Hi ladies..

Oh, 60's dresses..Love it..Wear tights with them, Debby...

Anyone remember having to kneel on the floor to see if your "dress" was too short? LOL.Of course, when I was in highschool, it was all dresses and skirts..No pants allowed at all until pantsuits got popular..Now anything goes..

Went to B'ville..Bought myself a really nice purse from Gary and a top from Christopher and Banks. He will be happy as he is bad on ideas..Got some other presents..Dianne and I are going back on Tuesday so I can think some more.

I still remember Christmas as a child and it was so magical. My favorite time of year.
My brother David would get up at 2 a.m...open his presents, then go back to bed. So, I assumed my kids would be the same..They slept until 8 a.m..most Christmas mornings..

Not sure what's going on. I just clicked on my name by gallery and there I was. There are 3 pics. It's been a while since I did it and forgotten how now.

I love my bike. I've been on it for 10 mins 2x's now. Going slow so I don't have any knee flare ups.

Carolyn, my dresses are so short, from then, that the brown mark on my panty hose shows! Much better shirts! No where near the floor kneeling... I remember that kneeling rule from junior high, by the time I was in High School they forgot about it. I do remember how hard it was to sit like a lady in them! Oh my!
Shopping sounds fun! WTG!

Awesome that you love your bike!!
I just finished my Flex time (40 minutes) for today... Did lower body & abs. Wow! That's gotta do something!
It was too cold for me to go skiing or walking, so I threw Shelby in the van & drove to the end of our driveway (1.2 mile) twice & had her run behind to get her exercise. She did super! 25 miles per hour! She still doesn't want to get in the van, but I hope that will eventually cure her hatred of the car. It sure worked on her excess energy!

Morning!
Up and around early than usual for me since little Ava is here. What a little sweetie she is, I asked to keep her alone this time because since she is just a little over a year younger than Bobby, I seldom get to interact with her by herself and really wanted to do that. She is just so cute and sweet. She wants Santa to bring her Cinderella, not a doll, not a dress, just Ciinderella.

Hi ladies..

Debby: It is not good when the upper part of your panty hose shows..LOL..

I remember hot pants, too..Now, kids just wear them and call them regular shorts.

We need an Ava picture, Mema.. I don't blame her for wanting Cinderella..That girl was a hard worker.

Gary got a call from his KC cousin..Aunt Leta (who lives near Sandy) is very sick in the
the Shawnee hospital..Her breathing is bad and she wants hospice called in cuz she is ready to die. She is 95..Pray for a peaceful passing for her..

I need to see if I can figure out how to post the picture of Bobby and Ava going to see Santa. It was really cute.

Bless Gary's Aunt, I sure hope she does have a peaceful passing.

Yes, hot pants were sooo scandalous! Is anything anymore? Even heard a bit from a country western song the other day, talking about "what is left of your blue jeans"

Going to my stepdaughter's today, DD #2 and DD#3 and their families going to. The mommys are going to build gingerbread houses, with a little help from the kiddos and the guys are going to watch the football game in their media room, which is out of this world, they just moved into this house this summer. We are going, going to give Ava back to her parent's and bring Bobby home to spend the night, then will have to run him home in the morning so he can go to school at 12:00 tomorrow. I have to come home today and make at least 2 more batches of toffee just so I can fill tomorrow's orders. Was going to make it last night but just tooooo tired.

My little DGS Grant is 13 today! Wow, how did that happen? He had a fun birthday party with his friends last night.

Rembember a while back, some of us were making these little cakes from Ouizoid's flour mix, here is the recipe. But, I was having trouble with mine coming out so dry that although the taste and texture were good, they were so dry I could barely choke them down. Well, made it again today and instead of microwaving it for 3 minutes, I did 2 min and 40 seconds, came out very good. I added cinnamon and cinnamon davinci with almond milk.

Basic flour mixture

2 Tbs Oatfiber
2 Tbs coconut flour (60)
1 Tbs vanilla protein powder (30)
1 Tbs eggwhite powder (22)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp glucomannan powder
1 Tbs erythritol (optional)
spices (optional--but is great with pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon)

To this I add a mixture of davinci SF syrup and water or almond milk. My mixture is about 1/2 cup to start, but because of the coconut flour, more liquid may be necessary. Experiment with it.

Prayers for Aunt Leta.

Sounds like you got good birthday gifts Carolyn. Best way to get what you want/need, imho.

Buffy, you are just a bundle of energy!!

