Huge thank you Judy!

Watched Life of Pi tonight, very good movie. Grant is reading the book so I wanted to be able to discuss it.

Hi ladies..and Jim wherever you are.

Oh, Sandy, how tragic for that whole family..Praying for God's comfort as they take one step at a time..

Lots of good Judy recipes..I do need to try that biscuit recipe as soon as I get some yoggie.. I can only get 2 percent Fage, but maybe that will work.

Yes, MK is doing so well on her "special plan"..How are you feeling? Hopefully you feel better..

We saw the Life of Pi..It was interesting..I loved the tiger and was glad he didn't eat the boy. I hear the book was better than the movie so I might have to do that sometime.

Dogs will eat anything..gross..Molly will get sick..Too many cow patties..

Made some chocolate chip bars yesterday..Easy and good..and no intestinal distress..Maybe they changed the recipe on the bagged SF chips..

Back to exercising today after having a week off..although Silver Dollar City has lots of hills and valleys. Good walking terrain..

Check in later.

Carolyn I bet that 2% would work fine. I assumed there were more carbs in that - but I did not check, and spread out over 12 little biscuits it might make very little difference in that way. Heck I bet you could use sour cream!

Thank you Judy for bringing us back to those wonderful recipes. They will be used in this house for sure.

Sandy how sad for you that your friends daughter is now gone. Prayers that family and friends will be comforted now in there grief.

Temps have been in the 90's here on the Central Coast of Ca. My fan has really been getting a work out. We waited until evening last night and walk to our Target close by for sugar for the hummingbirds and some yogurt for me. Dogs loved the outing. My legs sure felt it. I had Dh hold the bag on the way home as the weight of the sugar was a bit much for me to handle. I bought a leash that is for both dogs and that worked out really well. It has a swivel so they don't tangle up when the cross back and forth.

I've been waiting for Life of Pi to come out in video. The book was so good. Did you see it on HBO or something else. I'm waiting for Les Mis to come on HBO too

Well dogs will be dogs Debby. I'm not sure how to stop a dog of partaking. Maybe getting a c.patty and setting a mouse trap on it or by it so she gets a snapping sound when she gets her nose down there would do it while she's on the leash. We corrected one of our dogs one time from digging by doing that.

I better start my day before it's long gone. See you all later.

Morning

Full fat Fage is hard to find but I can usually find the Greek Gods brand of full fat and it is also cheaper some stores. I did find full fat Fage at Sprouts last week.

Feel free not to share what all dogs will eat

Recently bought 2new cat toys which the 4 resident cats found interesting for about 1/2 hour, however, Fluffy found a paper wrapped straw somehow and that entertained 3of them for several hours .

This will certainly seem like a short week. Usual things need to be done that I want to ignore but they aren't going away

Oldest DD turns 48 this month? How has that happened?

About ready to throw in the towel and go back on the BP meds Dr VH had me on. I asked him to change them as one was causing hot flashes, one was not generic. So he did, but, I am not feeling as good as I was, fatigue and weak feeling and BP control not as good. Will just have to pay for the non generic one and hope it goes generic soon. The hot flashes were annoying but not too bad, guess I can live with them.

Sharon, Life of Pi was on my HBO 2 last night. I can't wait to talk it over with DGS when he finishes the book. Miss him now that school has started and he is so busy.

I am so sorry.
I think it might be reasonable to request still different bp meds, isn't it?
I am not very informed of this, but it seems like there must be hundreds of different bp meds. Maybe Dr. Very Handsome, who has definitely been a good listener in the past, will reconsider and quickly.

You have been so full of pep and I hate for medications to drag you down.
Although necessary medications, I know!

Hi ladies.

Oh, Buffy..Love your Fluffy story..Alex loves rabbit's feet..It is a great toy and cheap, too.He thinks he "caught" an animal or something..Yes, you might have to go back on the expensive stuff..Will your Drug Plan pay for the "real" stuff?

The ladies went ga-ga over the Chocolate Chip Bars..and I only had 2 left.

Sharon: You are hot, too...We have our air on from May to October..

Carolyn, do you think those veggie chips might be dehydrated? Just a thought.

Sad day at my friend's house today. Our whole little lunch group met over there with her. She's still in shock and is having a hard time making any decisions. It's hard to help in a case like that but we're trying. Thanks for the prayers for her and her family.

My weight is UP!!!! Time to pay the piper, BIG TIME!! It actually scared me when I weighed this a.m.. Maybe it scared me straight. I hope so.

I did a circuit cardio/weight class today and oh boy howdy. I'm afraid I just might not be able to walk tomorrow. And I'm supposed to meet friends at 7 a.m. to do just that. I pulled an inner thigh muscle and it's so sore.

