Hi! I've been outside a lot too - but mainly because it's supposed to rain on Thursday - again.
Really - more rain?

But today is sunny and 77!
I've walked the dog a gazillion times and pulled weeds.
And finished my book!

Thanks Judy,
I've been having trouble with messaging. Tried to find the place to allow it, but couldn't see anything wrong. So I sent for help from admin.

After I tried to reply, I saw you'd replied to this thread.

I clicked on your name and I could see I could have sent you a PM, so maybe it was just a temporary glitch with their system.

Yeah, it says you won't be able to respond to my messages because of my settings. And I had to go through quite the process to get it to send to you. Oh well, I expect it will be an easy fix.

Morning!
Another beautiful day so will be outside a lot. Have a couple of errands to run.

have a small project I want done on my patio that I can't do. My "not so very dear" husband says a grumpy NO! My neighbor says, sure, that will be easy, but he is so hard to nail down to actually follow through. DSIL has company visiting so hate to ask him and of course, I WANT IT DONE NOW!!!

DH grumpy because we have a job in OK on Friday and he always gets stressed out before hand, still, after 25 years in business. He will be just fine as soon as it is over, I have learned just to leave him alone until he gets it done.

Feeling good except for a constant ache or soreness where that gland that was so swollen, is located. Dr. said it was from the trauma but be gone!!!

Need to work in office but will try to put that off for a rainy day, just too perfect to stay inside.

Hi ladies and Jim,

Went to Bartlesville with my friend. Got lots of new clothes for ME..(size 10's and a 12), so I guess this is my new permanent weight. Good incentive to keep on track..

MK: Merlin is your new personal trainer who works for dog chow..LOL.

Buffy: Hope your trauma disappears and you have a healthy summmer, girl..It will be hot as it will in OK, KS and IL..Only Jim, Debby, and Sharon will be nice and cool..

Did lose that pound...now to keep it off and beyond..

YAY Carolyn!

How fun to get new clothes in the smaller sizes.
Good on you!

I am still down 4 or 5 pounds since my kidney stone.
I don't feel weak anymore, though.
I will stay away from Chinese food for awhile to see if this can "stick", too.

Hi friends,
Hope you're having a good day.

Pretty quiet day for me. Worked well, did laundry, got to dry it outside. No motivation for exercise... may go for a walk with dh tonight.

BBQ-ing Pork chops soon. Watching Survivor

YES, yes, yes!!! I feel good again, almost giddy after 4 months of not feeling good, or right, or so darn tired. I think I am feeling what you would call normal. Fingers crossed I don't come down with some other crazy thing!

Thanks for all the support from all my friendly bees

I have been neglecting my indoor work this past week due to the wonderful weather, but, woke up at 4:00 and wasn't all that sleepy so thought I would sneak in here to the office and try to accomplish a little bit. All email is answered, sent some bids out for business projects, looked at FB of course and now going through mail.

I had just gotten home yesterday, unloaded the car, fixed a cocktail and sat down on the patio when I got a call from one of the dinner club ladies. She was in charge to pick the place for this month, which normally would have been last night, but the last I had heard, she was out of town and going to do it next week. She had sent out an email yesterday with plans for last night but somehow missed putting me on it, and, when she hadn't heard from me she called b/c I always respond yay or nay. Well, yep, I could make it so off I went again, 5 of the 9 of us were there and we had a great time as always, eating, laughing, catching up. I love those gals. One of our gals is going to retire from special ed teaching this year so her family is planning a party for her in June. Another has a DD graduating from high school, so will also be a party for her in June.

We went to a local "joint" and another friend and I split the bleu cheese and bacon burger, bad but soooooo good. Only bad b/c we also ate the bun and sweet potato fries but we did split it. 2 rum/diet cokes with lime, sure was good.

Hi

Buffy. You sound like your normal self!!! Hurray!!

Rain today, hopefully no flooding. Alex got me up at 5. I wasn't as ambitious as Buffy.

Sandy/Cindy. Can we make our meetup at 9:30 on the 20th at First Watch?? I think we had planned a 9:00 meeting. That would be great.

Buffy, I'm so happy that you're feeling better and it sounds like you had a wonderful time with friends and have some more fun times to look forward to soon.

