Mine is just a blue box with a ? in it, MK.
I'm a slow loser now too. As I get older the more my body likes to hang on to everything it's got. I'm keeping the protein down to 4 oz. ea. meal and not worrying about the fat. I like fruit so have blueberries small amount with full fat greek yogurt (a couple of large tablespoons) and some walnut pieces once a day. I find it so easy. It feels so natural to eat this way. |

That sounds absolutely delicious. I am finding it so difficult to find full fat yogurt and I just won't buy the lower fat or fat free. I think I'll look at Whole Foods. They seem to have everything. But that blueberries/yogurt/walnuts (and I will add some vanilla DaVinci, sugar free) sounds fantastic. Judy the one I get is Artemis Greek Yogurt. It has 5 Live & Active Cultures including Probiotics. The carton that is full fat is olive green color. It's made with whole milk and cream. It's the only one I buy now. Love it.

I don't know how to "multiquote" either Judy.
The greek yogurt I got was Greek Gods, not Goddess. It is in a Olive green container, you really have to look at them b/c they have non-fat, low fat and the full fat. It is good, I like Fage best but haven't found the full fat in that anywhere. Target used to carry it but I didn't see any there, will check back. One more day to finish week 2 back on LC and have no thoughts of quitting. I feel better, am losing slowly, although week one I had a great loss, and I know it is better for my diabetes. My meter is in love with me now, just glows with pleasure when I pick it up to test my BS. It knows it is going to give me a good number My ketone meter is loving me as well, I am in the zone now and I have got my system down pat that one stick and one drop of blood is enough for both meters. Go back to my endocrinologist the 26 for blood work and can't wait this time for my appt. and blood tests. Then we will see what happens in 3 more months. Rainy day here which we can use and much cooler which is nice. Glad our awful heat is over. Upping my magnesium a little each day, now that I figured out I only got the 50 mg instead of the 500 I thought I did. Easy to work up though I guess. No bad side effects, errr, bathroom issues so I guess it is agreeing with me. Will order some 500. Have a great Sunday everyone ![]()

Hi all, I was MIA yesterday. We took our 18 month old great-grandson to the zoo all morning and then after we delivered him back to his mommy and daddy we rested about an hour and then headed to the Royals game. We were given Diamond Club seats and wow!! they were fantastic. Plus they won!! So overall a very good day. I did eat a few more carbs than I should've or planned on but tomorrow's over and today's a brand new day. Being outside all day long has certainly sparked my allergies into life though. I feel awful today!!

![]() Happy Sunday! I like Fage, too, but haven't had it since I started low-carbing. Just because I can, I think I might get both kinds of recommended yogurts -- Greek Gods and Artemis Greek. I have a bunch of DaVinci sugar-free syrups that make my yogurt almost as good as an ice cream. Buffy just remember, your A1c test might not be as good this time as it will be 3 months from now. Sandy I see now why your metabolism is that of a teenage boy. You obviously are doing lots of fun things!! |

Funny, with the amount of diabetic meds I have been on, my A1C tests have been good, not sure what this time will show since I will have only been doing this for 2 1/2 weeks but not too concerned. But, I feel you are right, they should be awesome in 3 months from this upcoming test. Please give me the strength to stick with this!!! Right now I can't imagine falling off the wagon, but how many times have I thought that in the past, then PLOP! |

I've been on the wagon since June 4. Granted, I don't go out to eat as much as some, but we do have long weekends at the lake and have had a few parties. I must say, I am not even tempted. If you keep the fat up and the protein low, (and obviously the carbs low) it all seems to sort itself out.
I would love to lose 12 more pounds, and I suppose eventually I will (I have lost 17.5 since June 4). But even if I did not lose one more pound, I am so addicted to feeling good and not being hungry that I don't think I want to cheat at all. So feeling good may be the thing that keeps you going this time. |
