Good morning everybody, well I didn't lose yet so going to look everything over. And see if there is anything I should do differently. My sugar was 92 again and that is real good for me. I do like this way of eating though. Have a good day.

Hi all, I'm new, but have been lurking for awhile now. I lost 13 pds last month. I've been reading recipes and all kinds of threads on here. I have tried low carb before but ate boring food and quickly lost interest (like in two weeks). This time I am in it for the long haul -- I hope. lol.

Buffy I have been getting the same type of email. Wondering just how to put a stop to it as I try my hardest to keep spam from popping in. This mac has a different set up and still don't know how to block this stuff.
Enjoy your visit with grandson Ollie and family. Don't forget the fat bombs! I made my first ones yesterday and they are the best! Welcome Janet I'm one of the newer ones on here too. It's a fun place to hang and learn. Have a great day ladies. |

Linda I also follow the nutritional ketosis thread. A guy just posted this and I wonder if it would help your thoughts about this way of eating?
He said: I listened to 2 pretty great podcasts from Jimmy Moore this week - both of them with Dr. Thomas Dayspring. The long and short of the podcast is that most (80%) cases of dyslipidemia are caused by insulin resistance - and the best treatment for insulin resistance is a low carb diet....It was nice hearing this from the foremost lipidologist. I must admit I do have a some fat phobia about this WOE

Hi gals..
Busy day... Buffy, I get those all the time, but I do love the one that Sandy sent to her Bible Study... Yeah, Linda on the blood sugar..That is wonderful.. Welcome, Janet....I believe LCing is the best way to eat..and if you "cook" different things, it is never boring.. Judy: I listen to Jimmy's podcasts all the time..Dr. Dayspring was very interesting, I thought.. |

Thank you Judy for the info. I really am having a time of understanding this. Know I am just making it harder than it is. I really do believe LC is the way to go. But I want to do the EFGT one. But don't know if I will ever get it. How to eat all that fat. I sure say I a lot. I probably need to get out of the way. Anyway thanks for the help.

Dh is on his way home from the airport..Back to cooking tomorrow..LOL..
My dd is having the time of her life at the Sundance Film Festival..The only bad thing is driving on that hilly road, but soon they will get to take a van to and fro. She said SFF is very green..no trashcans..all glass and china. No plastic water bottles. They all like college basketball, so she can proudly wear her Jayhawk shirt.. Debby: I hate llllloooonggg meetings. I'm sure you were dragging all day. |

Hi ladies..
Buffy is right, Faith...It is all about getting creative with LC foods..and not overindulging..(been there, done that). Big KSU/OSU game tonight. Brett is smoking a pork shoulder and invited us over for the game. I'm bringing veggies as his veggie of choice was pickles.. Exercised..now doing laundry.. |

Low Carb Flu?
I feel just terrible today. Queezy stomach, aching in back, arms, hips. I seem to recall a low carb flu mentioned years ago, for new dieters. Am I remembering correctly. Hopefully it will only last a few days.

Janet I read about that all the time, so it sure is possible you have induction flu. Very sorry to hear that. Buffy's right - it will pass.
Carolyn I love hearing about your kids. Buffy how is little Oliver? (whose name I just love.... )Debby I hope you are feeling better today too! ![]() Have a great day, ladies! |

Hi gals,Yes, thank you, I am feeling much-o-better-o Yesterday a neighbor brought her puppy over for a "play-date". It was hilarious! They had so much fun. And we discovered that we have a lot in common too, she also has hypothyroidism & so I was able to share what I'm learning with her. She didn't seem to know that you could get treatment & get rid of your symptoms... so she's getting that stopthethyroidmadness book too. I still don't quite know what to change for maintenance. So I'm staying pretty close to my previous diet, except making an effort to not drop my calories as low on my low days. Kind of scared of carbs & its been so long since I ate fruit they don't even appeal to me. Have a good Saturday! ![]()

Hi ladies..
Oh...I think the induction flu is detoxing all the junk in your system..or at least the sugar buildup. That's my uneducated opinion.. Debby: I think maintenance is the regular plan with a few cheats once in a while...LOL.. Hope everyone has a good Saturday night.. |
