UK Low Carbers- coffee

Has anyone in the UK managed to find a coffee chain that will serve you double cream instead of milk? I live in Oxford and have tried SO many places. Today after visiting 5 coffee shops and all of them saying they don't do cream, I actually asked the lady in Cafe Nero if she knows if anywhere would give cream and she replied with "I think cream has gone out of fashion really due to the high fat content." *bangs head against wall.* I've seen a lot of people in the US say that Starbucks will give double cream instead of milk but maybe the lady was right..perhaps over here it's completely unavailable!

Costa coffee yesterday gave me cream. I think there is variation among
individual outlets. I don't usually like Costa but the coffee with cream was great!

I haven't asked anywhere, but I will. I love my coffee with double fresh cream from Sainsbury (0.8carbs per 100ml)

I'm not in the UK anymore (I wish there were coffee chains where I am!), however when I was there, Costa Coffee, Starbucks, and Cafe Nero would all do it, however it took a lot of explaining, insistence, and sometimes some mistakes on their part.

Eventually the coffee makers at the Costa Coffee near me got used to making a 'caffe latte with water instead of milk, adding some pouring cream, and sugar free syrup'. :)

If I don't feel like a straight espresso, I order one with whipped cream on top. The cream is just pressurised, not sweetened. This works in Nero, Costa and Starbucks, in my experience. Or is it just in London?