Hi..

I was thinking dehydrated, too..I have a small dehydrator..might try it out..

Yes, how sad, but she is blessed to have good friends like you. She probably will be in shock for a while.

Sandy, you can blame those leprechauns on your weight gain..LOL..You will lose fast for sure.

I had dinner theater tonight. I made pretty good choices, just a taste of polenta, some veggies and meats. No drinks, no desserts.

My body hurts! I'm off to bed. I have to meet my workout buddies at 7 for a walk before water aerobics. This accountability thing is sure working so far. If I was on my own I'm pretty sure I'd be sleeping in tomorrow morning, lol.

Go Sandy! You're doing great!
I sure didn't have much get up & go today... did my walk & elliptical, but couldn't face doing the wt. training.
Molly's eating more now... she kind of picked a kernal here, a kernal there during the day. Then ate more this evening. Looks like we get to go for a walk with the neighbor & her pooch... that's going to challenge us both!
Good night gals!

Hi..

I do think being accountable in all things helps...me. My friend owns the faux Curves I go to, so that is incentive to show up..Yes, Sandy..gosh you will be walking in 15 minutes!

Oh, Debby, that will be interesting how Molly and her doggie friend do on a walk..I hope they get along. Glad she is eating more.

Haircut day..Think I will get to my faux Curves before that..

Go Sandy! Hope you feel better by now.

Because of all you exercisers, I did squats in the kitchen while waiting for coffee to brew. I can feel it! And I did it slowly (still haven't opened those DVDs...).

Molly the eater of all things will so enjoy her play with her good friend. And so nice to walk with our friends, isn't it Debby? I did that for years with my good friend who lives 1 block away.

Hope your pastor gets bailed out before he starts a jail ministry.

BTW Sandy, possibly if you weigh and it's not yet what you want, it's inflammation from strenuous exercise - someone back me up on that?
And temporary.

Going to lunch with my mother and her friends. She's going to tell them what she knows so far. We see a general surgeon tomorrow to satisfy her current insurance, still hoping to be referred to the out of network group in Oklahoma City who do this type of cancer care far more frequently, thereby having more success...

Sandy, still thinking of your friend and that whole family, in my prayers.

Good morning. Just waking up. Sandy take care of those muscles. I hear L-Glutamine is a good one to take for muscle repair after exercise.

Judy you and I can sit and watch our walking tapes together. Mine are catching dust on my book self.

Well I watched Life of Pi and loved it. The big question is which story did you believe?? I also watch Les Mis and cried my eyes out. All in all it was a good TV watching night.

Not sure whats happening today. Hopeful it will be some cooler temps. D is at his weekly breakfast outing with his friends and brother right now. I just had my hard boiled egg. Life is good.

See you all later.

Buffy, I do believe there's a book in there somewhere! I know it would be on the best sellers list!

I showed up to walk!! And we walked 2.51 miles and THEN we went inside and I sat in the whirlpool for awhile and THEN we did an hour water aerobics class. Then I came home, intending to clean. Well my phone was on fire so I didn't really get anything done except talk until about 1:30 when I went to get a hair trim and a few groceries. Then I came back and just finished vacuuming. I'm so sore! I'm hoping it's better by 11 a.m. tomorrow when I meet with a trainer to evaluate my strength and flexibility. I can tell you that right now I'm pretty sure I have very little of both, lol. But we'll see how it goes. I am loving the gym, even with the sore muscles. I know they're only temporary and hopefully I'll get more fit and healthy, plus enjoy social time while I'm at it.

I really need to color my hair. I really hate that job!!

Good for you Sandy! That's how I feel about getting it done too... & here its so expensive!

Judy I hope you get good news for your Mom soon.

Yeah Buffy! You're on my diet!

Interesting day... My walk got put off till tomorrow... ran Molly with the quad through a dozen cows along the way (went the path of least cow-crowds). She did really well, stuck with me all the way. Only chased when we needed them out of the way & kept coming with me.

Then I did my elliptical (didn't feel like it, but pushed through).

Today "cops for cancer "came to "arrest" my pastor The charges? Promoting football in a hockey town! What a hoot! But he'd gone to lunch, so they had to do it at Tim Hortons in front of a crowd!

Cooked up some more veggies... baking a store-bought quiche for DH.

Hi gals

Buffy, the rabbit's feet are keychains. You can get them online or trinket shops. I take the chains off for safety's sake.

If I was a blonde I would definitely pay someone to color my hair. But unfortunately I am not, and I just need coverage, nothing fancy, so I do it myself. My sisterinlaw is a wonderful hairdresser, but she lives in NH.

The weather is nice. Have morning meeting so will try to exercise this afternoon.

Check in later. Weight is going down a bit.