Carolyn, yes, 9:30 is fine with me. I'm really looking forward to that!

And yes, what all did you buy? I'm like Buffy, I'm trying not to shop and I keep getting all these temptations thrown in my face (coupons) almost daily. But I'm resisting pretty well. My problem is boredom too. When I get bored I like to go out and about and that leads to shopping. Or I get bored with what's in my closet. I just need to stay busy and keep boredom at bay.

It's rather gloomy and rainy looking here today too. And we had thunder storms last night. I slept through most of them but it was thundering when I went to sleep and the deck is wet so I know it rained. Our bedroom is almost sound proof, especially with the ceiling fan and my noise machine, lol.

I think I had too many servings of the BTF goodies yesterday, as I'm up about a half a pound. It has tons of fiber in it though so it might correct itself today. I just can't find a low carb bread substitute that really does the trick for me. I can duplicate just about any other thing pretty well except bread. I made grilled cheese with that BTF bread and it was sooooooo dry and just didn't taste like grilled cheese.
Oh well, maybe that's a good thing.

We saw that place. May try it next. The parking down there is horrendous, esp for a long Suburban!

I actually NEED some new clothes.
I've donated armloads and armloads of clothes.
I have a beautiful skirt/jacket/top from Talbots I have worn ONCE and I'm swimming in it. I might try to have it altered, but I don't know...

I need a few things just to have. We'll work again and it's possible I could be in and out of an office. I nearly dread going to choir practice because my SS (skinny sister) is always telling me how my clothes are too big. She's a great shopper - she loves it and I do not. I know she'd help me, I just need to get her to make time. She's got a good eye, too. It's just.... the time, I guess.

Buffy you make me so happy describing your evening. Eat that burger! Eat those fries! For heaven's sake you've had a long road getting here. Everything can be corrected. And there is a lot of value in splitting things - built-in portion control!

Sandy I bet it's all the fiber for the 1/2 pound. That is a LOT of fiber. I was interested, though, that I never "felt" bad - usually too much fiber gives me a real stomach ache.

Carolyn I must say I'm also interested in your new clothes... and how often does Alex get a shot now?

MK so happy your DS is home and I wish you could shop with me!
Really all of you.
Except Jim. Somehow I feel like I'd end up in a uniform.

Sandy, it was those darn sales, bargains and coupons that led to e buying way too many clothes. Every week my stores have things on sale, then a coupon, then BOGO, maybe high end clothes are too expensive to over buy on but the type of clothes I buy are just crazy bargains any more. I was raised way too casual to ever be comfortable in high fashion expensive clothing, just isn't me

I got a dress and several pairs of slacks, 5 tops/4 pairs of capris..some earrings.. Last year's capris are saggy..You know when you "can" wear them, but they are too big in
the front..Okay for hanging out and maybe exercising..maybe..

Alex has gone +32 hours on 1/2 unit of insulin today..This is bestest number ever..So,
we will see..His numbers are around 130-140, which is in the high normal range. Some
cats have a normal blood sugar of 50-100..I can't dose him until he is 150 and rising, so
that requires some testing..We will see...Watching the food is important..Too much at
one time for his size will shoot the sugars up..(just like a peep)..He started out going
6 hours between shots..so it is amazing how well he did.

Judy..We DO need to meet in Bartlesville this summer, girl...

Yep, that would be fun to go shopping
Wow Carolyn! You did good on your shopping trip!
I do a lot of online shopping, since we don't have that many places to shop here. Although I do buy my jeans locally... too hard to see how they're going to fit. When we travel, I have to "escape" DH... don't like to even "look" when he's with me. So that limits any shopping while traveling, unless I get dropped off (which I love)! I need to find some "tops" for church... I buy them through old navy but can't seem to find any "nice enough" to look dressier than every day... I dress pretty casually all the time (jeans), just like to wear dress pants & nice blouse or sweater to church or occasionally a dress in summer.

Exactly!!! Just the way we were raised and I never got away from it. We had everyday clothes, then regular clothes and then just a few nice dress up clothes. Really was simpler then, but it does get boring

I am sure we could help Judy shop till we dropped
