I think I'm going out in the rain to buy chicken thighs. Just a good thing to keep on-hand and will add to my already-good broth and soon-to-be-possibly-maybe noodles. |

Buffy, I thought there were lots of pretty dresses and some not so pretty. Kristen Stewart looked awful, IMHO. And I hate the way she grits her teeth together when she talks. Anybody else notice that?
Ok, I have my soup made, I'll let you know what we think later. Buffy, you can never post too much! I love your posts!! |

Ok, I sneaked a bowl of soup early to try the noodles. Sorry, I don't care for them at all. I love eggs and egg drop soup so I was just sure I'd like them, but I don't. I scooped as many of them out of the soup as I could and added some Dreamfields pasta instead. About 1 serving for the whole pot so it won't raise the carb level too much.

Hi gals...
Yup, Judy I think I made those noodles and they are eggy, but with certain soups, they are fine.. Well, Gary is traveling from Omaha to here via 75..Hopefully, he won't get blown off the road..Men, do they ever listen? I'm sure Brett made it safely to Minnesota..thanks.. Snowing here, then raining, then snowing..We are supposed to get between 5 and 8 inches tonight. I know you KCity kitties are getting more, then MKay will get it, too..(maybe). Texas looked a mess in the Western part.. I ate Mexican today..What was I thinking? Weigh-in on Wednesday..Have a light dinner if any. I took out a lady who is having a hard time adjusting to living here..She is very nice, but doesn't drive and lives out in the country.. Yeah, BJ on your weight loss.. Now...ladies, name for MARCH???

Oh Sandy darnit.
I wish those had been "noodle-y". I'm stubborn and will probably try them anyway. It doesn't take much to see that it would probably taste "eggy"... Oh - I'll try it anyway. After tasting, could you imagine adding or changing anything? Buffy! I did get my luptin flour! ![]() 9 freaking pounds of it! Now I have to go back to that thread and see what I wanted to make... Cindy I think I might go ahead and order a little of the pea protein. I have such a nice collection of protein powders, I'd hate to stop now! *sigh*

We ran a few errands together and I bought him an early birthday present - a great black suit and black shoes. He's ready for anything - interview, wedding, funeral, whatever. Guys are so easy! Then I came home and collapsed! i didn't watch the Oscar's either. Quote:

No, no ideas to add/subtract on the egg noodles. I think the crepes would make nice lasagna noodles though. I think the cheeses would hide some of the eggy flavor. We loved the dreamfields spaghetti in it!! I can't believe I've never thought of doing that before.
Two new grandbabies back to back! How exciting!!! Prayers for all the travelers and for anybody who has to get out. I'm starting to feel like a hermit. I haven't been out of the house since last Wednesday!!! I don't remember the last time that happened. I'm losing my tan!!!! Lol. I'd rather lose this cough though.

Morning!
Carolyn, how nice of you to still be checking on your new friend who is having a hard time. Like you said at the time, you wondered about her moving to a place outside of town and not driving, I can't imagine. Oh my word, the pictures you gals are posting of the snow. It IS very pretty, but I will be satisfied with just pictures, thank you. Sandy posted some on FB. Winter came late this year but it sure made it in style. Still nice, sunny but coolish here in TX. Sounds like our MK has the flu. Soooo sorry to hear that MK. It is too late now I think to get on the tamiflu but I have had several people tell me that really helped them get over it quickly. I think you need to start it within 48 hours and I know at first you thought you had DH's cold. Hope one of my DD's isn't getting sicker, she emailed this morning about how bad her allergies are this year. ANd, they are bad here, we just don't get hard enough freezes most winters to kill off all that junk. My eyes have been itchy. Left a message for my regular Dr.'s nurse to call me today, so that we can discuss getting me into a neurologist. On the message I asked her to pull the hospital report from the neurosurgeon who saw me there before she called back but I am guessing that won't happen. So, this might take a day or two. Might take a dear friend to dinner tonight for her 51st birthday. Her b/day is Thurs. but she is doing something with family that night. She wasn't sure if tonight would work or not. Tomorrow night I am invited to a "my favorite thing" party. Have never been to one but there will be 9 of us there. The hostess will have dinner and then we each take 8 gifts of an item that we really like, or is a favorite of ours, that costs between $5 and $10. They are to be wrapped in plain paper or bags. Then you get one of each of the other guests items to take home and you explain why it is your favorite thing, because of how much you love it, how useful it is, the value, etc., etc. I am taking these facial wipes that you use to clean your face and take off makeup. I started out using these and love the neutrogena brand but they are pricey, I think $6-$7 per 25. Then I found a CVS type that is cheaper and that I liked just as well, after trying several generic brands that I didn't like as well. Then, I found that these were an even better buy if you bought them in twin packs, but wait!!! It gets better! Every so often, CVS runs specials on them where they are 50% off! So, the twin pack becomes only $4 for like 60 wipes. What a deal AND I like them. So, I am taking those and also another CVS item I like to make my package over $5. Can't wait to see what some of the other gals bring. Think it will be lots of fun.

Ok, for those of you who have and use Swerve sweetener, I made a cooked fudge frosting for my little chocolate cake last night that was really good. I will try to measure my ingredients next time I made it instead of eyeballing so that I can post it. It is just swerve, hershey's cocoa powder and HWC, cooked in microwave, beat a little with a spoon and poured over the cake. So good.
