Hi everyone!!

Yeah, Jim. Once you get your food figured out you will drop like a rock.

Buffy. Be well. Take care of yourself.

I got glasses in first grade. Then got hard contacts in 1967. HAve gas perms now and I have good long and mid vision. Reading I wear those cheapies. I also have progressive glasses which I put on at night.

Sandy, have you tried any refreshing drops???

The new puppy is in his forever home. He is very lucky.

Had fun this am. The ladies bought my breakfast.

Hugs all around.

Wow, I will count my blessings that I didn't have to wear glasses earlier. And yes, Carolyn, I've used those drops. They help a little but with dry eye it just gets so dry they just feel like they're going to pop out. You can't move them around or anything when they get like that. I'll suffer through. It could be worse and at least I have vision insurance.

Hi everyone..

Go, Jim, go!!!! We are so excited about your weight loss.

Love that Merlin...I think he will be such a fun puppy for you all..Wait until his brothers and sisters meet him, MK...

Weigh-in was 141..Yeah me..Okay..My Dr. asked him if I wanted to work for her..No kidding. Right now, I have so many other commitments and I like my time at home, so I didn't think so..It would be 4-6 hours a week, which isn't much..If Alex was off the juice, I wouldn't worry about leaving him so much..What do you think, ladies??? and Jim?

Dh and I are going to lunch..He is in town for a meeting with the pastor..

That job sounds interesting Carolyn. What would you be doing? Just think how much you might learn! But I hear you on finding any time to fit a job in. I really don't know where I ever found the time to work a full time job! With 2 kids!! And then 2 grandkids for a while! I know I couldn't do it now. And I'm basically down to one husband and one dad who depend on me regularly. I guess they must be harder than 2 kids and 2 grandkids, lol. I enjoy my life and my hat is off to all those moms who make it look easy, when we all know it's not.

Well, about 6-8 weeks ago I decided to start taking the Heart Savior supplement that I bought for DH last year. Even though my ratios have always been good, every time I have lipids done the first thing they say is "statin". So after about 4-6 weeks on the supplement, w/o changing anything else, I had blood work done again. I got the results today. My total chol dropped from 224 to 184!! And my HDL was still up at 66 and my LDL dropped from 140 to 107 with Trig at 56. So that stuff really does work and it's all natural. And that was a pretty short time period too! My Nurse Practitioner wrote down the name of it and asked me where you can get it. So who knows, maybe she'll share that info with somebody else who refuses to take statins.

Carolyn it sure would be easy for me to recommend you work for your LC doc.
You have such a charmed life and I am sure it is just as you like.

I was thinking how many people you might reach who would not ordinarily "hear" the real nutritional truth of today after all the years of the low fat high carb lie.

You will know in your heart what is the correct thing to do - you serve in a huge way right on these boards. You are constantly serving at your church and in your community and as a fabulous wife and mother. Even a few hours a week is a lot to add in.

I'm pretty good at spending other people's time...

Sandy that is fantastic about the Heart Savior supplement.
I don't need it, but SS (skinny sister) has been put on a statin for high crp.
Our lipid profiles are great, but her doc thought the high crp (and climbing) warranted the statin and she said OK. I wonder how the Heart Savior would work for that?

In fact, I had a recent normal reading of my crp, but high homocysteine (still inflammation). I wonder about that?? My doc would never recommend a statin for me, though.

Hi!
Merlin had his first play date today.
We met a friend and her dog at the dog park.
We're both tired!

Sandy - OK - I HAVE to try it now!!! Going to look for it!

Judy - why wouldn't your doc recommend a statin?
Not that you need one - I'm just being nosy!

Jim - Fabulous!!!

Carolyn - you would be an amazing asset to your doc!!! But do you want a time commitment? In my experience, 4-6 hours turns into 8-10 . . .
And great on the 141! You're almost to the 139 in your siggy!

Debby - thank you! He slept really well through the night last night, so I hope this is easy!

MK - hooray on the play date and sleeping through the night!!

Neither my doc nor I think statins are very good for females. They seem to be best for actual heart patients who are male. It's a personal opinion, though - Not judging anyone here!

And you are so right on the actual number of hours working... it always blossoms.

Hi ladies and Jim.

I'm not sure what I would do, but I don't think I will take it...I am selfish with my time..LOL..Don't need the little bit of money, but do love my LC doctor, etc..She said I would be counseling some patients who have been on the program a while..I'm not
sure those patients would be happy paying $45 for me to talk with them..LOLOL..My doctor is a real doctor (and doesn't play one on tv), so her advice is much more valuable than mine..LOL..

Sandy...I forgot to order those for Gary, but will do it..today.. Maybe he will only have to take one pill instead of the 4 he takes now.

Did you see where Dr. Groves died last night? (((((

Squiddy looks like the puuurrfect cat pillow.

Oh no!!! I didn't see that about Dr. Groves. What did he die from?? So sad.

With the Heart Savior you take 2 before breakfast and 2 before dinner. So still 4 a day, but they're all natural!

MK, I will be so interested in seeing your results!! I looked on my calendar and I started them Feb 27 and had my blood drawn on April 20, so just shy of 2 months. I'm really impressed with the results.

Cute pic Cindy!!

Judy, IDK the answers but a little research will probably reveal them. A cardiologist is who formulated them so who knows???

Ok, off to search about Dr Groves.

Here is some fat burning tea that my doctor recommended..The "lemon" is the key along with the healthy real tea..

This was from my real LC doctor. She says it is good for us and drinks it all day and she says it controls the ghrelin in our tummies that makes us think we are hungry.

2 Quarts of water in pitcher. Take 2-3 black tea bags, and 2-3 green tea bags and place in the water. Squeeze one whole lemon in the pitcher and refrigerate
overnight. Take out the bags/enjoy all day long. Add sweetener as desired.

Tea gives me acid reflux and I love tea!! I wish I could drink it. And it makes my DS's joints ache. He finally narrowed it down to the tea and he loves it too.

I like that name, Cindy. I was thinking along those same lines. May We All Be Thinner By June?
