Guns and airplanes don't tell me you like fishing too

I used to shoot PPC. AND IPSC to much fun!

I was up a LB this morning and I have been on the straight and narrow maybe I should only check once in a while.......not sure I think weighing keeps me honest.

No, no fishing, worms are icky!
But I do drink Maker's Mark!

PPC and IPSC sound great!!! I'm not that accurate yet. And I'm worse with a revolver!
An automatic fits better into my small hand.

I weigh every day - some days it's NOT a good idea!

Morning!

One of the cats is taking back the kitchen! She defiantly came in this morning and DARED Merlin to challenge her. He backed away pretty quickly.

Exercise this morning, errands, dog walk (insert about 4 of those into my day) and shooting at the gun range tonight.

Hi ladies and Jim

Dh left early to pick up bread, chips, etc to deliver to the church. I just gave him a list and told him where things were at WM as he barely ever goes there.

Jim. It is probably water weight. No biggie. Drink a lot of water to flush out the salt.

MK you are our Annie Oakley.

Time to go. Hugs all around.

MK I'm not a good shot either. But we have fun trying.

We have a friend who lives kind of in the country and has set up a pretty nice shooting range. You know exactly how far away you are, and he lets us bring some fun things to shoot - little cans of the very cheapest soda, etc. Our targets change color to a bright green where they are hit - mine rarely change color.... DH is an excellent shot and he only has one eye!

Morning.
Jim, weight always fluctuates, you just want to see a downward trend over the long haul.

Ahh, Merlin my boy, the honeymoon phase is over, now down to the normal rules around your house!!!

Glad Lord Gary is taking care of some of the operation before he leaves town!!! LOL

The only gun I have ever shot is a BB gun, I still have it around her somewhere.

Well, off to the Dr. today for my follow up. I am 99% certain that all is going exactly as it should and I still have some antibiotics to finish so all should be well. After our cold snap last night, 33, but no rain, it is pretty and sunny here today and supposed to get to 60 but a chilly wind. Then it just warms up from here.

Have a great day everyone!

shoot cans off of the fence..

Nippy here, but the sun is out, so that is nice...

I have an AR-15 and a thousand rounds of .223 amino. I do better with a rifle than a hand gun just because of forearm/wrist strength. But I would like an 8" barrel Judge. Don't have to be a good shot then!

And I have a liter of Makers Mark sitting with 40 split vanilla beans in it trying my first attempt at homemade vanilla. If nothing else, I can dump it in with Diet Coke!

You guys guns and whiskey!

Funny I am a scotch guy glen livet but when time for bourbon it maker's mark that's what we got hiding under the counter.

I have not had a drop of either in over 8 weeks now!

Lucky upping the fat really knocks out my cravings. Why wasn't this around when I was a teenager!

Well I'm on the night shift funny story before I go Kate and I took a couple buddies to the range a few years back when we lived in Seattle. So Kate and three airline captains and also hunter/shooters.
Just like in the diet she kicked our butts. She was using this very sweet 357 8 shot competition pistol but then again so were we all.....lol

Ok time to get ready for another night in the simulator.

Jim

Oh and I was real hungry today so I had a lb of bacon and 4 eggs.......don't judge me

Feel great wont eat again till tomorrow!

Ciao

I love shooting!! And I love bacon!! I even love fishing, at times.

Buffy, can't wait to hear about your Dr visit.

Carolyn, do you think Gary's learned anything?

Has anybody watched The Impossible? It's about the tsunami in 2004. It made my stomach hurt all the way through it! Amazing story!!

Yes, we had snow, sleet, cold and wind. It's all melted now but it's still raining a bit and cold. I want spring!!!!

I was supposed to be watching Gosford Park!

I might get a chance this evening, but it looks more like packing and ironing and stuff like that. We'll leave tomorrow morning for Branson - we heard the sisters are having a great time! So we need to get in on that.

Hope things even out for you on the scale.

Hope you're enjoying a beautiful day too.

Evening, some great posts today.

Jim, yes, I think we will all like Kate here, we may be girls but we are interesting girls

Dr. Visit went very well. Last weeks visit was my first to that dr., they all thought I looked much different than last week don't need to go back unless I feel I need to dee him. Said the soreness that is left is just from the trauma to the glad. He also suspects that it may be tied to my auto-immune disorder since I was not injured, hit, etc. I that is the case, it could flare up again but will just call him if it does.

One good thing through all this year of being sickly is that now I have a team of Dr.s that I am really happy with and all referred from my GP. I felt good today as well, got several errands ran and met DH for dinner.

Jim, my theory on LC is to eat as much LC foods as you need to when you have a hungry spell, it almost always corrects itself. If you keep denying hunger you are setting yourself up for a high carb binge and that will set you way back. You are doing great

Carolyn, enjoy dinner in the village with Lord Gary

Judy, have fun in Branson, has been at least 10 years since I have been there. And Debby, enjoy your motorcycle trip

Sandy, Cindy, MK Hi.

Don't you shooin rootin tootin gals be mixing your shooting and your MM shots

Going to see what's all the tube. Thank or all your caring about my latest sickness but am sure I am really on the way to being better now

Good news for you, Buffy..Yes, it is very important to have a good cadre of handsome doctors who have your number..It is almost as good as having a good plumber and electrician..

Yes, I did explain to Gary and he has some others lined up. He asked Brett to kind of help out, which will be good. I will be down there just in case the men don't know where anything is in the church kitchen.

Have fun in Burns Lake..Dh and ds have been there on a job.

Hope you had/have fun in Branson..

The Inge Festival is in town..Some semi-famous peeps are here. My friend is taking care of Elizabeth Wilson, 92, who played the secretary in 9 to 5. Big theater event tonight..Ds and I are going..Dh will be in the air over the ocean..

Rainy day...again. The LC cruise peeps are leaving tomorrow..I know they will have fun and be filled with tons of information. Veronica Atkins is going on it this year.

Hi!!

Rainy, icky day - again!
I can't wait for the sun to come out!

Went to a Housewarming party for some friend's kids - can they be kids if they're late 20's? Anyway, very fun and the hostess even made dairy-free brownies for me!

DS20 will be home on Tuesday for the summer - probably his last one!
He has a job life-guarding at the pool, a side-job teaching a friend's daughter to swim, and internship at the library in the archives and a fellowship from Loyola that he can do at home this summer! He'll be busy - but home! Yay!!

Jim - Wow!! And I lived in Owen Sound for 2 years when I was a kid!

Buffy - soooooo glad you're on the mend!!!

Carolyn - Did you buy some bling?

Sandy - you shoot?! Fun! I used the instructors guns last night, so a 45 semi automatic, a 9mm and a big revolver . . . 44? 45? something like that! THEN I got to try an AK47! It was heavy and sounded like a cannon!

Judy - have a marvelous time!!!

Debby - sounds like a great time!

I can't say "I shoot" as I haven't for a long time, but I do like to shoot and a friend has suggested we do it together. I might just have to take her up on it. I just had my son clean my pistol not very long ago so it's ready to go when I am!
