Perfume gives me a headache... but I've made the same mistake! There's one lady at church... during our good-morning greetings... she wears too much perfume...hugs me & it gets on my face... I've had to go wash it off... now I don't give her a real tight hug.

I don't have any allergies, but perfume has always seemed too strong to me.
I think I wore it for about 10 minutes when I was in my twenties.
Ever since I became the person who ordered magazines without fragrance inserts.
Actually (and you could see by looking in my closet ), I don't subscribe to those anymore !

Many perfumes give me a headache too. Most of the ones my DD wears. I think I'm allergic to one of the ingredients that appeals to her. And the headache is instant the moment I smell it.

I bet that was a scary night Judy!!

I have to be very careful around DD#3, she gets headaches from perfumes very easily so I try to not wear any when I know I will be with her. Certain ones give me a headache as well and it is awful when you are stuck sitting next to someone with one on in a concert, church, airplane, etc.

I have issues with hugging people wearing perfume, too, Debby.
And it seems lots of guys don't realize how much cologne/aftershave they are drenching. You hug them, then you're wearing it.
For me it feels like until I shower again....

Cured that by joining the choir - no cologne/perfume allowed!

You ladies are right..Many peeps are allergic to perfume. Icky on too strong a perfume, it is like they have a toxic cloud over their heads.

Oh...our latest news..

Dh told me on Monday night that he signed up to provide lunch for 50 people at church on Sunday noon (for a meeting). Dh doesn't cook and he didn't get any volunteers.

Me: When did you know about this?

Dh: A few weeks ago.

Me: Got any ideas?

Dh: Just sandwich fixings, like they have at conferences.

Me: Oh really..Are you going to shop for this?

Dh: I guess I can get it Saturday..

Me: You have to let WalMart know beforehand to fix up trays..

Dh: Oh???

Switch to today:

Dh: I just got a call from my boss and I have to go to Germany on Saturday....
But, I called another Deacon and he is going to help..but I have to order the food
and have Brett pick it up on Saturday.

AKKKK....

Stay tuned for Episode 2..

I do think some men think that meals appear like magic, with no planning, etc.
Dh was a farm boy and his mom always "made it happen"..

Oh Carolyn, wow! Several weeks ago!!!! And, then leave town! Gary, Gary, Gary!!!!!!

Ok, I feel so much better because I "feel better" in general but, I also feel much better because yesterday all the rest of the laundry got down, the house got all picked up and today, I got through everything on my desk, paid bills, filed, put aside a stack for next week (don't want to have nothing to do, LOL) and now just have to get things ready to be returned while I am out to the Dr. tomorrow and get a grocery list made. Feels so good to feel organized again.

My poor little flowers are just shivering outside

Sandy, saw your pictures of your snowy deck on FB, man oh man

It is little Bobby's (4) first tee ball game tonight and it is a wind chill of 43 now, by the game will feel like 33 with a NW wind of 22, still haven't called the game . Come on people, these are just little kids out to have fun, get real!!! Grant's game has been called off, he is 13. I think surely Bobby's will be too but I told DD that I am not sure I would go if not, I know that isn't very team like but you don't want them to start off with a bad experience and then not want to go.

Season 1 of Kansas Abbey starts off with a lot of drama, Lord Gary expects Lady Carolyn to have the servants serve up 50 people on Sunday with little to no notice. The servants are aghast and now calling upon the village shops to provide a side of ham, a leg of lamb and jugs of pickles. Stay tuned for Sunday night's outcome!!!!!!

Oh, Buffy..you are so funny..But, you forgot the part about Lord Gary leaving the village
days before the big Feast....to leave Lady Carolyn holding the proverbial lunch bag..

.....Episode 3 will be on Monday, which is Lady Carolyn/Lord Gary's 35th wedding anniversary..Methinks Lady Carolyn will take to the village to buy something blingy
for herself..

so hard to review a great show in such few words!!!

Boy, I am on a roll (of stink) today!!

You know those plug in scent things you get at Bath and Body Works, they you buy the refills? Well, I had one in the laundry room that I wasn't sure was working. So, I put a new refill in and plug it in over the counter in the kitchen. Only problem??? I plugged it in upside down! Came back to a pool of "fresh cotton" oil on the counter and whew, my kitchen!!! But, the good thing is, I can't smell that perfume anymore! So, THERE Buffy a roo!

Oh Carolyn, unbelievable!!! Yes, you should go buy bling. And while you're at it I'd buy Subway sandwiches, already made up.

Buffy, I LOVE your synopsis of Kansas Abbey!!

Jim, I think you should ask Kate's opinion on the Kansas Abbey episode and see what she thinks, lol.

It's still snowing and is supposed to snow tonight and tomorrow morning. I thought it was a record but apparently it snowed back in May, 1907 and they said we had a trace in May, 2005. Now that one I should remember, and I don't? Maybe it just happened up at the airport where they get the official precip readings.

OH KANSAS ABBEY!!!! Buffy you are brilliant and Carolyn you are too.
I do not envy the pool of "fresh cotton" - Mrs. Patmore would not enjoy that...

The sleet from the north wind is hitting my windows - my deck has ice on it (from the sleet only). Have already had hot chocolate.

Things are calming down at the Manor. Dh has recruited some male serfs to help.

Hi!

Ya'all have been busy today!!

To weigh in on everything - because I'm sure you missed my opinion . . .

I haven't worn perfume in years - my biggest pet peeves are people who wear scent to the gym! Then they sweat and it just comes rolling off them in waves!

And the lady I took to my gun class tonight (The Well Armed Woman) and she gets in my car with lots of perfume on . . . I had to open the window - a lot!

Carolyn - Kansas Abbey!!!
Sandy had a great idea - Subway or Jimmy Johns! JJ will even deliver!
And definitely bling!!!!

Buffy - you are too funny!

Cindy - sleet? snow?

Debby - I kids! So sweet!

Judy - is someone writing these stories down?? Those are wonderful!!

Raining here - and supposed to rain until Tuesday. Our drought is officially over + more!
