Here is a very good LC peanut butter cookie if anyone is interested..

http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/lo...r-cookies.html But for Judy, can you just add almond flour to Mary Kay's recipe? I think peeps have
done that and it does firm those up.

Jody: You are right, as long as you are losing, then go for it.

I need to nudge Buffy..I hope she is okay..

Goodness gracious happy Sunday morning! It is happy because the first thing I did was make those cookies. The only thing I added was a couple of tablespoons (eyeballed) of Ouizoid's Better Than Flour, because my mom had some made up from a few months ago.
I thought it couldn't hurt.

WOW those are good cookies!!!! I used 1/2 cup Swerve and about 10-12 drops EZ Sweetz.
Thanks!

Now will check out the link - thank you so much Carolyn!
My mom, SS and I are peanut butter lovers from way back. This might not be the most nutritious breakfast, but it is sure making her want to eat. (win!)

Carolyn, that cookie by Gina is the one I printed, then didn't make because I think the ONLY low carb flour I don't own is peanut flour.
I suppose someday I'll get some, but I don't have it in town, and for some reason I just have enough low carb cooking items.

For now....

She's a good cook and I mostly like her recipes. So I'll keep this and someday when I make my next netrition order, it will include peanut flour!

But that simple recipe is going to keep us all happy for quite awhile - thanks!

Now going to make a double batch of those cheese rounds in my muffin top pan. My mother loves pizza and this will hopefully work for her and the rest of us. It's a great personal pizza crust!

Hi gang

Glad those cookies worked out. If you didn't use some sort of floury substance they are crumbly.

Does anyone watch The Paradise on PBS?? I like it.

Hi ladies..

Gary did fine with his colonoscopy this morning..Surgeon is very handsome..not that that matters, but he is capable and took a tiny benign polyp off..

We have a 90 year old lady in our Bible Study who is in good health, but is very anxious to be with the Lord..I think God gives us the grace to look forward to that when the time
is ready..

Not much going on..Dh and I are going to an Affordable Health Care program being put on by Blue Cross Blue Shield tonight. I "know" a bit about it, but will be interested in
seeing what they have to say.

Akkkkk. Have a wonderful time!!! This is a good time to go... Not so busy tourist wise. Can't wait to hear all about it!!!

Went to an insurance information night. It was informative. If peeps don 't
Sign up for healthcare by March 15th they can't sign up for the rest of the year unless they have a life changing event !!

Thanks Sharon
MaryKay that does happen for sure. Just hard for us to accept so quickly...
Wow MaryKay - Rome! How exotic & exciting! Enjoy!!

Well, below is our view this morning... looking out on the hoary frost at 15 degrees F. Brrr...

Then by noon we had our first snow & it was so fun to watch Molly experience her first snow! She looked up at it coming down with such a puzzled look on her little face... later she got to taste it & approved! Then driving into town, she was totally fascinated & excited by the snow shooting straight at us... mesmerizing! An finally, running in the snow... ah the life of new discoveries!
Will probably be posting 'white' pictures next.
Hope you're all doing well!

Carolyn - so glad Gary came through all right and they got that polyp!
Even though benign... don't we always think, "for NOW?"

MK I miss you already!!!! Bon voyage!! Have you been to Rome before?

Debby that is a beautiful picture and I absolutely love thinking of Molly in her first snow! I remember our brat pug thinking it was the best thing ever.

Have a wonderful time MK, and OF COURSE we'll miss you!!!

Carolyn, so if they don't sign up by March 15 they have no insurance the rest of the year? I don't see much change then in how it is now. We've always had uninsured people and I believe we still will. And the insured will still be paying for the uninsured in some way, shape or form. Ugh!

Judy, how's mom doing now? I'm so happy she's been improving steadily.

Debby, beautiful pics!! Bailey loves the snow. She loves to go out and just lay down on the piles of snow after DH has shoveled and she loves running through the snow throwing it up in the air with her nose.
She got her teeth cleaned yesterday and had a bit of a cardiac issue with the anesthetic. The vet said she was fine, but it sure took a lot out of her. Hopefully today she'll be totally back to her normal, spunky self. She's getting older; she'll be 10 in Feb.

Chimney guy coming this a.m. We need one of our chimney's capped. Hopefully it will keep the critters out! Rainy day here. I always just want to be lazy on rainy days.

Sandy - you sound well! Did that virus pass through quickly? I hope so.

Brat pug had her teeth cleaned last at age 6 and did well, but pugs are (obviously) a short-nosed breed and I always worry about an aging pug and anesthesia. They shame you if you don't get their teeth cleaned, give them hair extensions, paint their nails and give them braces...
But I do think having their teeth cleaned is good - it's still a risk worth weighing, though.

