See you in the am.
|
OMG, I'm first!! Well, behind Carolyn but I'm first!!!:sing:
|
Cindy you are just having a good day overall!
Thanks for the new thread Carolyn! |
Good morning!
Feb 1 – 143.8 Mar 1 -- 138.4 So a loss of 5.4 pounds. I can't really take credit for that loss as most of it is due to 9 days of feeling awful. Judy, I love!!! your avi pic!!! You are beautiful!!! |
Hi ladies..
Off in a little while.. Reporting a 2 pound loss..:) I'll take it. Sandy will be the biggest loser, I'm sure..Congratulations..:) Maybe some of it will stay off.. :) Judy: I don't know what we are doing today..I'm just going with the flow and the van.. It's hard to plan when you are in a large group..But, sometime, we definitely have to meet up....I would love it..:) Love your picture, Judy..I need to find a good one of me...LOL |
Marking my spot.
Beautiful picture Judy. Now, like Carolyn, I need to find a good picture of me. Oh wait, is that possible? Have a lot to do today to get ready to go to Arizona so not much time. |
Dear Friends,
Your photographer should rub a lot of vaseline on the lens and shoot the picture through gauze then we will all look alike! HA HA! But thank you - it was somebody's phone camera from the California wedding. Buffy I hope you have a great trip and can check in here and there. You sound so much more energy-filled than even a couple of weeks ago. Carolyn I completely release you from trying to get together and I won't plan on it (thereby making it more difficult to get together) because as you say, when you are in a group, your decisions are fewer. We will meet, right after I've lost a couple more pounds. :D Congratulations to all you wonderful "losers". I am dead even - 154, and actually pretty happy about it. I think that was my weight in November, so it means I have maintained. I would one day like to weigh 145 but I feel so well right here.... it's imperfect but I've spent a great deal of my life wishing to weigh something less. |
Good morning lovely friends! :D
Great job everybody! :high5: I'm maintaining well, learning about the fluctuations of cold-meds & juggling with new carbs & strength training. Feeling great  October 129 November 127.5 December 127 January 126 February 125.7 March 126 |

I am bummed! Up 4 pounds since Jan. I know why. Upping fat without decreasing carbs. Since I am a carb lover, I'm keeping my avocado a day but lowering other fat to a reasonable level. I did not watch what I ate in the DR and I continued when I got home. This is why I don't like a weekly cheat meal. It's hard to get back on the band wagon!! |

I bet powdered E will be fine alone. Quote:

Well, I have bronchitis!! I never get that!! 3 new medicines and hopefully I'll be good as new in a flash! Lol. Bad news is he said I shouldn't be around the great-grandbabies. They were going to come see me tomorrow but I sure don't want to get them sick. Especially the littlest one. He gets sick so easily. And the older one is turning 2 next week!!! Unbelievable how fast that time has flown by.

At least you'll be very healthy for the next visit. And I can't get over how pretty (and healthy) you look in your new avatar. :) |
Hi ladies
I'm with a great group of gals. We had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. I got a light salad and had one bite of someone's cheesecake. Then we went shopping. I'm happy to haven own bed. Some gals are sharing and some of them aren't tiny. Mr roomie is coming later and she is a sugar fee gal so I brought some Chocoperfection chocolate mint bars. They are wonderful. Yikes bronchitis Sandy. No fun. Take it easy. Cindy, you will lose the weight quickly. No problem. Yes Judy we will have to meet in Bartlesville sometime in the spring. It is half-way. Hi Debby, Buffy, Mary Kay, BJ and Sharon. |
I'm off.
Sorry Sandy, but at least you know what it is and have meds for it. Take care everyone, will miss you! |
Hello and Happy March! It's crazy to believe that February is behind us!
Buffy- Have a great trip! Sandy- I'm so glad you went to the doctors!! Hopefully you're REALLY on the mend now!! Cindy- Agree with Carolyn that you'll take it right off. Although I hate the thought that there is ever such a thing as too much avocado!! Debby- Yup, DH loves to ride!! We rent a motorcycle out there, though. We haven't gone cross-country on ours or anything... yet... Judy- Well aren't YOU gorgeous?!!!! WOW! Hello to everyone else! Feb. 19- 164.5 Mar. 1- 157.5 for a loss of 7 lbs. in February. I hope that I can repeat that in March!! So far, so good. I feel tighter and better (although still very tired each night and feel like I could sleep in every morning). My clothes are comfortable. I tried on bathing suits yesterday and ICK- not ready for that. :( I'll just wrap up in a cute dress next week as I'm poolside in California for a couple days. Have a great weekend! BJ |
New Avi!! I'm the tall one!!

