I didn't like them..... My fav are the Fiber Gourmet pasta. They are not super LC but are lower carb. And lower calorie. 1/4 of a box is 130 calories.

I use those all the time Cindy. Ever since you told me about them a couple of years ago. I also use dreamfields sometimes too. Both are very yummy but it would be so great to find something really LC that tasted good, YKWIM?

Debby, I just keep gaining & losing the same 5#, over and over and over.....
I guess that is called maintenance though.

Have a great weekend off Jim, and congrats on the loss.

HELLO and happy Friday!

MK there appears to be a great deal of golfing at our house.
However I am doing 0% golfing and DH is doing 100% golfing.

I am still folding laundry from vacation laundry. We've had two dinners here this week (DD's 33rd bday and DH's oldest friend last night and this morning).

We think we are going to violate the rules of adult-hood and help DH's friend move. He's in a difficult place emotionally and we won't kill ourselves and it's not 112 degrees. And we'll visit DH's mother in the bargain. I think it might happen very soon, but I've committed to church, so will have to be worked-in. He's in Oklahoma City and we're in Tulsa.

Judy, I knew you were in OK but did I know you were in Tulsa??? My sister lives in Broken Arrow. My dad's headed that way in about a week to stay for a month or so. He goes fishing at Ft. Gibson lake with them while he's there.
That's nice to help a friend move. That's hard work! Be careful.

Chance of a meet-up!!!!!
Carolyn would probably come down if you were here too!

This friend of DH's is pretty needy - always has been. I am just sad for him right now and I hope if I do something, maybe he'll do something to help himself, too, KWIM?
I can't fix things for him/them - I know that - but sometimes we just need someone by our side.

If I'm the only one working, that will end pretty quickly, sorry to say.

Carolyn, our local HyVee sells the Fiber Gourmet too. So next time you're in KC you can stock up!

Our dinner was very good at Bonefish last night and it was nice to visit with our friends.
It's a beautiful sunny day here, so far, although pretty cold yet this a.m. I'm sure we'll find something to do to enjoy it.
I hope you all have a wonderful day!

I buy the penne most as it is a versatile shape. There is a lasagna noodle too. I also buy their crackers. LOTS of fiber! You want to lower your cholesterol? Here it is!!

Hi Y'all!

So glad the bombers were stopped without more deaths.

Yes Sandy, I realize that's maintenance lbs... but any wt. loss is celebrated in my books! I move up & down 2-3 lbs & always get so happy with each lb. lost... even if its' "again."

Here's a shocker... I started jogging this week. I've been doing it in the church (when I'm working), when I need to go downstairs, & around getting things done, when I can. Then I also can now jog to the mailbox & back (which is a fair distance, across the road & up the next block)... so yesterday I did jog-walking on my 1.5 mile walk with Shelby. It was more challenging & I'm looking forward to the day that I can jog the whole thing. Mostly I jogged on the "downhill" parts, but that's a start. Spring is awesome!!

We went to friends after dinner on the motorcycle, for a visit. Got back at midnight. oops. Then DH left early this morning. A friend in our church needs help, so a whole work-bee of the church-men went to do a roof for him. He has cancer & is going for a bone-marrow transplant... guess there's a pretty high chance he won't survive & he doesn't want to leave this roof job for his wife. Hopefully it will go fast, as its a gorgeous day & SATURDAY! Would love to go for a motorcycle ride.

Oh..love Thai food..

Thanks for the headsup on Hy-Vee selling the Fiber Gourmet. Netrition sells it, but I just ordered a bunch of stuff..maybe next time. My LC doctor says that fiber helps slow down sugar releases in your blood...

I love Bonefish...yummy.

We had a great event at church today. It was a Clothes Swap. Ladies brought their nice
clothes (limit 15) last night and the committee set up racks, etc..Then however many
items were brought, you could take home that number. So this morning we all got to
shop..I got 3 pairs of pants, a top (from Talbots), and a cute little jacket for NOTHING.
They also had shoes/jewelry..We did a "seasonal" thing..No winter clothes allowed.

I am heading for Lawrence on the 20th of May to meet my Des Moines friends.. We always have fun. I'm hoping Alex will be off the juice by then......

You know, 20 men showed up for that project & were able to finish both roofs & dh was home by 3 pm. Amazing! Awesome that they were able to give up their Saturday & get it done for them!

Thanks Judy, for the timely article!! It reminded me of the ill effects of anaerobic exercise on our T3. The article, is very good. So I'm going to re-think this jogging thing... must not get so winded... google this, if you want to read it... why women should not run... its very in depth. And a very timely warning for me!! My memory fails me sometimes... I knew that with thyroid issues we aren't supposed to work out that hard... oops!

Yeah, it doesn't sound like you ever brag Sandy...

I baked a big turkey today. Got it all put up in baggies & frozen. Ate way too much while trimming it. Not so good, but I really love turkey skin! Really looking forward to sleep tonight... only got 6 hours last night. probably why I felt like snacking on the turkey fat... being too tired.

Oh, I downloaded the kindle thingy & have purchased 2 books through amazon. One is supercharge your metabolism... Anyway, this app. brings up your books from online & you can read them on your iphone, or any pc that you put it on. It even remembers your page!! Way cool, huh?

Hope you all had a wonderful day!

Oh, thanks for that Judy! It opens up possibilities I didn't know about! Thought all the reading that people did on the devices loaded all that data right on your device, which I couldn't see lasting too long without crowding out the memory! So smart, these techies!

Funny you mention that - I have a swimming friend who has just been told to eat an anti-inflammatory diet. She's got more than a full practice (counseling) and like so many people, doesn't want to put much time in on figuring out what she CAN eat. And she doesn't like to cook.

I quizzed her about her food - she said she had already had a "cheat" day and had Cheerios with a banana. I asked if she was hungry early and she said yes. I guess everything went downhill from there...

I think she's supposed to be eating much lower carb than she is, but I'm not going to try to control this...

Anyway I asked her what she liked to eat and she said she loves pancakes, but only pumpkin pancakes. So I made the regular old coconut flour pancakes (coconut flour, eggs, a little artificial sweetener) but I added a dollop or two of pumpkin and all the spices.

Haven't heard back from her - I hope she liked them. I love pumpkin pancakes!

Hi everyone!

Awesome worship & fellowship at church today. Then our son's family came over for dinner & supper. We had a good day.DH took the kiddo's to the farm next door. They love going there to pet the baby lambs, goats, horses, ducks & chickens. laugh Pretty cute pics... best smiles when they're doing that.

DIL & I got my walk in, which was great. I sometimes miss my walk when they come over. They just left at 8 pm. Whew! Long day, but good. I hope I was able to encourage her... she's suffering pms today.

Hope you all had a good one!
