Why do I have a killer headache, after a night of partying, getting home at 10:00, yes, 10:00 pm and no drinking? Ain't fair I tell you!
Right in my sinus area over my right eye, ouch! |

I'm late to the party!!! Church then lunch with my cute smart mom. My sister has the virus I had last weekend, so is in recovery mode. She said she weighs 112 and does not want to lose anymore.
I made her some of the almond flour bread I posted yesterday, sliced it and put it in baggies. She's always been thin (mostly) and much smaller than me, so we were both surprised when she was tested pre-diabetic. I'm sure she's not pre-diabetic now, but she's got to start eating (something nobody will ever say about her sister! ).Buffy that 3 pounds must be salt or something as MK said. Not fair!! However I am quite interested in your mousse. Debby congrats!! You are reaping the benefits of having energy! That's so nice to know the adrenals can come back with proper attention and medication. Mary Kay - so glad you got to see 2 of the 4 and how nice to look forward to the whole family together again soon. Carolyn your day sounds divine! I am back to putting out a few Christmas things. I usually wait so long I feel bad about it and I don't want to do that this year. I want to enjoy the season without kicking myself for one thing or the other. Love seeing all your messages everyone.

Buffy, good for you!!! Your muscles are probably just holding fluid from your dance workout. I'm sure it'll drop right back off.
Yesterday we went on a marathon of shopping and only bought one thing, lol. We really only went just to be going. DH had to talk me into it. And then this morning after church we went shopping some more! I told DH "I usually don't like shopping with you, but this time has been fun!" He said the same goes for him, lol. I guess it was the lack of stress. We really did have a good time. Then I made LC Italian Sausage and Spaghetti with salad for dinner when we got home. Yum!! MK, I thought about you Thursday evening. We ended up not making it down to the Plaza but I looked for you on the news. We had an emergency in church this a.m. An older lady collapsed and med-act had to come get her. I really thought she was gone and it was pretty upsetting until I realized there really couldn't be a much better place to die than in the house of God. She was alert by the time they took her away and I pray she's okay. Thankfully, she had lots of family there too. The weather was beautiful here today too. Much better than yesterday. We enjoyed going in and out all day, then DH walked the pooch while I cooked dinner. I wore a new pair of boots today and after our day of shopping my feet were complaining loudly!

Wow Sandy - quite a day you've had! So glad the lady woke up. Your instincts were of course good - what better place? It's sad for a life to pass, though.
And what a fun surprise to enjoy shopping with your DH! That's a good story. Dear cooks of all sorts: in the Simple Cocoa Brownies, it calls for 1/2c. erythritol + 1/4c. Stevia - May I just use 3/4c. Swerve? |

Thanks girls,
We had a good time at church & luncheon. Then after I let dh sleep, we went cross-country skiing across our field. And of course, we cut across a mouse trail & stopped to see, and it jumped up on my ski's!!! EEK!! I thought it was gonna climb up my pant-leg! We just cut through one of his tunnels. Good place for a field mouse = in a field! ![]() We had a good time, but boy oh boy, I'm pooped! And we've got another meeting to go to in a couple hours. Should be interesting! LOL. ![]() Judy, it does sound funny saying your sister needs to start eating...not a usual problem! 112... so tiny! Have a great evening! ![]()

![]() I'm pretty good with mice, have killed quite a few over the years & some with stomping them. But it did have me sounding like EEK having it right next to my pant-leg on the ski! I do have the mouse stories.... LOL... much preferable to the bear stories... at least you can laugh! ![]() WE had an awesome meeting. Lots to think about. Still not too sure what direction to go, but it was very clarifying. |

Morning!
Sounds like a good day was had by all! Sandy - We didn't go down to the Plaza! After dinner, but before dessert we had a touch football game. Not quite the kennedy's, but fun. I was official photographer, so if you want to see DH with the first injury, check my FB page! ![]() Carolyn - so then I had to check the weather . . . . 43 today, 39 tomorrow, and then climbing to 59 by Friday! ![]() Buffy - have you lost that weight yet? Debby - Eek! Judy - your sister is like my DD26! She's 109lbs. But then, at her age, I was 95lbs and that was after my 1st baby.

I'll check it out MK. I thought you'd said you guys were going to the Plaza? I also thought we were going there & to the mayor's tree lighting. We didn't go there either, lol.
I have a giant pile of laundry today and a giant errand/to do list. I woke up instantly behind! I am happy to report I'm only up 1 pound from the whole holiday weekend! Buffy, I'm with you, rarely have I felt so in control around so much delicious food. I did make some choices what to have & it wasn't all LC, like wine, lol, but I was able to stick to those choices & not go hog-wild, as my daddy always says. And when I was done, I was done! |

Yes, my sister was you and your DD until the last 10 years, and I think she topped out at 137. I hardly recognized her. She'd never been overweight so didn't know how to eat. I of course weighed 40 pounds more than her and knew EXACTLY how to eat! ![]() She actually looks thin but well. This weight is probably what her body prefers, but she is a school teacher and seems to pick up every little bug that the kids pass around. *sigh* Then we all wring our hands and worry that she weighs so little. She likes the way she's eating, but has never been good about focusing on her food - hence being skinny, then being overweight. She's happy if I supply her with food or info, but that's just not her niche.Good morning everyone! ![]() |

Hi dear friends..
Oh, Sandy..I have gone "hogwild" in the past..My friend says, "Been there, done that, and bought the tee-shirt." LOL.. I had some self-control last night..At our small group, it was dh's birthday "dessert" so he ordered "cheesecake"..with sugar. My friend made it..I didn't have a piece..hurray for me..LOL..and was still at 151.0 this morning..Big weigh-in is Thursday with the doctor, so I will be good all week.. Yikes for the emergency..At our church we have a heart shocker (or something like that). They did have to use it, but the man's heart didn't stop, but it checks for that. Of course, the pastors are trained to use it.. Sorry about your dh's football injury, but he is among good company with the college boys.. Off to exercise, then wait for the adjuster to call today or tomorrow..Have to do a Wallie run..ugh.. See you later, gators.

I have lost 64 lbs since Jan of 2012
I need to lose at least another 40 lbs to get into the outfit for my Grand daughter's wedding in July 2013. Since I stopped eating bread--even the lc pita pockets were trouble--I am rarely hungry at the wrong time.

I'm making a new fish dish tonight. I sure hope it's as good as it looks. Very simple. Melted butter, then thinly sliced lemon sprinkled with a little dry Italian dressing mix. Then cod filets sprinkled with a little more dry mix. Bake and sprinkle some parmesan on for the last 5 minutes. You can use any fish, even shrimp.

Fabulous!! Has anyone seen Not My Mama's Meals on the Food Network? He takes his mom's recipes and makes them healthy! Is there a The Joy of Gluten-Free, Sugar-Free, Dairy-Free Baking? ![]() I keep checking out Paleo Comfort Foods from the library! |

The book I checked-out was Gluten-free & Sugar-free recipes - I don't think they are dairy-free. As far as dairy goes, can you eat butter and/or eggs? I see they have butter and eggs as ingredients, but not always milk. Quote:
.SO fun to find a "new" recipe that makes us both happy! I will try this too. |