Cindy- WOW! Nepal? COOL!!
Debby- Those sound like exciting trips! We have a Suzuki V-Strom, but we rented a BMW for the Cali trip. We really liked it! We explored around us in PA and plan to do the same thing now that we're in Texas. FUN! Thanks on the weight loss. My buddy where I track my food says I should weigh 150 in 5 weeks. HA! If only it's correct... BJ |

Yeah, too bad the last 10 lbs. take so long. But at least you can look & feel great while you take them off. ;) |

And it is true! |
Sorry I'm so late signing in. Just being lazy about it. My weight has stayed mostly the same. I've been juggling the same 3 to 5 pounds back and forth all month. I think it's time to really watch what I'm putting in my mouth and just how much. I keep telling myself I need the weight loss before maintaining!!
I have so much to loose and you all have your eating well controlled and close to goal. I'm still struggling with 100 pounds to loose. Enough whining and now it's bed time. Have a nice evening ladies. You all look fantastic. I felt the need for Spring flowers. |
sjl330, I have a question for you...
I have been reading all the threads and I noticed your calories are in the 2000's.. I started eating High fat / low carb on Wednesday. Prior to that I was trying to up my cals by upping my protein ( I was only doing 1600/day). That made me gain. But also when I figured out my body does better with high fat. Anyways, on another thread you said something that I also believe, that was, you maintain your weight better for lifetime if you lose on higher calories (or something along that line). So I was wondering if you were still eating that many cals a day. So far I have been over 2000 cal/day and losing, just wondering if it sticks or if it will come back to bite me later and I will have to reduce calories. BTW I am 5'2" and 125lbs. I also lost most of my weight with HCG here lately and I am just coming out of P3 .. Thanks in advance :) I am also a WW lifetimer :) I noticed you used to be a WW leader, I lost 50 lbs on WW after my last child in 2009( 200-150) |
WOW.
I'm not Sandy, but congratulations April for your great loss!! :) |

Just for myself, I think our bodies sometimes rest at a certain weight. Even for months - obviously part of that is our settling into our new weight for awhile. When you are ready and ONLY when you are ready dear Sharon, you will put a keener eye to what you are putting into your mouth (said the person who will probably settle for being 10 pounds heavier than necessary.... :)). I'm just glad you are here - you add a wonderful voice to all our friends. |
Thanks Judy! I have struggled my whole life with weight.. nothing seems to stick. I am a yo-yoer and need a WOL. I think this is going to actually be good for me, as I am a big eater.. probably more of an emotional/boredom eater.. and I am a MEAT eater! :) You ladies seem really down to Earth good folks, I have enjoyed reading your threads. Thanks for the help by posting so much good info on the threads!
|
Thank you Judy for your support. One things for sure I'm sure developing patience. :)
:welcome: April. Nice to meet you. |

First off let me say, everybody is different and you have to find what works for you. But to answer your questions, yes, I almost always ate around 2000 calories a day. I don't track regularly as I have been able to maintain pretty well without the need to track, so I just got lazy. When I stray too far and really have to rein myself back in, I go back to tracking. I've been told, by my dear friends here on this thread, that I have the metabolism of a teenage boy. :hyst: I'm not sure I'd go that far, but I do think I'm blessed with a pretty good metabolism. I credit my thyroid meds and bio-identical hormones for that. I too love to eat and I love meat. So learning to limit my protein was probably just as hard as limiting my carbs. And I still tend to eat a bit higher protein than I probably should, but it works for me. I've never done HCG so can't comment on that aspect. I like this plan because I'm not hungry and I feel good on it. It's just like any other plan, you have to decide if this is what you're going to do, and then do it. Be strict with yourself and see your results and then you'll know if this is for you. As with any plan, the more you stray the harder it is. But this plan, to me anyway, is pretty easy to stay with without too much straying. Also, I'm 5'7" and almost 63 years old and weigh around 140. My high weight was around 190. And I've struggled with my weight my whole life too. I weighed 32 pounds at 9 months old!!! Anyway, this is a great group to hang with. We discuss everything, not just our diets and we'd love to have you join us. We'll all do everything we can to encourage and help you along the way.:hugs: |
