Starting us off...See you in the a.m..

Praying for Phil and his cancer bladder testing..

CarolynF 12-01-2013 07:00 AM

Hi ladies..

Yes, we are all Divas, for sure..

Well, this Diva stayed the same weight, 144, which she is thankful for after some indiscretions this past week.

Blood work tomorrow, which I have to pay for myself because of the cheaper insurance I have..I am trying a new lab, which is supposedly cheaper than our hospital..Oh well..

Yes, Phil will be on our minds and in our prayers as well as our sweet Mary Kay.

Wow..did anyone see the Alabama/Auburn game..Or at least the end over and over again..Wowza..My ds wrote on his FB "LOL Tide"..And Missouri fans should be proud
of their team..(even though they left us Big 12ers)..

DebbyL 12-01-2013 07:16 AM

:aprayer: Praying for MaryKay & DH.

sjl330 12-01-2013 07:21 AM

Thanks for starting us up Carolyn. Love the name!!

I was down .2 for the month's average and I'm fine with that.

Did you try using healthcheckusa? You order your test, print out your order and find a lab near you on their web site and then go and they send you the results. Extremely reasonable!!! Thanks to Cindy for that wonderful tip!

MK, sending prayers for Phil. I'm so glad you had a good time in KC. It was a perfect weekend weather-wise, that's for sure!

After church this a.m. I think we're going to take Bailey out to the park to run and play. She's been cooped up a lot this weekend and I"m sure she'd love the activity. And of course, we'll be watching the Chiefs game.

CarolynF 12-01-2013 07:34 AM

Good for you, Sandy. Holding our own during December will be miracle.

The closest lab is in Tulsa so I'll just go locally. I have used the one in Wichita before for thyroid. This is my yearly hormone/lipid/thyroid panel and next year I will be on Medicare when it is time. Lol. Whoopee. :)

Buffy45 12-01-2013 09:35 AM

Morning December Divas.

Had a very nice Thanksgiving.

MK, please keep us updated and know that lots of prayers are coming Phil's way.

Our little cold spell is gone, darn, I love the cold this tine of year.

Judy, those babies will be so fun to watch, they will be buddies for sure.

Made lots of toffee yesterday, today will package it.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone!

Shalbrihil 12-01-2013 10:24 AM

Here we go Diva's another month. Boy does time fly around here.

MK like us all I'm being positive about Phil's testing. I wish him well.

Here is my start off weight for December: 277 Down 7 pounds from last month.

TuscanGirl 12-01-2013 10:57 AM

Definitely a good weekend in KC. Great Zona Rosa shopping on Friday!!

Thanks for all the prayers and good wishes! I'm hoping for a Christmas Miracle!

I gained a pound over the weekend - so starting at 110.4. :(

I'll have to work to get it back down this week.
But i was at 124 last year, so I should quit whining, right!

JMCM1 12-01-2013 01:14 PM

Hello! :hiya:
Wowee, Sharon - what a great loss for November!
I have no idea what I weigh but will creep on the scales soon.

We had Florida family (my first cousin & her family) in for Thanksgiving and had a great time playing games at my mom's last night until way too late. Mother and I slept in and she chose again not to go to Sunday School. She will soon enough, but I know when she does she'll be glad she did.

She's so much more like her old self. She talks more, smiles more. She's really coming back.

Buffy that toffee was easier for me to resist last year than this year.... :)

Carolyn you have a busy week ahead! Hope all goes well.

MK - prayers for your Christmas miracle.

Sandy enjoy that game today!

Debby are you still on our side of the border? Hop you all are doing all right.

Happy December to all of you/us.

CarolynF 12-01-2013 01:46 PM

Hi ladies..

Sharon: Wowza on the 7 pounds...That is wonderful..

MKay: One pound on you looks good..:)

Buffy: Don't worry..I think our cold spell will return on Wednesday..Yummmy toffee..

I'm sure Judy's mom is enjoying herself with company, etc..and skipping Sunday School..LOLOL..

Ekk..our sermon was about the fruit of the Spirit and self-control is my problem when
I go out to the Mexican restaurant..Too many chips..No dinner tonight, though.

DebbyL 12-01-2013 08:00 PM

Hi there,
Sorry I've been kinda sparse... we're still traveling. Used up most of the day shopping in Prince George (closest big city to our town)... so we only traveled an hour closer today. (3 more to go, if the roads are good). Good thing though, as I just found out from our neighbor that we had freezing rain at home today... that is nasty stuff!
We were able to get my new cross country stuff :jumpjoy: So, I'm all outfitted & ready to go again. ;)
Looked at furniture & DH did some more sports-shopping... :p
Half the time it takes is "learning" about the stuff we're looking for. So important to talk to a real person.

CarolynF 12-01-2013 09:12 PM

Be careful, Debby..Hope things have melted a bit by the time you get home..

