Squirrels are so ungrateful!

Judy, I think a lot of the tiredness is my age, family genes, we aren't the healthiest bunch and the fact that I don't do all the good things that are good for us . Meds may be a small piece of the puzzle too. Luckily I am not still trying to hold down a job like so many seniors do. My kids used to say I wasn't the typical grandma, now I kind of am except for my dark, sarcastic sense of humor of course

Talking of squirrels, we have them in our back yard and one of the younger ones tail is not full and bushy. Bad tail day I guess

Hi!

I'm growing my own tomatoes, but I probably have another 30 days . . . .

I am 148.5.
Perhaps I should shoot for lower, and I sure don't feel like twisting off and eating whatever I miss, but I am pretty happy at this weight.
If I lost 10 more pounds, I would probably look awesome.

I think you look awesome now!!

Since I started Vitamin B supplements a couple of months ago, my mood has drastically improved.

Which ones did you choose?

I am 5'4" so not so tall, but.... I am not 25.
I admire you girls for getting low and keeping your window.

I'm 5'0" - so wow, you're tall!
I'd be awesome at 120 - but 122.8 seems to be my low so far this summer.
Though I haven't really been trying!!!

I bought the voodoo vitamin B tablets called "homocysteine care" or something like that from some wackadoodle internet doctor.

Then when those run out I've got 3 bottles of the ones you described earlier.

MK I think they may be helping more than hormones were helping (or not helping).
Not sure how long it takes for hormones to kick in - I've been on hormones since, oh, I think Nov. of last year. Possibly a little earlier? I have been very consistent with that, but still had many "low lows" stretching out for weeks - dark nights of the soul...

But have really seen the light at the end of the tunnel after starting the voodoo Bs.
Didn't correlate until you mentioned it. I hope that's it because gosh, what an easy "fix" if so.

My DD26 was having all sorts of depression.
I sent her my magic bottle and it was like a new person appeared.

I wonder how many other people are B vitamin deprived?!?

Wondering about the time of year that you feel your depression lifting? If it was spring, could be the vitamins but you also might suffer with SAD, seasonal affective disorder. And, as always, could be the B vitamins only. Sneaky stinky depression

Have been aware of SAD for lots of years - my SS (skinny sister) definitely knows she is far more SAD in the winter. If so, this would be my first year - which doesn't mean it's impossible!

True - I don't know what to attribute the sadness/darkness or the lifting.
The darkness wasn't overwhelming, nor was it constant?
And we have so many days of sunshine here in OK.

I take them every day - and I'm sure I have some SAD, but I know it helps!

I am currently taking "Homocysteine Care" from Dr. Ben Kim. It's Vitamin B12, B6 and Folate with some other fancy things enabling him to charge more, I imagine.

After I finish those 3 bottles (1 down, 2 to go) I am going to start taking Mary Kay's recommendation of Sundown Naturals brand of Folic Acid Xtra.

That's what I take and what I sent to DD26.

Cleaned a bathroom today, walked the dog twice, emptied the dishwasher, went to the shooting range with a friend and her husband and am now getting ready to go out to dinner with 3 other friends!

Nice day!

Within 3-4 days. You probably aren't getting your levels high enough. When was the last time you had labs??

I take sublingual B12 from Costco. A lot of the 5-hour energy shots are B vitamins. Costco carries those too.

Thanks, Cindy. My doc ordered blood tests for homocysteine, TSH, FT3, FT4 and T4, but nothing else.

She'd do anything I asked - what should I ask?

Hi ladies..

The Fat Fast is 1,000 calories a day with 80 percent fat..It is good for people who stall..
I only did it one day..LOL..It is really a 5 day program to get you into ketosis..Sharon.
There is lots of information around LCF's about this and some "eating" ideas, too..

My doctor said that B-12 should be sublingual..but I haven't done that yet..No wonder Cindy has so much energy.

Judy, your thyroid test list looks great.

Hair cut..Now to clean out the fridge...I've been putting it off.. But it is a nice day to
let the shelves dry outside.

Guys, the deer are still out..Coming home from a KState Catbacker dinner last night, one ran right in front of us..Dh braked and no injuries happened..

Glad you didn't have a close encounter of the deer kind last night!

I'm making more yogurt today and some for DD too.

Cindy, is the sub-b12 in with the regular supplements and vitamins at Costco?

We saw the Buddy Holly show last night. It was fantastic!! Very high energy!!

Cindy, I am in menopause and on hrt.

Carolyn I saw a doe and her two fawns while we were at the lake last weekend.
A guy who used to be a caretaker in the area bought some acreage and he loves feeding the deer.
Only one has hit one of our cars....
It was several years ago but honestly the deer came out of the woods at full speed (we were driving slowly) and hurled itself into the driver's door!
It scampered off and we got the door fixed.

A good friend of ours at the lake was driving to her lake house and hit a deer - she lived, but her car did not.

Glad you enjoyed Buddy. We should have tried to get seats earlier.

So grateful that that deer didn't hit us. One major deer collision a year is enough.

Made some nommie peach ice cream. The secret to a nice smooth ice cream is glycerin. I never made ice cream without it!!! I made that frozen strawberry dessert today for
Friday. Licking the bowl is half the fun!!

How long has it been since they drew labs for estrogen progesterone testosterone and DHEA? You should be feeling better. I can really tell when my levels drop as I get tired and gain weight which reminds me. Thyroid test time!

Hi
Just stopping by to say hello.
The trip is going well. Moving on tomorrow, from my sister's to another friend's home.
Ate out twice today. Amazingly learning how to eat out... less worries about the cost, just go for what works.

And Debby you look GREAT!! Hope you are having a good time.
I have learned eating out is easier than I ever thought.
And I really look forward to it now. Hope you are well!

Cindy it's been since last November she tested my hormone levels.
I'll check and annoy you with further questions later.

Carolyn you are going to make me make that strawberry dessert, aren't you???
It sounds so good.

Made a double recipe of the chocolate bean cake today for our summer choir party.
I put a note on the cake dome: "low carb, gluten-free, grain-free, artificial sweeteners added"
It deterred NOBODY and then when they were raving and I told them it was made of BEANS it was very fun. Lots of raves, but I have about half a two-layer cake leftover from that party!

Not complaining...
