Off to babysit today so won't be able to check in too much I'm sure.

Morning!

Didn't get any of the bad storms that we were worried about yesterday, people were really on edge because they had said it could be tornados, etc. picked Grant up from school, went for his allergy shots and then he and I stopped to eat and catch up, good times

Just not my year for good health although I am thankful it isn't worse. When I had the saliva gland infection a while back, the ENT dr. Put me on a combination of steroids and levaquin antibiotic. He warned me not to stretch, walk much or overdo in any way as that combo can cause tendon damage. I took the levaquin for 4days then had aching in both arms and legs and after reading up on it more, decided it was too risky. Well guess what? Ever since then, my hip joints are soooo sore and my legs ache and ache, last night was really bad and hard to sleep. Woke up this morning and still aching. Got on the Internet and I think it is from the combo of those drugs. Will contact ENT dr about it but there doesn't seem to be much help, just hope it gets better in time. if I lift anything heavy, my arms then hurt and ache.

Debbie, enjoyed the pics on FB of your trip.

If weather stays nice, may have DSILs family over Friday night, they are visiting from Canada.

I am loving all your posts! Debby glad you got to have a nice trip and SO glad to hear of your friend's healing.

Buffy I am distressed to hear about the painful condition you are experiencing after the docs trying to fix something else!! Honestly I am praying for your complete healing. You are dear to our hearts and you are such a spark in this group.

Don't think I'll ever tire of that great picture.

No snow today. We are going hiking/fishing. Taking lots of water. It's so beautiful here.
The biggest snow seemed to be limited to up and down the pass.

Hello to all!

Hi..

Got home safely..Fun, fun, fun was had..Lawrence is such a great city for coffee/food/and shopping.. I certainly wasn't perfect, but did pretty well..

Oh, Buffy...So sorry about your soreness.. Medicine isn't all it is cracked up to, is it?

Phew!!! Alex's blood sugar was normal when I got home. He meowed twice at me, then I picked him up and was purring..so all is good with the old boy..

We are having a meeting at church tonight for what we can do for the Moore victims..
I think we are working through the Salvation Army, which is good.

MK, don't forget to walk the dog!! You sound like a very good doggie mama! I better not let Bailey hear about this or she'll be packing her leash and bowl and heading east! Lol. My knee has really been hurting lately. Not the newest surgery knee; it's my old surgery knee. Oh joy!

Evening everyone.

Merlin seem to be breaking in his Mama very well, and the walking good for both of you.

Alex doing very well.

When DH and I were sitting on patio tonight, he let the 4 cats outside, well 3 of them, the girl kitty stepped out and ran right back in. The other 3 very carefully looked around, they hardly ever are out of the house. Funny to watch them.

Guess it helps to complain to my peeps, legs didnt hurt as bad today. Sandy, you and I are quite a pair.

Looks like the weather is going to be nice Friday night so we will have people over, need to figure out the food.

Judy, I love the area of CO you are in, we will be there at BILs ranch in July. And, I might visit Aspen, DD and family is renting the condo there that they did last summer, but for just 2 weeks this year.

Tomorrow night a friend and I are going to a opening of a business we deal with, then I will go on to DGSs band concert.

Busy time of year for all the young families, end of school!

My rich friends have a place in Aspen. I think that would be beautiful.

We went hiking/fishing yesterday and looked at all the animal tracks wondering if a moose made that track... hoping we did not meet that moose.... But I would love to see him from afar. We've seen them here - I suppose it's not at all unusual, but it's thrilling to see about any animal in real life here.
Still thinking of that moose in the grocery store Debby was able to post several months ago

MK please please do not forget to walk Merlin.
Really.
So happy you got to get Merlin!

My family arrives later today for only a couple of nights. I am going to make a couple of the little cakes and I bought a double-creamy can of whipped cream for topping.

I made Cheri's Southwest Taco Soup a couple of days ago and it is so good. We have a little leftover to share and OH! Simple simple simple and so good - Jamie on Your Lighter Side (I believe she is Cleochatra here on lcf?) posted a one-minute lasagna.

You can google it and it will be more precise. Last night in a small cereal bowl, I placed about 3T store-bought pizza sauce, then 3 big spoonsful cottage cheese, then some diced ham, a few pieces of pepperoni, then some leafy greens (I'm kind of off spinach due to kidney stones), then covered with a big handful of mozzarella cheese and a light sprinkling of parmesan.
It is very very good and quick and easy.

Coconut flour pancakes this morning.
Hope all of you feel well, feel better, walk your dogs and love your kitty cats

Morning!

Don't give me too much credit in the doggy-mama world ~ it's simply self-preservation!
If I don't walk him that much he might pee in the house or make me crazy with all his energy!

We may stop by the dog park today so he can work off some of it!

Buffy - DD26 still lives in Aspen if you want to stop by and say hi!
My cats both want to run outside - and then want right back in!

