Slight headache today but neck not nearly as sore and tight, I truly think he helped me, and can't wait to get 3 more sessions in. The next day he is in is Wed. and I will be out of town, so have to wait a full week. Haven't taken any advil since before I went to chiro.

If I can get Ollie to slow down long enough, will try to get a cute picture.

OMG, he is a sweet little guy, love just shines out of his eyes. DS and DDIL are very good parents and are teaching him well. They are off to have lunch and run a couple of errands, then will be back for nap time. After that, they are joining DD's and kids at an indoor water park for lots of fun and then back here to sleep tonight. They have to go back sometime tomorrow as DS works on Monday. My ex and his wife are here visiting as well, so they are splitting their time between us all.
I sent you the article lnk in your messages. Not sure if I'll get in trouble or not... its just medical info. you can also google metformin side effects.

Grandkids are so great! Love when they're little bitty.

Yes, MKay..no grandkids here, either, so I live through all our "grandkiddos" on the site..

Buffy, it does take a while to get totally back in shape at the crackerpackers..The longer you were out, the longer it takes to get back in..(you can quote me on that one).

I'm sick of cooking...I think we will have eggs and bacon tonight..and maybe some cheese..on the side.

January Names????? Put on your thinking caps before NYEve, ladies...

They didn't have these when I was in school!

They'll study the rain forest, Mayan ruins . . . and then go snorkeling and stay in a monkey preserve!

Jump into January

Good morning,ladies.

I like Jump into January. It assumes there will be some sort of movement involved!!
I have Little kids church today. I love that age. Pre-k. They are so much fun and easily entertained. Then there is always snacktime. I bought some cookies. Bad Carolyn.

Looks like snow for some of us tomorrow. Gary is excited to try his snowblower out!!

Oh my, I made Maria's pizza crust last night. It is on the recipe thread. It was the best so far. I want to make a Gino's style deep dish pizza using that crust.

Have a great day, everyone.

Good morning gals. Thinking Positive January is what I came up with. LOL

Carolyn is that pizza crust from Maria's blog? I was thinking it sure sounded good and was going to make it this week.

Buffy hopefully no headache this morning. Crossing fingers for you.

Rains gone for now but sure is good and cold outside. I'm wearing double socks on my feet.

Enjoy your day!

Morning everyone.
Just said goodbye to DS, DDIL and little sweet Oliver. It was so great to have them here at our house, they don't get to come often, but, I am going to their house on Tuesday to babysit Ollie on Wed. and Emily will do my hair on Thurs. so I will see them soon.

Afraid I woke up with the headache again today but the advil took care of it. Wish I could see the chiro again before Friday but my and his schedule won't work it out before then.

Cute January names, all of them.

MK, I want to take that class that your DS is taking, wow, what a great opportunity.

Cold and sunny here, has been really cold for us the past 2 days, supposed to be a little warmer today.

Darling January names to choose from - I'm on board with any of them.
(just not much help! )

If that headache can be fixed with Advil, I am even MORE inclined to think your crackerpacker is going to end up fixing this - after awhile as Carolyn mentioned.

Glad you get to see little Oliver again at HIS house so soon - he'll like that (and so will you!).

Mary Kay - I also was not able to find any classes in Belize when I was in college!! I must say, though, I have loved that kids these days get to do semesters abroad. I am sure I would not have wanted to go, though, I was always so homesick (a little over an hour away from my home! ).

After I looked at Maria's pizza crust recipe I knew I'd want to try it - glad you did Carolyn. I'm looking forward to it!

Thanks,
I learned something. You can post pictures from other points of the web. That one is posted on my google account. That makes posting pictures a lot easier. However, its quite large.

I'm quite happy with quinoa. Think I'll have to try all the stuff they have for it... flour, flakes, etc. The more I hear about "corn" the less I want to be eating in (my tortillas).
Jumping into January sounds great to me. Like to keep it positive.
Sandy, that's good, you Dad is feeling better. May you receive the grace you need to put up with the grumpiness.

See y'all later!

Carolyn is so right - I prefer to be able to see the pictures!

I agree with the others, Sandy - I always think grumpiness is a good signal.

Just got back from "Tuesday Morning" - one of those stores that seem to stock things I can't stop buying. I was looking for some more of those small 'personal casseroles' on the chance DD32 will want to start this way of eating this year - didn't want her to have to go without fake bread or those neat little cakes.

I didn't find any round ones, but found 2 square ones. She might like those better for bread anyway.

By the time she comes around to this, I'll be a pro! And can help her. Hope she soon sees what a good way to eat this is...

He should have a great time - I HOPE he learns something too!
Mainly he'll learn how to fly from St Louis to Dallas, change planes, fly to Houston, call a hotel shuttle, stay in a hotel by himself, call a morning shuttle, get back to the airport, go through security, and fly to Belize all by himself!

Throughout this traveling course, students will study rainforest and coral reef ecology, the natural history of Belize, and Belizean culture and development.
Academic excursions into Belizean ecosystems will be coupled with field labs, discussions, and lectures from local experts.

The course focuses on experiential learning through exciting activities such as hiking through a Community Baboon Sanctuary, river canoe paddling through the Sibun River while water testing and collecting macroinvertebrate samples, and snorkeling through part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System.

Students will also tour ancient Mayan ruins, the Belize Zoo, the Maya Centre Village and museum, and the Smithsonian Institute’s Western Caribbean Marine Research station.

Will i worry - oh yeah!

I think Cindy went to Belize a couple of years ago?? She'll probably chime in here soon and put your fears to rest. I'd like to go there someday. It looks beautiful! If he can make it through that whole gauntlet of travel without any mishaps he deserves an A+ in my book!

MK, I thought we had one of our new people to this thread that lived in Belize? It was earlier, like late summer, early fall.

Belize, like any country you are not familiar with, is best seen with an organized, established group, which it sounds like he is . The Mayan ruins were cool!!

I'm more worried about him getting there.
I figure once he's there, he'll be well taken care of . . . .

He's traveled a lot, both with us and with school groups around the US and to Europe several times - just never alone!

MK, I had to chuckle when you talking about ds getting there. I would be in prayer the whole time. The nice thing about airports is there are lots of helpful peeps there. Dh and I got a hotel shuttle in Houston last May. The key is to call the hotel on your cell phone. Of course that means it is nice to have the number.....and a wakeup call from the front desk is always nice, too.. He will have a great time and great adventure, plus he can always call
you for advice until he leaves the country..

I love Cindy's picture.

....waiting for snow....I think Tulsa is getting some, too.

I feel sorry for the KC Chiefs..I don't have a professional team that I support emotionally, but they have had a few rough years..

Carolyn - should he call from his cell or go to the hotel courtesy phones by the baggage claim?

DH is a die-hard KC fan - and he's been disappointed a lot, especially since DS20 is a Packers fan!
