Hi gals

I'm still traveling (via motorcycle), facing the "traveler's choice" dilemma. But so far, so good. Last night I had to for-go dinner, being over-tired & unable to cook anything in our motel room. Today I had a big lunch, discovered yet another "trick"... I was actually able to order (in a Chinese restaurant) Beef & Broccoli with "no salt or soy sauce" ! Yippee!! It was delicious, and also made from fresh beef. I'm learning... Still think the Mongolian Grill was the greatest though.

My health has continued to improve, this last week. Heart rate is rising, blood pressure is normal, and no more palpitations or adrenalin rushes!

I'm also smaller. So I'm pretty excited to get home & find out how much wt. I've lost. Also looking forward to my coconut oil, which I had to leave behind 2 weeks ago!

My husband shook his head at me today, as he enjoyed all the buffet... "Said when you're good... you're really, really good...and when you're bad..." All or nothing! I said, can you say... obsessive compulsive?

Hope you all find your "sweet-spot"

Great description Debby! And I miss Chinese food the very most - you are giving me hope! But otherwise, I am not hungry and not tortured.

Carolyn you're probably enjoying muscles - seems as if you're going to work out a lot! If you are measuring a loss in inches it sure seems like you're moving the right way.

Morning everyone!
We had RAIN last night, not sure yet how much, but a very good rain and it is still cloudy today, so maybe some more is on its way. Wow, it sounded so good to hear the thunder and lightning and then the rain, it has been going right around us up until last night.

Debby, sounds like a fun trip and wow, you are having hard choices, it is hard when you are traveling for 2 reasons. 1, finding the right food when you are in a place and time to stop, and 2. our mindset that vacation means freedom from dieting. Sounds like you are doing great on both fronts and yes, I totally am the same on the OCD.

Carolyn, you days are always full and busy. I am almost due for a haircut, have to look over my calendar and plan it out as I am going to meet my sister's the last weekend of Sept. and do I get 2 cuts/color before then, or just stretch this one out and get 1? I almost think I can stretch this one out and get just one, DDIL has such a perfect color on my hair that it doesn't show roots hardly at all when it grows out. And, she picked one of her co-workers to cut it and wow, probably the best cut I have ever had, all I have to do it blow it dry and it falls into place.

Yes, Sandy, DH, his brother and wife and I used to take jeep trips all over the mountains out there and visit all those little quaint towns, love those victorian houses out there, all painted up in bright colors and lots and lots of history.

Everything around here is "back to school" right now, the summer has flown by. The manager at Chico's called me and wanted me to come in and pick out lots of things that she would then "ring" up this weekend during tax - free shopping weekend, but, but, I don't need 1 thing, let alone lots of things . Afraid I have to pass on that one.

Have a great day everyone!

I really need to get back into a regular workout routine again. I do walk almost daily but I need to start with the weights again I think.

SBW, wow! You're a losing machine!! Do you post your menu anywhere? I love meat and it's very hard to limit that for me. But I'm always open to trying. I'd love to get a few more pounds off just to pad my cushion a bit.

We switched cable companies yesterday. Wow! What a learning curve this is! Hopefully I'll adjust soon. Time Warner just kept raising their prices so much and I got a great offer from SureWest.

I think I'll try to find some slow burn vids on youtube and see how I like them.

I made some yummy eggplant parm with It. sausage for dinner with SF spaghetti sauce. Then we went to see The Bourne Legacy. It was really good!

Morning!

Saw the Bourne Legacy last weekend, loved it. Still haven't seen the new Tommy Lee Jones and Meryl Streep one, maybe this weekend. Watched a Tommy Lee one last night on TV, No Country for Old Men.

Think maybe we are supposed to get some more rain tonight, amazing how the plants and the grass perked up after our rain the other night, there is just something so much different about rain water versus watering that the plant life loves.

Been taking care of one of my DD's 2 cats, they come running when I open the door, they miss their family and are so glad to have come company.

I'd say not really. I have seen all the others and read the books eons ago, but I didn't feel like you really had to know all those former details. Maybe read a synopsis of the earlier movies/books and then I think you'd be good to go.
