the time and the baby (16 months) acts like a bear when he has them on and growls at you as he holds his hands up with the gloves or mittens on. It's adorable!

Morning!

Our guests are in their motor home and spent the night there, very easy type of guests! Today a little road trip to an antique mall and then they would like some Texas bar b q, easy enough. Like most of you, I don't enjoy house guests that much unless it is very good friends or close family but it must show as we never have the unwanted kind.

Judy, how fun to have the baby stay with you, great bonding time.

Better get busy!

Good morning
We had a big wind storm last night... Even shook the house. PTL the power didn't go out. What an interesting winter, its so warm again!

My kids: son 41, daughter 38... don't know how they got so old, they're catching up fast!

Ah Maddox!
Buffy! Gotta love company with their own unit! And now you're ready for company next time with your spare room. Have fun!

I'm working on scanning pictures for my DD. When they were here, she put stickies on pictures in all our albums. Mostly of herself, so she can have an album of her childhood. I'm making good progress on getting through them...

Have a great day!

Very windy here the last couple of days Debby.

One of my DDs scanned all of my pictures! So nice once it's done.

Yes, guests that come in motor homes are very easy.

Boy, my tummy is upset this morning. Hope it behaves this afternoon while we are running around. My SIL hasn't felt the best lately and is tired so we are both in the take it easy mode.

Judy? Are you working? Hmmmm? Don't let us distract you! Judy? Judy?

Hi ladies..

Oh, noes, Buffy..Hope you don't have the tummy flu... Taking it easy is right..

Maddox is amazing..I'll bet he is an early walker..

Had a very legal lunch at the Mexican restaurant..My friend is doing LC, so no cheeps..
They actually have broccoli/cauliflower with cheese dip as a side order..

I love toddlers..When they start to do such cute things, it makes me smile..and when they start to talk, it is amazingly amusing..

Buffy: Glad you got your flu shot..

Pork chops for dinner..Probably will do them on the George Foreman..and fresh green beans, which looked amazing in the store..

That's what happens to us WAY too frequently. You are very blessed indeed to still have power!

Hmmm?
What?
I've stayed away because I heard there was a stomach bug going around!

Believe me I will NOT be laughing if you really have a stomach bug.
Hope it was just a small glitch.

WOW what a good side order!
I'm a little jealous...

Taking a little of the George Stella lasagna over to my mother's. She'll make 2 meals out of 1 big serving, which is fine. I don't think I'll make that again. Part of the reason is I used Italian sausage for half the meat and I think I might not like it as much as I previously thought. It's just so strong.
Plus the cheese mixture on top is very dry, although I've kept it covered in my refrigerator since I made it.
Oh well - I had to try it. I've got wonderful, simple recipes and I'll probably go back to those, minus the noodles. Unless I make the noodles Carolyn & Sandy are making. Sandy didn't sound like they turned out great for you?

While I'm visiting with my mom, I'll make her a little breakfast gravy so she can have something different for a few mornings. I have some mozzarella cheese biscuits she can use for the biscuits.

Actually, I cut some strips of the dough with my pizza cutter and boiled them up for dinner. They had a mouth feel like those frozen Reames noodles I used to buy and they tasted good! DH really liked them. They'd be perfect for chicken and noodles!! The flat lasagna type that I froze will have to wait until I'm in the mood to make lasagna. Which might not be too long. If they're good too, I'm definitely going to be in the market for a pasta machine. The sad thing is I just saw one at a thrift store not long ago and thought, "well, I sure don't need that thing!" Hahaha. I hope they don't cause any gastric distress. If they don't, I'll be making those again!

Yes, I layered it between parchment sheets and then put it all in a ziploc bag. Years ago I used to buy a frozen lasagna noodle. Each piece was 1/2 the size of a 9x13 pan and I loved it!!! Of course, I can't find it anywhere anymore. It was Aunt V's brand, if you ever see it, take a picture for me, lol. Anyway, hopefully this will work great, just like that one did. We shall see, I guess.

Hi ladies.

So glad you liked the noodles. My pasta cranker makes thin spaghetti. It is almost like angel hair. Yes, Sandy I was thinking of chicken and noodles, too. Motherinlaw always served hers over mashed potatoes but we could cauliflower.

Nighttime hugs all around!!!!

Now I want chicken and noodles over mashed potatoes and grandchildren and house guests in RV's . . . . I don't want Debby's high winds though!

And I'd love summer, if anyone has any left over!!

Ugh, I hate ice!!! Be careful!!

Oh yes, chicken and noodles over mashed potatoes, the ultimate comfort food! But it would be wonderful over mashed cauliflower as well. Did your tiny strands of pasta hold up well during cooking?

Under $30 at amazon. I wanted the meat grinder anyway, so I'm excited about this new pasta business.
Thanks to you adventurous friends!

Morning, quick note!

Just got over a stomach bug, I think it is one of my meds, supposed to take with food and I really didn't eat.

The mittens story so cute!

Going to ask DSIL if she wants to see Mr Banks today. I don't think they ever go to movies

Gotta run, bbl

The time or two we go or I go - we really enjoy it.
Hope your DSIL decided to go, Buffy.

Me and my DH used to go to the movies all the time too, and now we rarely go. I think one of the reasons we don't go anymore is because they come to video so quickly and so much cheaper and when you go pay 8-10 bucks to see a movie and it stinks you wish you'd waited for it to come to Redbox and save a bunch of $$. And it seems like the last couple of years there have been fewer and fewer good movies to go see. That's our excuse anyway, lol.

No kidding..It is SOOO expensive, even for our dinky little town. $8 a piece at the matinee, not counting the $6.50 popcorn....I do need to check out Redbox more..
I do the Netflix..

I think the movies have stunk, too.

Having said that, I want to see August in Osage County, Frozen (is that the name?) and a few others whose names escape me.
As usual, I probably won't get around to it and BAM they'll be available on tv.

Had another good day with DSIL. We didn't make the movie, did a little shopping so I am thinking movie tomorrow afternoon. Tonight BIL told DH they would be here until Sunday. After movie tomorrow, I am out of ideas for DSIL and I. Hmmm, thinking, thinking lol.

Osage was very good I thought. And yes, movies too expensive.

DSIL bought some Shoes today at Belk that were an even better sale than we realized, so, now we must go back tomorrow to get me some

Oops... sounds like our storm has come down your way Sandy.

Buffy that sounds like you're all having a good time. Nice short-sweet visit.

I think the last movie I saw in a theater was "Green Mile"
The sound was extremely painful to my sensitive ears. And yes, the price certainly puts one off... My mom was a real movie-buff. She LOVED going to the movies & was able to find the best deals, so she always went to matinee's.

DH is on his way home.

It was rainy and melting today, so the low temps will mean ice tomorrow.
Ick.

I've seen both of those.
Liked them!!

I used to love the popcorn at the movies - my treat to myself!
Now that I can't eat it, it's not worth the $$ for the movie!