Debby, can't wait to see the pic of today's outfit. Good idea on the driveway exercise, lol. Nice that you have a driveway long enough to use it for that.

Sharon, I love riding bikes but I hate exercise bikes??? Sounds like you're enjoying yours, so that's good.

MK, I remember hot pants!! My sister had some that my dad did NOT like, lol.

Gosh now I see how often I have posted and how I miss all of you when I don't post!!

Wedding was so fun. We drove 2 hours over, got there 2 hours early to visit, prayed, ate, danced and drove back home. I was in bed at 1AM (quite late for me).

Sang in church this morning "E'en So Lord Jesus Quickly Come." We are so blessed to have in our choir a young couple who have exquisite voices. They were just able to adopt a baby boy a year ago, and still are faithful and extraordinary choir members - they just make it exciting to be in choir.

I'll go back this evening for an ensemble group for our "Blue Christmas" service - for those for whom this season has sadness attached. I'm not that great of a singer but I stand next to an AWESOME alto. She ups my game!

Hello to everybody!

Buffy I feel ya. After the kids were out of our house, I just couldn't prance around putting Christmas in every little place and then facing taking it down in a month.
Plus, like you, I felt I was lacking something by not having much Christmas around.

I just had to let myself off the hook and do whatever feels right at the time. I think last year about a week before Christmas I finally got out the nativity and a very few other things. It's the gathering of family and friends I prefer. I certainly admire those who decorate well, though.

Yes, prayers for Aunt Leta. She surely knows best what she should have - hospice - I hope they make her comfortable.

Buffy you haven't changed a bit!

Sandy - today is the day to finally make your chicken, but I see I must make "bread" crumbs first! A stumbling block .

Carolyn love the things you chose! and I agree - we need an Ava picture.

All the gifts in the house that should be wrapped are wrapped!

Now for the cards . . . .

I made the Breakfast Lasagna - but it seemed too rich.
Almost like there was too much sour cream and not enough sausage . . .
Anyone else made it?

Judy - sounds like a fun trip!

Carolyn - prayers for her!! Sounds like she's had a good life and is ready to go.
it's raining and cold here and supposed to only be 33° tomorrow!

Buffy - A new avi!! Yay! You have the most beautiful eyes!!
Yes, a pic of Ava please!

Sharon - where do i go to look at the pics?

My sister made it and shared with us all so we could vote whether it will be on Christmas morning casserole. We all voted yes, but we enjoyed the creaminess, and decided to double the sausage.

Buffy!! Love your new avi!!! And the pictures. Your girls sure look like their momma and the kids are darling, of course.

We didn't do much today after church. DH make Texas Red Chili and DD and DSIL came over to eat with us. I mostly just watched TV all day. Lazy!! I did start some Mucinex to try to get my chest loosened up. I still have that very unproductive cough.

DS called and thinks he got bit by a brown recluse. The pictures sure look like it. Right on his elbow. And of course, he won't go get it checked out. Maybe by tomorrow he'll decide he better go.

Man, it sure got cold here and fast!! Our birdbath froze up within a very short time. Morning is going to be brutal. I have to take my dad for his upper GI and colonoscopy tomorrow. I told him to dress warm.

Thanks Judy you are too kind. Glad you got to view them.

I spent some time on my bike and then we took the boys for there walk at the lake. While we were coming back to the truck a C-130 flew over us. It made the hair stand up on my arms as I stood there in aw. We got the dogs in the truck and off we when to our little airport. They have a viewing location so we parked and watched as it got refueled and set back off towards the north. Dh told me about the time he got a ride in a Dr's mustang. He was just a teenager then. While we were setting there we saw a mustang starting up and take off. He was so excited watching that plane. All those memories coming back about his ride long ago. That was fun today. It was beautiful day for it.

I was trying to leave this alone but can't....
I hope SO much he will go tomorrow if he won't go tonight. It is quite a flesh-eater, that brown recluse.

Oh, don't worry, I warned him all about that. DH had one years ago when DS was too young to remember it. And a good friend of mine's DIL had to have skin grafts on her arm after being bit. He's very stubborn but I told him he really should go. He's seen all the pics online too. I think he's not sure it was a brown recluse, so tomorrow when he sees how much worse it's gotten, surely he'll go. It's his DD who is having the medical problems again right now and I think he might feel overwhelmed with everything. But he really should get this looked at, I agree.

Oh - that makes more sense now. He's only focused on his DD and this is just a spider bite.
I will back off until tomorrow then I'll hound you relentlessly for details .

for their family - and all of you.
