Hi ladies..

Oh, Judy, if your mom feels like making coffee, it is a great sign!!!

Oh, Buffy..sorry about your dd's "boss".. It can make work unpleasant.

Ds has a phone interview next week and a face to face interview next week..Both of them in the Tulsa area..

Merlin can't be in Special Ed, MK..He is so cute...

Doing laundry, cooking dinner. Our town had a chili cookoff in the park. We both went, but I was too full from breakie to eat. Some were good, some were hot, dh said..

Yes, hoping everyone has a pleasant weekend..Wonder how KU did playing OU..yikes..

But enough about me.

Yay Buffy and Judy!!
Debby - maybe you should have named her Flash!
That's funny MK... my sister in law's rescue dog got held after class every time they attended class... the graduating class (after-class) session... the instructor YELLED at her dog! then graduated her... I was not impressed. Hope you have a good instructor. I'm thinking it would be good to take Molly (AKA Flash) to one of those too... just to learn how to act with other dogs. My neighbor's aggressive dogs are giving her the wrong idea about meeting new dogs.
That's so cool that you're still such great friends with your 6th gr. BFF. My BFF from 7th grade & I are like that too. So fun!
It was a good Sunday. Took the 2 of the kiddo's to church, brought them home for lunch & play. They enjoyed helping us cut up apples to dry in the food-dehydrator. Funny how much kids love to work! The simple things of life.

Hi!
Debby - next you can teach them how to make apple pie!

No - our teacher is better than that - she never yells at the dogs!
Merlin LOVES to play with other dogs and gets really confused if one of them growls.
He especially likes little dogs, which usually makes their owners nervous, but he never bites and has a really soft mouth. Must be the lab in him.

Flash would probably love playing with the other dogs!!!

2 beagles got in a fight during the last class and all the other dogs froze and watched.
It was just like being on a kid's playground . . . hey look, a fight!

That's funny! Yeah, Molly loves other dogs & playing with them. But now she kind of thinks that she needs to act tough, because of the neighbor dogs.
She's trying to figure out how to be with her favorite 'little people' too... she's not allowed to jump on them, so she follows them around, sits & looks up at them... DGD thought it was 'creepy' LOL... she thinks all dogs should just be stuffed animals. Lots of excitement for Molly anyway.

That is funny - that all dogs should be stuffed animals.
At least they'd be a known quantity!

MK I loved your dog class description!!

Our brat pug adores us but is protective of us. She's jealous of every other dog. She was born that way and will not be trained out of it, she's let us know.
Most pugs are patient and kind to a fault. They'll babysit your kids and make your apple pie while you're not looking.

Not ours.
Love her anyway...

Debby at least Molly loves other dogs - that is FUN. For both of you!
Tell Flash we all said, "good dog!"

Ah, pugs are so cute! Does she get over-heated when its hot outside? Looks like they're 'snorters'...

Yeah, my semi-autistic (not really-just very fussy) grand daughter is so picky about what touches her... & what she touches & what she eats... more often then not, she doesn't like something... She loves dogs, but doesn't want them to move!

I do expect a lot out of Molly... since I take her to work with me. She does do amazingly well... lays at my feet waging her tail when people come in... I give her treats & she stays put.

Hi ladies..

I, too, laughed at Dog School..Merlin might be looking for a tiny girlfriend, just like a man..

Molly could probably teach the Dog School Class..lOL..

Gone all day..Bible study in the a.m., working at the ticket place all afternoon and went to the Talent Show tonight.(for Queen Neelah).

Judy..Yes, if Brett ends up in Tulsa, we will have to have a meetup..

How are our "mothers" doing????

So happy to hear they're all doing well! Step by step!

Actually, Molly would probably try to herd all the dogs together first!
She broke her record today... 42 km's.(26 mi) pr hr. She's aggressively 'racing' me!

Primal is going well. Since I switched to almond milk from my creamer I'm probably getting my ratio's close to what you gals are doing... Its great!

Hope everyone is well.

Yep, but how are the "Mommy's" doing? Hope they're managing well. Its their first babies isn't it?

How long till your DM doesn't have any hoses?? That's going to make a difference.

Yes Carolyn, Molly certainly reminds me of a greyhound in the smooth line of her run... they'd leave her behind in the dust but she'd try to catch 'em! I just got back from work, took a neighbor's long driveway as a different run for her & then ran up the main road for a bit... just in time too, a truck was coming up behind her. She did fabulously. Also did well at work, 3 different people came in to chat with me & she stayed put (beat the rug with her tail the whole time, but stayed put)! We also saw a family of deer crossing the road (actually stopped for them) Molly was so excited she started whining... I just kept saying "nice deer." Oh, last night when I went into the "cat-room" to pet Kaboodle... Molly came in to catch a glimpse & Kaboodle came to the edge of the hot tub to peer down at her... unlike Shelby, Molly did not jump up, she stayed seated & politely wagged her tail... there's hope, that one day Kaboodle will allow a friendship there maybe.
Oh my, sorry, this is probably pretty boring... to most of you.
See you later!

Actually I love every animal story any of us tells! was wondering how Molly would act with your cat. Amazing how polite Molly is. Especially for her age!

The new moms are both over the moon.

Oh good! I'm so happy for them! Do they get together?