CindyCRNA 12-02-2013 12:23 PM

I am claiming this morning's weight but will be 5 pounds heavier tomorrow, I'm sure!!!

CarolynF 12-02-2013 12:35 PM

Yeah, Cindy....:)

TuscanGirl 12-02-2013 07:16 PM

I've lost 15lbs this year! But it was all from July until now.
I gained a pound over the weekend, but hoping it'll be gone by tomorrow!

DH had a blood test and something else today - urine sample, maybe.
Tomorrow is a PET scan and a chest xray.

I wish the doc was in town this week.
I'd like to get this started!

JMCM1 12-02-2013 08:32 PM

Oh.... I guess it is getting started - all the tests.
Glad he's having all the preliminary stuff to see what they're dealing with.

I am amazed at your losing 15 lbs, MK. But you sure found what works for your body, didn't you? And you are so active. Heck Merlin probably takes credit for 10 of those pounds!

Shalbrihil 12-03-2013 09:42 AM

I wish your Dh well as he starts his tests. I know this must be a stressful time.

CindyCRNA 12-03-2013 03:28 PM

I'm so sorry your going thru this, MK.

Buffy45 12-04-2013 01:38 PM

Quick hello and congrats to all of you for losing and or maintaining weight, constant struggle for sure. I haven't weighed for a while, clothes fit the same.

Traveled the last 2 days so just taking it easy today. Have a busy 2 weeks coming up with some company, some travel and toffee. 2 grandsons have Dec. birthdays so need to shop for that plus the Christmas shopping which has been cut way back in our family, makes for a more relaxed and enjoyable holiday.

Some more wintry weather coming our way soon, will be glad to see the cold, really don't care for this warmth we are having in December!

CarolynF 12-04-2013 08:05 PM

Hi gals..

Finally got back from OKCity..Dh did okay..He is recovering..and we need to go again
on the 18th for the other eye..

Ds is moving on Saturday to Tulsa..Snow is predicted for Thurs/Friday down there in JudyLand, so hopefully it will be clear on Saturday..He got an apartment on the 3rd floor..His dad can't lift anything more than 10 pounds, so he has a buddy that will help him and his old mom..:) who is a tiny bit strong.

MK: 15 pounds!!!!! Hoping that Phil's diagnosis is quick and accurate once the test
results come in.

Brrr..is right..Have a Christmas Brunch in the a.m...I'll try to be good.

You're probably right!

CarolynF 12-04-2013 09:20 PM

Yes, I agree with Judy..You need to ship him to your "friends" here and have him take us for a walk or run each day, MK..

TuscanGirl 12-04-2013 09:24 PM

I'd be happy to - especially since the cold is starting tomorrow!

JMCM1 12-04-2013 10:06 PM

Oh.... moving in freezing cold... brrrrr!!
Willing to make awesome quiche if necessary!!

Merlin the skinny-maker

Sharon, my turkey bone broth gelled and is freezing right now.
Thanks! :)

sjl330 12-05-2013 06:07 AM

Turkey broth! Thanks for the reminder. I just might make my broth today since it's so bitter cold. I woke up to a little bit of snow this a.m. Not even an inch but it's still cold and I really want to just stay in today. We'll see how that goes.

CarolynF 12-05-2013 07:03 AM

Turkey broth...:) I need to drag my carcass out of the freezer..LOL..No, really..Ds is giving me a turkey from his freezer so he won't have to move it..Then we have a smoked turkey in there, too..And 25 more pounds of almond flour (sale at Honeyville this week) coming..Akk..

I am afraid to weigh, but will get plenty of exercise helping ds move, so I will work off
those extra calories..

My friend is making a pepperoni quiche this morning..:)

DebbyL 12-05-2013 07:54 AM

Yep, that cold front is moving around... its up to 3 F this morning... but it will go back under zero later this week.
Stay warm! :hugs:

TuscanGirl 12-05-2013 08:02 AM

It's 28 here but says it feels like 16!
A friend in So Cal has 36 this morning!!

sjl330 12-05-2013 09:08 AM

Southern California!!!!???? Yikes!!! I bet those poor people are in shock! Brrrrrr!!

Shalbrihil 12-05-2013 11:02 AM

I suppose shock is the right word for it Sandy. We are getting our cold front finally now. I put a cover on my barrel planter to keep it from getting too cold.

Judy great to have your broth in the freezer waiting. Gel is so good for joint and gut health. I've ordered some so I can add it to my smoothies. I'm thinking my knee will benefit.

Lots of busy happenings going on around here. Family members moving and dear husbands starting treatments. Best wishes to all recovering from there surgeries and safe travels in bad weather to the loved ones moving.

Well my eggs and bacon with creamed coffee has done it's job at filling me up. Better start my day. Hugs to you all.
