Morning everyone!
Great posts.
Molly wouldn't have made it much longer without outgrowing that carrier. She is very sweet looking. Loved all the pictures you posted during your trip, made it seem like we were "kinda" with you.
Great pix of your son on the lake MK, now that is being used to living on the water!

All the ice cream recipes sound so good and fruity.

Not much news to report on my end, I haven't been good diet wise. Keep thinking I will do better, maybe soon....
I am feeling ok, not much energy and eating better would help that, I know. Just still struggling a little I guess with my year. Just making excuses.

Have decided our family is just messed up in our heads. My great nephew had a wreck Friday morning going to work. Had a seizure and caused a 4 car wreck. Thankfully, no one but him was hurt, he has 3 spine fractures, some cuts and bruises and will also be seeing a neurologist in regards to the seizure.

Sorry I am a little bit of a mopey pokey these days!!! It will get better, and it could be much, much worse.

hugs all around!

Buffy there are days when you just have to say "It's going to get better" mantra. Take care and don't let it get you down.

Tomorrow we're going to take our DIL to a cardiologist to see what's going on with her chest. She's been having pains and stayed an overnight at the hospital. They are not sating heart attack. Don't know what's going on.

The heat's back so a popsicle is going to taste good this afternoon. Debby I love your puppy. See you all tomorrow.

Hi ladies and Jim,

Oh, dear Buffy...Praying for peace for your whole family and that your great nephew heals quickly..

Molly is adorable..Look at that nose..She and Merlin would make quite a pair..

Sharon: Hope your dinlaw is okay..Hopefully, the cardiologist can give some wisdom to her situation..

Didn't exercise today..Was busy with a meeting all morning..I could go this afternoon, or I could get the guest room ready for Wednesday, which I will probably do.

Buffy, you and your family have really had some big trials this year, that's for sure. I'm sure they all look to you for support and encouragement too. And sometimes that gets to be overwhelming in itself. Your family is so blessed to have such a wonderful shoulder to lean on! And of course, we're all here with our shoulders for you anytime. I sure hope you get to feeling like your old self soon. It's no fun to feel yucky. Hang in there, my friend.

Sharon, hope they find out what's ailing your DIL. That's scary!

I vacuumed up 15 pounds of dog hair this morning!! At least it seemed like that much after a five day bout with the granddogs and our own over the holiday. Plus I mopped, dusted, changed bedding, flipped mattress, scrubbed shower, did 2 loads of laundry and threw in a bit of exercise. As if I needed it after all that!! Lol. I'm pooped!! Tonight we're taking my dad out to dinner for his birthday. My DGD and DSIL both have birthdays this week too. And then DDIL has one the end of the month! Whew, what a month.

Doesn't everyone?

DH and DS24 scraped and painted this weekend and didn't clean up after themselves . . . . so there were paint chips and gutter stuff everywhere!
Plus my trees drop a lot of stuff too.

And please don't tell my driveway what good care you give your driveway.

I guess in Texas, our version of sweeping driveways is the "blower",, you hear them going all the time, it's no wonder Oklahoma has all those tornados!

Molly is sooo cute, yes, she and Merlin would make a cute couple.

All my activity yesterday has my old body aching today. Do any of you do Tanata? It's a form of a HIIT workout and that's what I did yesterday. In between all the cleaning stuff. I like the idea of it because it doesn't take a lot of time and it's supposed to be very effective. It's a good thing I don't have to do it again today, lol.

Buffy, which Dr are you going back to today?
Blowers are very popular here too. I'm not sure I've EVER swept my driveway in my life!!

Dr. today is just a 3 month follow up with my very handsome cardiologist. I will take him my labs from my recent visit to my endocrinologist. Don't expect any changes but do need to get a couple new prescriptions. After I got these filled for 90 days, we cut doses in half, which is good but I have been trying to cut those little devils in half and it is a royal pain, they are generic and cheap so am going to just get new RX's for both. Supposed to have 3 month followup with neurologist on Thurs. but if DDIL can get me in for hair cut/color at her salon later this week, I will re-schedule neuro. The Dr. today is the very good looking "ologist", I have all my "ologists" now, I feel so special .

Our summer heat is really settling in, really can't complain as sometimes we have 3 months of it and this year June was quite nice.

One more load of laundry and that is caught back up.

Hi gals..and Jim.

Dutch people are really into how the outside of their houses look.. MK is our little Dutchgirl. Gary hosed off the porch today, but his family comes from Germany..LOL..

Buffy, you are very special..Lots of doctors to visit..Hope your meds will soon be gone..

Doing laundry for our guest tomorrow night..Luckily, we will miss the ice cream social
at church because we will be taking her out to dinner, so that is one cheat I will miss..

Did make it to exercise today, then babysit my 2 favorite 2 year olds at church for the young Moms..They are funny boys..Just starting to talk, so they are so cute..

Molly has the sweetest face..I do think Merlin would fall immediately in love with her if you showed him her picture, MK..

KCity this weekend...Hurray... Probably won't see Buddy, but I'm sure we will have fun.

For body aches and arthritis, take tumeric, my LC doctor says and swears by it as an anti-inflammatory...It is a supplement..

Nope, not this time. This exercise doesn't take two to perform. Good one Cindy!!

Ive found a new Netflix series to watch. It's called The Palace and it's pretty good so far. It's too hot to do much outside so I just stayed in and watched TV this afternoon.

Nothing.

Have fun this weekend, Carolyn!
And I have seen lots of videos and articles regarding turmeric on the webz.
I think it does have anti-inflammatory properties...

Hi!

So - busy day after an interesting doc appt yesterday!
Apparently I have IBS.
I've battled diarrhea on and off for years, never quite knowing when it would hit and ALWAYS having lots of Imodium around.

After a long doc discussion, I'm watching my diet and going on Librax.
I'm really hoping this works because it would be nice to lead a normal life!

Today went well - I went to the shooting range, a doggie play-date for Merlin and a 2.5 mile walk in 94 heat and no symptoms.
Fingers crossed that tomorrow is good too and the 14 hour drive to Florida is easy!

The bad part is - I have to rethink my eating. White rice, potatoes and bread now need to be a staple.
It's going to be interesting!

You won't kick me out of the group will you?

Hi..

Oh, MaryKay..Have you ever tried Slippery Elm Bark? It is supposed to be very helpful for IBS. Look it up on the net, but of course, your meds, too..So sorry you have that. If you have to eat those carby things, you need to pretend you are on WWers and avoid the fat with them or don't overdo it. That is the bad combo...carbs plus fat. We lubs you and would never kick you off..(I had a Braum's soft serve yogurt tonight..)

Molly has no leash, cuz there are no cars..LOL..Are there?

Got to get serious about the guest bathroom tomorrow..Jenny ( a person I have never met, but it will be fun) is coming around 4..She is going to speak in Broken Arrow at a Women's Connection meeting, then driving up here..Maybe Judy can hitch a ride..

Oh for heaven's sake!
I've been in the wrong group all this time!

I thought this was the group that talked about awesome food and how to find it or make it!

Seriously though, MK, your strategy was not low carb anyway, was it?
Or was it?
It seems like there are several here who eat completely whatever works for them and it works for them AND YOU WEIGH A LOT LESS THAN ME.
Oh, was I yelling?
Sorry.

Anyhoozle - ya gotta do what you gotta do.

My cute cute cute cute 27-yr-old niece had food poisoning and I was telling her the kindest thing for her gut would be rice and potatoes. Glad your doc agrees with me!