Good.... glad you enjoyed the dog stories... I do too~ Yeah, Kaboodle used to love dogs... slept with our older dogs, always followed 'em around... but since our last 2 dogs were pups, he hasn't let them get familiar yet. I do think Molly spends a lot of time sniffing out his hiding spots & probably watches him hiding under the shop...

How do you know winter is coming? Alex gets under the comforter in the guest room to sleep during the day..Anyone else's Dcat do that?

Brett has an interview in Tulsa tomorrow..Pray for safety for driving and a good interview, please.

I made some cinnamon roll biscottis today by Carolyn. I'm not totally happy with them,
but will eat them for breakie..

Ah! Yep, my Kaboodle does that too! We have a blanket on the hot-tub... he usually gets in between the layers. Oh my, that blanket gets SO hairy!
Last night when I was driving out the driveway, I saw a big black-furry cat... stopped & looked where he dashed & said 'hello kitty'... he stopped & looked at me... wonder who's cat it is?! That's pretty far for a cat to wander. Obviously Molly's not a huge threat!
for Bret!
Yum cinnamon! I'm on a cinnamon kick this last while... add it to my GY & also my protein powder-nut-seed mix...
Thanks for showing up!

I found some of the flavored emulsions today at Home Goods. I made us each a biscuit tonight with the BTF mix and used some butter flavor emulsion. They were pretty good! We had breakfast for dinner. DH thought he had a business dinner and at the last minute realized it was next Wednesday. So I improvised. The other flavor I got was lemon. I'll try a little lemon cake or muffin with that.

Prayers for Brett. Tulsa is closer to you than KC isn't it Carolyn?

I saw that biscotti recipe. I'm not too fond of biscotti but I checked out her cinnamon roll cake and that looked good. Have you made that one?

Molly sounds so cute. She and Bailey would be quite a pair. Bailey loves to run and is fast as lightning and she loves to try to herd you too. She really likes to herd the babies, lol. And when all the Eskies come over they herd each other. Now that's a funny sight to see!

I washed my deck floor down really good yesterday. If we have a few nice days in the forecast anytime soon I'm going to try to stain just the floor before winter hits and then try to do the rest in the spring. It might not happen though, but at least I made an effort.

I'm still chipping away little by little on my weight. I really do think I've gained some muscle now because this last 2-3 pounds just won't budge permanently. It's up and down, up and down. Ugh! I'm trying to just forget about it and keep doing what I'm doing.

Good for you Sandy! Have you taken your measurements? Probably smaller... could be you just need to add those 2 lbs to your goal if you've gained muscle... who cares about numbers if you're smaller!
Your crazy weather, you should get your window of opportunity to do that staining! That is if it doesn't get dirty from stuff blowing on it...
What breed is Bailey?

Crazy weather is right!! After all, it is Kansas. If you don't like the weather, stick around, it changes daily, lol.

Bailey is a miniature American Eskimo, formerly known as Spitz. She'll be 10 years old in February! That's so hard for me to believe. It's like a child-seems like only yesterday she was a baby and we were bringing her home to live with us. <<<<<< See new avi, that's my girl.

You're probably right about the weight. I'm not good at taking measurements regularly and for so long I wanted to be in the 140-145 window and was so happy when I achieved that and maintained it for so long. But I guess I might have to get used to being a couple pounds higher if I'm going to continue to workout. Or at least be satisfied with very slow, microscopic losses.

Good morning..

Tulsa is 90 minutes from us, so that would be nice..but it would be nicer to have both
kids in the same city..

Our big festival is in town..The main street is full of food wagons (think State Fair). There is a cinnamon roll wagon that has extremely long lines all the time..I can pass
that one up..This is proof that peeps love sugary carbs..LOL..

I'm sure you are getting some muscle, Sandy..Last night was nice, but I had my winter coat on downtown..The days are nice, but when the sun goes down, it gets cold.

Bailey is adorable. I think if we moved as much as Merlin, Bailey, and Molly, we would all be extremely fit..LOL..

Bailey would be dental floss for Molly! Beautiful pooch! Yes, its amazing how fast time goes by, isn't it?!

Yep Carolyn, I'd be emancipated! Running 3+ miles a day & playing like crazy in between... Same thing if I were to follow DH around for the day... no thanks!

Hi ladies..

Just listened to a Jimmy podcast about Intermittent Fasting. Not that I could do it again..However, the interviewee is an expert in this area and he said that he stops eating at 8 p.m and starts eating at noon..The last 4 hours are the fat burning hours. They asked him about morning coffee and he said as long as you keep your calories (cream) below 50, you would still be considered fasting..He also said that you need to
get a good amount of calories in those 8 hours, too..Any thoughts??? Anyone try it lately?

Anxious to hear how ds's interview went today..Hopefully he will call when he gets home.

Hi Carolyn,
I've been following IF for the last couple of months.
I stop eating at 6 pm, and start at 10 am (if I remember)!
What it has done for me, is I don't get the "munchies" from 3-6 anymore.
I feel full all the time! Well, except in the morning, a little, but you have that "fasting-feeling." So its easier to handle.
I have dropped some stubborn lbs. I'm also doing Primal and trying to 'up' my calories & metabolism. But overall I think IF is a great tool! I can thank Sandy for mentioning it here, that's when I started using it. Never heard of it before that.
Hope your ds interview went well.
