Hi gang,
Busy weekend but fun.
Dentist appt. this afternoon, need to get thru this stack of mail first and pay any bills that need paying, ouch. Hate to send "out" money.
New dentist so have to map out my route.
Judy, I am so much like you. I just always want to wear comfy clothes, which means stretchy, knit, loose, soft, etc. I never liked to wear structured clothing and it seems the more expensive it is, the more structured it is. And hot, some of those clothes are just hot and I don't mean in the stylish sense. If I was cold blooded it would help I guess. Even when I was thin, I preferred soft, comfy clothing. Hopefully, your SS can pick out things you like and feel good in, I have never had any luck with someone else picking out my clothes. DH tried for a few years and then gave up when I would return almost anything he bought, poor thing.

I have shared "some" recipes on FB that are either LC or could easily be made LC. I keep thinking I will get back on the wagon, but so far, just thinking.

Think I will have to tell Dr. VH tomorrow that one of the new BP meds will have to be changed. It caused a nagging cough in about 20% of the people who take it and of course, I fall into that 20%. It isn't too bad and I was going to try to live with it but really, there are so many BP drugs on the market that I decided there is no need to settle for anything that is bothering me. The 2nd one seems to be doing fine. Will see what my BP in the office is tomorrow.

Wish cats were as easy to teach tricks to as dogs. About the only trick I have ever been able to teach my cats is to stand up to the counter where treats are laid out and reach up to snag one. Real difficult, huh? Molly sounds like she is really picking up on things and dogs do try to please. Cat merely aim to be pleased.

Hi..

I am going to order those for sure..Thanks, MK.

Oh, when I get anxious I do get the trots, too..Not fun. Immodium stops it in its tracks.
You are probably anxious that you will have "problems" at the restaurant, is that right?
Hope you can find an answer...

Hi Buffy and Judy and Sharon and Cindy and Sandy... Catch you later..Haven't eaten yet..

I'm going to make Barbo's biscuits tonight with the BTFlour and see what happens.

Well well well friend in cooking - I am going to make Barbo's biscuits today, too!

I remember all the way last year, I think, I made someone's version that involved cutting butter into the "flour". It was okay but it was a lot of trouble for just okay.

I adore buttermilk in a biscuit or in dressing.

I continue to wonder - why am I not skinny?

Ugh Buffy - my mother's blood pressure medication was changed because her old one could have possibly been a reason she was having pancreatitis. Her new bp medication is making her stomach hurt a little bit and is completely making her tired. She doesn't want to do anything - completely unlike her. I'll have to ask her what its name is so we can commiserate. Dr. Very Handsome will no doubt be glad to hear you on your nagging cough with one of your new bp meds.

Sharon: hilarious - tapping your foot as you weight it out....

MK anxiety has "gotten" me, too. Also any trip to any commercial salad bar... maybe the msg?

We got 1/2" of rain in 10 minutes!
And it's raining again - almost an inch now in my rain gauge.
Welcome, rain!
Carolyn it looked like you were really getting some rains this morning?

Newsroom is on HBO Carolyn. It is now in the 2nd season and the 1st season is on-demand right now for catching up.

I never have buttermilk. Sometimes I just add a little vinegar to 1/2 & 1/2 and use that when I need buttermilk.

For IBS you eat the salad at the end of your meal - otherwise it gets your digestion going too quickly! So maybe that would help!

Buffy - I went to the dentist today!

Carolyn - are you REALLY getting the pool hose?

I loved the texture of those biscuits but mine were coconutty, too, and I do keep buttermilk.
I don't think DH noticed a coconutty taste - he liked having a biscuit.
I did too, but next time I might make up a batch of that BTF with only almond flour. As it is, I use 1/2 coconut flour and 1/2 almond flour.
And man - those things are filling.

Thanks MK - I'd never heard to eat the salad at the end of the meal but that makes sense. Although often my salad IS my meal.

I just couldn't believe the pantyhose in the pool. So I searched for them and came up with lots of "questionable" sites. Yikes!! My cousin's ex wife used to wear hose with shorts and open toed sandals and wore the reinforced toe kind of hose, lol. I actually don't remember the last time I had a pair of pantyhose on! I sure don't miss them, lol.

I'm going to try the IF plan this week. I'll fast 2 days, not in a row. I started last night around 7 and I'll fast until 5-6 today and then eat one meal. Tomorrow I'll do regular LC and then stop eating at 6-7 and eat dinner as my first meal Thursday. I've been reading a lot about the advantages of this and just decided to give it a whirl. Next week will be vacation week but then when I get home I'll do it again to get rid of any unwanted baggage I bring back with me.

I'm not really calling it JUDDD b/c I'm not going to track anything. On up or down days. I'm just going to fast on the fast days and eat on the eat days, lol. We'll see how it goes. My tummy is really rumbling now so I'm drinking water.

Hi..

Yes, I found those questionable sites, too..Another alternative is to have swim shorts that are longer to hide the cellulite..

Sandy: Good luck with your IF..Are you eating at all on the Fast Days????

Ok girls, I'm back and done eating for the day, lol. I fasted 20 hours then had a few bits of pork roast. For dinner I had 1 1/2 Italian sausages with homemade red sauce and zucchini noodles. Also a salad. I was stuffed! Carolyn, yes, I will always eat on my fast days I think. I think the thought of not eating at all would mentally do me in! It's really amazing what all the health benefits come from even moderate fasting. I hope to get into a 2 day a week routine doing 2 20-22 hours fasts on those 2 days. It really wasn't that hard today so we'll see how it goes when I get back home.

I loved the Forsythe Saga!!

Hope that works out for you Sandy. Sounds hard. I used to fast a lot. But found that I'd always eat to make up for it later. Low blood sugar keeps me from doing it anymore. It will be interesting to hear how it works for you though

I think someone worked on that and some subbed almond flour for the coconut flour and some cut the coconut flour in half and added the almond flour. I have only made the sweet recipes but the coconut flour is hard to hide.

Yep - my "normal" BTF mixture is 1/2 coconut flour and 1/2 almond flour.
But I could still taste the coconut a little too much.

I agree. I think all almond flour would be the way to go on savory recipes. I love coconut but not in biscuits with sausage gravy!

It is raining! Rain in August, amazing and so needed. Happy
Back to dentist today for whitening

Have to go download an audible book for the time in the dental chair.

Repair shop thinks they have finally located the problem with my power steering and it goes in tomorrow. 3rd time I have told them something was wrong, they finally took me seriously. didn't help that I overheard DH telling them that he didn't notice anything wrong but his wife did! Wanted to strangle him. I have put 143000 miles on that 2001 car, I KNOW when things "ain't" right
