How Much Fat??
How Much Fat should I be eating a day or per meal?
I just started the fat fast and I never know what to eat.
Here is what I've been eating these past few days..
Have about 3 cups through out the morning and early afternoon
Coffee w/ Heavy Cream
2eggs fried in coconut oil
2oz steak (cut up in small pieces)
homemade sauce - 1tbls butter melted with some garlic
4oz chicken cooked in 1tbls coconut oil
can someone tell me if I'm eating too much or little?
What's the amount's of Fat and protein I should be eating to burn fat, lose weight and stay in ketosis..
I just found an awesome keto calculator earlier today. Can't post it on here though. You'll need to google it.
I started out with 3 days of fat fasting. I happen to adore egg salad and can eat straight cream cheese, so that's what I did. I made egg salad simply floating in mayo, ate 1/4 cup 4-5 times a day (when I was hungry) and drank water and diet Coke with Lime. When the egg salad ran out I switched to 2-oz portions of cream cheese (brick). I've used macadamia nuts in the past but they are an expensive option. There is a section in Atkins' book devoted to the fat fast with ideas and the ratio of fat/protein/carb that is the ideal. I've low-carbed before, but my family is not interested in joining me. :(
I just got a copy of Dana Carpenter's Fat Fast book. It has, I believe 100 recipes. From what I understand, it is 90% fat. I believe, according to Dana, you are eating too much protein.
Truvia is one gram of carb each... you should look for liquid stevia.
And I don't think you're eating enough.