Rainy day here, too. Love it.

Carolyn enjoy your "cheat". I made some drop pumpkin scones (author's name escapes me) that were so-so. I bet I make them again, but will double the spices for sure.

I really really really like pumpkin pancakes (coconut flour), but you sure can't serve those at a tea!

My mom is doing so so so well. Just gathering strength - no other issues.
And since SS and I trade days/nights, she can now raise herself from any chair/toilet/sofa without help - all in the difference of day before yesterday!

We are insisting she use a walker until she gets her strength and balance again. We can see very shortly being able to leave her for bits of time if she can get up and use a phone, etc. We'll probably still get a life alert thing before we actually leave her.

Her spirits are good in the morning, then she's bored stiff by the afternoon. More outings!

Hey, a big shout out to my dear friends here. Sorry you had to chase me down on FB.

My only excuse for not posting lately is not a very good one I'm afraid. My sister got me started on Sugar Crush. Do not tell your OCD friends to play that , I can't put it down!

Hugs all around, now, I need to go back and catch up!

Buffy!! LOL! I know about fb games... they can be addicting for sure! Looking forward to hearing how you are.

MK yes, Molly comes right back to the door in the morning, likes to sit next to my little oil heater & me after her morning outing... Afternoons aren't as cold & she plays out there for quit a while (especially now, since she's got her moose-treasures buried all over).

Sandy that sounds too scarey... cure is worse than the problem! They can't clean teeth without knocking them out? Does she try to catch the snow when dh shovels too? Shelby did that...

Yeah Judy! So happy to hear such a big progression for your sweet mom! Soon she'll be out & about!

My MIL is still doing quite well, but has lost her appetite. I am hoping its just the anti-biotic she's taking... everything tastes metallic to her.

Have a great day!

Antibiotics do that to me - make everything taste metallic. Yes, prayers for your MIL and all of you watching over her.

Buffy!!!!! Didn't you know Carolyn and I are addicted to candy crush as well?
And as soon as my mother went in hospital I introduced it to my skinny sister and my cute cute niece who are so irritated with me!

And Carolyn who started you? Wasn't it MK?

Getting caught up on everyone's news. Love reading about your dogs and their fun in the snow, such great little companions. I am starting volunteering at a vet clinic/cat adoption place tomorrow. DH states very loudly that I am not to bring any home. The older I get, the more I love pets, they are so like little kids.

Glad to hear about the ones Whois are getting their health back.

I continue to do much better on the latest cocktail of BP meds, still something not quite like I was before the ordeal but so much better than I was for several months.

MK, I dream of going to Rome, have a wonderful time. One of my DDs has been twice, loved it.

Judy, how are those new grand babies? I love to hold and rock babies, hmmm, another volunteer idea.

All my little and big grandkids are fine. Very busy with school, etc and now the holidays are rushing towards us.

Debby, will certainly enjoy snow and winter through your camera lens

Chilly and rainy here in Dallas but I think it will clear out in a couple of days.

My DD lent me her personal assistant for the morning, she helped me get my wireless printer to recognize my iPhone and iPad and now I can print from them as well as computer! also helped me get the app Dashlane to sync between my 3 devices. All that in 2 1/2 hours, would have taken me two days! all these electronics are awesome once you get everything on them and working right. Love my iPhone and all it does and stores.

Emptied out fridge today, now it needs a good cleaning

Hi ladies..

I do think you are right, Sandy..There will be peeps who won't sign up ever
until the penalty goes high (in 3 years)..Next year there will be a smaller
window to sign up for new peeps, like October to Dec. 7th..After that, you can't buy insurance unless you have a major life change..Strange, huh?

My friend Cindy from here got me hooked on CCS..I am really bad and stuck
at Level 52 with those chocolate things at the bottom. I will have to go to the coffee shop and have one of the kids get me off that level..LOL.

Buffy...We are so glad you are back..We were worried that you might have run away with your handsome doctor friend.

Judy: Yes, insist on a walker...Your mom doesn't need any broken bones right now..Glad she is doing well.

Debby: On Fox this morning they had the smartest dog in the world..She or he knows 1000 words..Chaser was her/his name....Chaser is a border collie...Maybe you can teach her some words..LOL.. She has a Facebook Page where the video is on..Very smart doggie..

So good to hear the news Buffy!

Thanks Carolyn, I'll have to look Chaser up next time I'm at a motel with free wi-fi... I can't afford to watch video clips on my internet. Last time I was out I watched the video's of Nana the border collie... very entertaining I've been thinking to teach Molly to say words... she talks all the time & it does sound like she could form words with it some day... also understands words... Funny.
