Linda,

Well that is discouraging! It definitely is an experiment on ourselves.
Is it too nosey of me to ask what you're eating?
It's quite in my character to be nosey, just not TOO nosey!

Hi guys..

I am starving...waiting for my metabolic testing..I think I will carry an Atkins bar with me so I can eat right afterwards..LOL..2:30

Buffy.....Yipeee for you, girl...That is a wonderful weight loss...

I probably won't get many kids here..But, I bought candy just in case. Will get rid of it
as soon as I can..I'm fine with throwing it away..

So, our new name is November's Thankful Losers? I like it..We are truly 'thankful" for anything we lose, right ladies..???

Thanks Judy, I don't think you are nosey. I think you are concerned about me. And I really need all the help I can get on this. I ate 2 eggs and sausage for breakfast. And a 1tbls. of co. I ate five almonds for snack. 2.5 tuna with 1tbls of mayo and two sticks of celery, 1tbls co for lunch. Dinner was pulled chicken and oz of cheese, and string beans. And 1tbls of co. That was it. Thank you Debby me to.

Nosey, er I mean Judy here.

That seems very reasonable. I guess the thing I would now wonder is whether you are tracking? I use ******. That way you are putting in everything and you can see for yourself (or me if I keep beating you up with questions! HA HA) how much exactly you are eating and how much is fat, how much is protein, etc.

I admit it's a pain, and I stopped entering for a couple of days, but I'm stalled (not gaining, but not losing) so I'm entering again.

Maybe you already enter your food somewhere

Hi Judy, I love your questions. Yes I am using ******. Love it. I don't know how many calories I am needing to eat for sure. I am just feeling my way around. Trying to pay attention to what I read. I am trying to help another person on it with me. Don't you feel sorry for her.LOL

HA HA! We've all been there and it's more fun with 2!

I think Darin is helping you (and me) on that other 80/15/5 thread, so I bet you will be able to eat to the right numbers when he gives them.

Hi gals..

Survived the test...with your nose pinched by tongs, you breathe into this machine for 10 minutes..Akkk..I survived and guess what? Because of my exercising, my metabolism is labelled "Fast"..Resting Calories are 1901 for weight maintenance at my present weight. But, Dr. wants me to be around 1300 for Weight Loss. I think she is right on. She says most of her patient are on the 1300-1400 calorie area, even though you don't count calories, calories do count..

Linda: Aim for around 1300ish and see where that takes you. As women, we can't eat as much as we would like to, unfortunately.

And, I did lose 2.4 pounds since my last weigh-in last Friday. But, I was at a high last week...I'll check in the a.m. for our thread.

I just got advice from another thread for 1900 calories. I nearly fell over (as I was running to eat more food! )

I am sure 1300 would be healthy and easy to follow with this high fat way of eating.
Did she give you a protein amount?

WOE: Maintenance
Start Date: WtLoss->Sept11-Oct12->Maint.
I dieted for years, got to my lowest wt. via "Weigh-Down" method... maintained for 7 yrs. with that... then my metabolism slowed down & I ended up gaining wt. To see how many calories I was eating, I figured it out & found that I was gaining wt. on 1000 calories
So, I went on a body-builder's diet to build up my metabolism, which really fixed me up. It is based on your own body requirements, but rotates calories. It built me up to 2200 calories in the 1st stage & I actually lost weight on it! It was "low-carb" & high protein, so it taught me really clean eating.
So, for this 40 lbs. I used these amounts.

Like this:
  • Monday-1100;
  • Tuesday-1300;
  • Wednesday-1500;
  • Thursday-1700;
  • Friday-1100;
  • Saturday-1300;
  • Sunday-1700.
  • Repeat.
I lost most of the weight that way, then the last 10 lbs. I discovered coconut oil. I still continued with those stats, and the wt. came off.
Try it! You won't be disappointed! The days I lose are the day after I have my "big numbers"

Hi everybody, the more I read the more I like this. But I am feeling really full. Having to make myself eat today. Most likely because I have done nothing but reading the posts. But want to get it right. Thanks

Judy: Protein is from 70-100 grams..

Debby: Rotating calories is probably a good idea..We don't want our metabolisms to stall..Not good.

Will post new thread for tomorrow now...Be sure to post any losses or gains for the month of October.