Judy - the soupl sounds yummy! And normally I'd say it's too hot for soup, but not this week - 68 and chilly today!
This whole weekend will be chilly.

Sandy - ouch!! Maybe it's just the rainy weather?!

I need to clean today . . . . oh, and walk Merlin! (just for something new and different!)

Morning!
Speaking of Aspen, great place for "rich people watching" LOL. Also, while we were there last summer, there was part of a Main Street in the downtown area closed off. There was a small bear sitting up in one of the trees!

Went to dinner one night and we had fun guessing how much plastic surgery each person who walked in, had had done

Buffy - for once, I don't think she is! But I'll check when she's home this weekend.
Also, count the number of ladies in yoga pants - especially those with purses that cost more than my car!

Holy moly! I am in yoga pants!
I am not a handbag person, however....

That is funny.

And my rich friends have had zero plastic surgery... (*whisper* so far...)

hahaha

Judy - these women are as big as my little finger, and I'm sure at one time they took a yoga class, but they walk around town with their Prada (or whatever) purses and little teeny tops and subsist on water with lemon and air.

*snicker*

Good morning all
Everyone sounds good. Hope you're having a great day today. I'm glad you enjoyed the pics of our ride... it was fun.
My challenge this week is to do-ahead as much as I can at work, so I won't be missed too much for 6 weeks... And to pack for said trip... last minute arrangements for home, etc.
Hope you're all safe from tornado's!

When we go to Newport Beach we do a lot of rich people watching too. And there's no sense in even trying to guess who's had plastic surgery. It's more challenging to find who has not had any! But we love it, and if that's what makes them happy then good for them. I guess.

Soup probably really hits the spot up in the mountains where it's still pretty cool. Sounds yummy to me. I need to go check out that one minute lasagna too.

I'm feeling very lazy today. I've had a pretty busy last few days and would like to just chill. But the sun's shining and I feel like I should do something! Maybe a run to Costco at least. I have a return to take care of.

Have a great day everybody!

Oh Debby - leaving work and a home for 6 weeks is daunting. At least I try to overdo as much as possible in order to be *just* the right amount of frazzled as I leave!

Sandy you've earned it - enjoy your day, I hope.
Same to everyone - hope you have a great day.

A 6 week trip is very hard to get ready for, don't think I have ever done that.

I am a purse person, love nice bags but talking the up to $500 type, which I buy at TJ Maxx for much much less, or outlet stores when they have sales and coupons. MK is right, those ladies in aspen are skeletons! They go out for all those meals and barely nibble!

It is fun to watch the upper crust

Got garage kind of cleaned up, got the 3 riding toys out and washed, grocery list made and menu figured out for tomorrow night, now please nice weather

Hi ladies..

I really don't think tiny ladies eat much..at all..That is my theory..

Yes, six weeks is a lllllonnnng time, but luckily, there are laundromats so clothes can be washed...

I am still tired from our trip...tonight I will go to bed early, so I can clean more efficiently tomorrow.

My friend got a new Avalon and the girls drove it down to Lawrence..My it was nice and roomy..Myrna said that that was the last car they were getting..LOL..

Exercised this morning..then saw my ex-neighbor June..She is living with her ex..She said he did mention getting married again and I think she is ready for that. I told her to make sure she was on the will..

Nice and cool today..

I did gain 2-3 pounds over the 3 days..I did eat carbs, I'm afraid, so there I am..Back on plan today..

That's not too bad Carolyn, you'll get that back off in no time.
If I was June, I'd leave it the way it is. I remember when "that" happened and I'd be afraid. But you gave her good advice, make sure she's the beneficiary! I do feel for her. What an awful thing to go through.

My friend has been gone on a trip since April 22 and won't be back until the end of June!! I'd love to give that a try! I might not like it but I'd sure like to find out.

Hi gals and Jim

I will list my cheats: crust on quiche, popcorn at movies, wine, muffin, spinach pie, ice cream, English muffin and potatoes. Three days up 3 pounds. Back on track today.

Sandy, June has always adored her cheating man. He has repented and they are going to church and treats her very well. They are around 70. We will see what happens.

Not much on tv.

Hi Y'all!
Hope you're doing well. My day went well in spite of some annoying set-backs... (internet & printer problems at work)... Got lots done. Still don't have a clear picture of what I need to do before I leave. ~sigh~
Got to go for a walk to the neighbors with dh this afternoon & finished other things on the "at-home" list.
So much going on at the church, its hard to get to my do-ahead list. But I have hope. Time to vegg!

Hi!

Really cold here - but finally sunny.
We're having a cookout Sunday night so I hope it's not too cold!!
But I'll have all the kids together!
First time since Christmas!!

I'm watching recorded shows, Longmire on A&E, and rewatching Arrrested Development so I can catch up before the new season starts.

My DVR is pretty full - all the Midwife and Selfridge and Blentchley (sp) shows are still on there!
