Yes, Wildwood does teach you how to knit..it is right downtown on the north side of the street.. Pretty yarn, kinda pricey, but good quality..After you learn from them, then
go to WalMart..LOL..

We got a new furnace a few years back..Big mistake when we bought a heat pump..The heat is a cold heat and really only good for southern climates where it barely gets cold at all. It is energy efficient, I guess, but we are chilly all the time, even when it is set on 70 degrees..

Judy..I know..My time is not my own with that conference..We drive down together and
then do things together..I don't have my own car there..

Oh..PostRock is the name of our gas peeps..

It was FOGGY out there, even now it was foggy..We had a nice crowd of 32 ladies show up and the speaker spoke on Forgiveness..She was great..

I am making that raspberrry cranberry cheesecakey thing that Buttoni posted on the Recipe Board..Let you know how it is..

Yes it is, thanks to all the antibiotics fed to our meat.

When I posted on facebook about Beth Moore's free books, there were 16 that were free. I say get any that sound good and then as you read them you'll know what appeals to you. I think all of her books are pretty good, from what I hear.

Not only the antibiotics fed to our meat but the amount we as a nation "overuse". It's getting really scary!

The ones that sound really good (to me) aren't free!
Yes, there's that too... overuse of antibiotics.

Morning!

Another rainy day in Texas, even chance of severe storms, you know, the moist warm air bumping into the cool dry air. Why can't we all just get along!

Have spent this week getting things put away that have been cluttering up since toffee time started. Washed every throw rug in the house, cleaned out a closet, good week. Still haven't heard from BIL as to when they will arrive but getting prepared.

Got new sheets and a plain old bedspread. I am just plain tired of wrestling with the big fancy comforter and layers of pretty but useless pillows. I just want to get up, make the bed the quicksand easy way and be done with it! The older I get, the less fuss I want, bring on simple and easy! Will try to find a younger person who would like the comforter and piles of pillows!

Hi ladies.

Went to the WL doctor and gained a couple of pounds. Of course it was after lunch and with heavier clothes on. No biggie. My scale was 143 this morning and I was 147 at the doctors.

Dh makes our bed!!! I get up first and he gets up later on and makes the bed..We don't have lots of pillows.

Hi Girls,
Good for you Buffy, I'd be doing that too... KISS theory all the way!

Sorry you got sick Cindy. At least you both got it together & won't be passing it back & forth. Our pastors always seem to be sick. So I'm exposed constantly... have to keep taking lots of vit. D3 & anti-oxidants.

So Carolyn, did the WL Dr give you any 'advice' ?

I did a big veggie cook-ahead & also did a pot roast. Nobody here to complain about the smell. (DH elk-hunting).

We take 6000 IU of Vit D a day which I think is why I did so well for so long. But like the Mayans coming in contact with the Europeans.....

Hi

The WLoss lady said protein and veggies/salad to get back on track. I told her about my Saltine bing during my tummy flu. She said to do sf applesauce and rice. She said that rice will take away some of the virus stuff. I never knew that.

Osage County was filmed south of me and north of Judy.

That raspberry/cranberry dessert was wonderful!!!

That's good. How's it going?

Sure is quiet today here today.

I had a nurse visit this morning, having to change insurance companies. My biggest worry -- going without my 1st coffee till after the blood test! But I survived.

I worked on books, & now feeling like I've had 'too much' alone time! Better pray that dh & friend get their limit today!

Debby I think you should come here and work on my books.
Thanks in advance!

Carolyn it was a beautiful day here today, wasn't it?
DANG! I'M excited for Brett's new job for SURE now.
Good travel for him, I hope!

I spent it with my SS and mother and my SS's family for dear niece's 28th birthday. Then with DD and baby Maddox. Now I'm going to make George Stella's meat lasagna. We need food on-hand for working me and DH.
And I'm pretty sure DH is not going to bag any elk....

Funny Judy!

I just talked with my older sister. She's getting a hysterectomy on Monday. They're using a DaVinci Surgical robot on her, but said it will still take 4-6 wks. to recover. Poor her. I'll be keeping her in my prayers.

Good for your ds Carolyn!

OH my! I'm sorry to hear that.
I am so old-fashioned.
Those robots probably are more predictable and perfect than a person, but... I am worried. Is your sister in the states?
I will definitely keep her in my prayers.

Yes, she's in WA state. I told her I just stay away from Dr's...
She's always getting check-ups, tests surgeries & surgeries. I feel the same, a robot? Really!??

I think there's some real wisdom to staying away from the doctors!

Unless it is a low carb doctor. I admit I am a little envious of that, Carolyn.

Hi gals!!!

I had a hysterectomy with the four little holes. It just takes a month to feel normal again. Of course having a big incision would make it even worse.

Judy: how about meeting me for breakfast on the 29th? It would have to be early.

Going back to bed. Oh huh another DA day!!!

Hi!

Dh and DS21 are in the road to Chicago! I'm sad. DS has been SUCH a big help while he's been here. He's probably ready to start school and relax!
