I think you will be fine cooking it in the sauce. Just not for very long?

For some reason tinypic does not like me.
I upload pictures directly from my computer and it shows in my post as an attachment you can then click on, I think.

They're very busy adding more water to the dough on the other thread. My dough seemed perfect. Did you use the original recipe, Carolyn?

Nice to hear from you Buffy!

MK I am so sorry you got a bug. I hope someone can make a nice soup for you.

Sandy your pasta looked fantastic. How did you get the picture so big? I actually like those size pictures.

Debby how you are all doing up there?

Hi,
Busy week...again. We have a special speaker this week & lots of meetings. Also my dd (who just told us she's pregnant) has been bleeding, was suspecting a miscarriage. So far the tests are coming out positive for being pregnant, but bleeding comes & goes. Praying for her. She has to rest.
Got a good report today on our life insurance medicals... I'm a 1 & dh is a 2, just like last time we did this... 10 yrs. ago. dh is actually in way better shape then me, but his bad cholesterol is a little elevated (Dr. says the good cholesterol is way up, so he's fine). But he loses a point... funny that my thyroid condition was of no concern. Oh well, nice to get such a good report. Insurance guy said the average is a 3 & that's acceptable, so he's impressed. Hey, & I'm impressed, all this high-fat-high-protein WOE certainly has not hurt my cholesterol.

I will keep your DD in my prayers.

Hey! Thanks for being a guinea pig on this way of eating! My blood numbers are perfect, too! Does your DH eat this way, or kinda?

Question for those of us with crock pots. My dear old crock pot is the old Rival with an actual crock in it and a heating element that is either low or high - nothing in between.
I have used it forever and loved it because I'd heard the low setting on the newer models wasn't low enough.

It's too small to put a bird in there for bone broth, though. I'm kind of looking at a bigger crock pot (DH will throw his hands in the air and say he's going to have to build a new wing on the house to keep all the low carb and new cooking things ).
HOWEVER I have made broth many times in my big stew pot placed in the oven for hours. So I may not actually need it...

I'm thinking of a 6-quart - what size do you all have?

Hi ladies

Judy, last night I wanted a smaller batch so I put in. 4 tbs of gluc/oat fiber, no baking powder, one egg/oil, salt, 1 tsp if coconut flour, and 1 cup of water, which was basically the same proportions as the original and it came out great.

Oh, Debby. Hoping and praying for your dd. it is such a scary time. So glad you guys are healthy!!!

Off to exercise/reading

Judy, part of Gary's dowry was the Rival crockpot. You could always cut up the chicken and it might fit in better. I got one that lifts out and I do like it for bigger things. However the lid is plastic and it cracked. lol. Crockpots are big.

Judy, sadly my dh does not do diets. He's just starting to listen about GMO. He's always been thin & fit, and he's always eaten lots of butter. I haven't deep-fried anything for almost 40 yrs. but other than that, he eats a typical Canadian diet.
Thanks Carolyn...

Carolyn, I do think the hot sauce will cook your noodles enough and get them heated up to eating temperature. I'm just so impressed with this pasta!!

Judy, that picture was straight from tinypic. Are you copying the correct link? The smaller pic I posted on this thread was from picasa I think. I've been experimenting. I'm sure somebody, maybe MK?, gave somebody instructions to post pics that was super simple but now I can't remember. It seems like it skipped a lot of the steps that tinypic and picasa make you do, but who knows, I could've dreamed it, lol.

Debby, prayers for your DD. And good for you and your DH with your good numbers!!

MK & Buffy, I hope you're both feeling better today, or at least not any worse.

That's funny. Every time Carolyn has mentioned tinypic I've gone there and been redirected to a photo site I'd already joined, but it kept fighting me for uploading, etc. I think my patience was short for that kind of stuff when I can upload straight from my computer.

Today I went to tinypic and had to create an account (where I thought I already had one!). So I created and uploaded a couple of pictures - success at uploading anyway.

Thanks!

Here are instructions from uploading directly from your computer from (I think) Esther (Rosethorns):

Hit reply. (ADVANCED, not quick reply)
when you get to the page look up , just below the title line
see a smiley face , next to it is a paper clip.
Click on the paper clip , then a management page will come up. Click on browse go to your file of pictures then click on the one you want and click open, you will have it then.

You can do up to 3 pics. Now click on upload and this can take a couple of minutes. Now go to the paper clip again and click , you can do 1 at a time or insert all..

Hi!

Yep - that's how you upload directly from your computer!

I feel better. Not good enough to go to weight lifting this morning - but good enough for yoga this afternoon!

Debby - prayers for your DD!!

Hi ladies..

Hopefully, no one is under ice, just wind. My friends just moved to Lee's Summit and
their trash was flying all over the neighborhood, so she was chasing her boxes down. Good way to meet the neighbors..

MK: Glad you are better and yoga sounds better than weightlifting to me..

My LC friend loved the pasta I gave her.

Thanks, Judy for helping me understand the other way to upload pics.

OH...New name for February????

You guys are nice.. Svelte will encourage our Svelte Sandy.. Vacations are hard, but I do think you should enjoy the local food.. That is most of the fun..LOL.

No rain yet..It looks like us Midwesterners are getting a storm on Tuesday.

I did order a Norpro yesterday. My spaghetti wasn't thin enough with the Pasta Pronto, although it did make an excellent product..

I made Chicken Lady's carrot cake last night. I had to leave out the nuts because a lady in our group has diverticulitis...Not fun at all.

Chicken Lady's carrot cake is indistinguishable from a high carb cake, in my opinion.
I am hoping to make her chocolate fudge cake or whatever it's called, for Valentine's Day. I've never tried it but seen the rave reviews.

I like Svelte Sweethearts challenge, too! Gives me something to aspire to. LOL
Right after I polish off that chocolate fudge cake!

Gotta run off to work - have a great day all!

I've always wanted to be a svelte lady .

Sorry I've been so slack with posting. It's hard dealing with arthritis pain. I've been here lurking tho and just want to say best wishes to MK as I know this trial is a hard one. Please know that prayers are going up for your family.

I'll see you on the new thread.
