Brrr..is right..

Had fun shopping with my little Scarlet. She gave me a some lovely rosary beads for Christmas from her savings..She is just a doll..

Well, Alex didn't pop up on his blood sugars after that one shot this morning..Will wait and test later on. Of course, that is after buying $70 worth of insulin this a.m.LOL.

Yes, when is summer? Brrr..I am loving scarves..MK, are you knitting any? My magic combo is size 19 knitting needles and bulky yarn and casting on 12 stitches..So easy, pretty and fun.

Threw away the bread..I should have mailed it to MKay..

yes you should have - DH keeps buying bread with milk in it!

DS24 is so upset - he didn't get the job in NOLA and he was REALLY certain he had it.
Now he's not sure what to do . . . . .

Oh, MKay..Rats that he didn't get the job..But it sometimes takes such a long time for that perfect job..Brett had a good recruiter when he got his last job..That made a huge difference. Is your ds registered with a recruiter down there?

Hmmm..I wonder what bread doesn't have milk in it? Dh's need very specific lists sometimes..

Carolyn - no idea - I'll ask him.
That's a good idea!!!

Most deli breads don't have milk - a lot of commercially packaged breads do . . .

Good morning..

Dying my hair!! Dh left for his last visit to OKCity. I told him to watch out for deer.

Last day of 2013..It is hard to believe.. Anyone have any fun New Year's Eve plans?
We are staying home..I told dh to pick up an order from Olive Garden for dinner..

Think I'll undecorate the tree..It is a real one, so it needs to go into the pond for the little fishes to swim around.

Check in later..Jump on the Wagon Challenge for January..Here we come!!

No NYE plans here. We may go out to eat if DH feels like it. He's been feeling like he's coming down with something so we'll see. If we don't go out, I might make tacos or maybe just order a Papa Murphy's delite crust pizza. Sure not like the old days. We used to go to a dance every year. You don't hear about those kinds of events so much anymore. We sure did have fun but NYDay was not always so much fun after those big parties, lol.

MK, that's too bad about your son's job. I hope the job he finally gets is perfect and that he'll realize then that the NOLA job just wasn't meant to be. The recruiter idea is good. What does he do? Is this the one who's engaged?

I took my piddly little tree down yesterday. It took all of 5 minutes, lol. Perfect!

Yes, I remember always going "out" as a single person on NYEve..or going to a party.
Most of the peeps I know are staying home.

I need to weed out some of the decorations that I don't use anymore. I'll put on a Netflix movie/episode and it makes taking down the tree more fun.

MKay: Because job hunting is near and dear to our family lately, I would tell ds when he wouldn't hear or not get a job that you don't want to work for
a company who doesn't think you are a fit. Sounds dumb, but makes sense. Will add your ds to my prayer list, too..

MK I'll keep your DS on my list of people, too. I like Carolyn's sentiment - it does make sense.

Today is my cheat day. Breakfast was 2 eggs & bacon. And potato chips. and a croissant. LOL
Popcorn might fill up the rest of my day. HA

I was putting lots of decorations on our dining room table when DH let me know how Atlanta brother & sil are stopping by tomorrow evening to see the babies.
EEEEK

Walking Dead Marathon. Anything I missed before I get to see this time around. I guess that'll help propel me to put things away before company tomorrow. Wish I hadn't thrown out the brownies from previous company.

POPCORN!!

Yes, there is always popcorn!!! Some friends of ours were visiting Ireland (distant relatives), so they brought unpopped popcorn as a gift for the family. Well, dinner was served and the lady of the house had made the popcorn, put it in a soup tureen and was serving with a large silver spoon as a "side dish" with the roast!

Dh is on his way home from his adventure..Guess what? He has to go back in March
or April for another checkup for a possible cleansing of the new lenses..This is a big
procedure for sure.
