Hi everyone..

Akkk...For the last 2 days, I am up to 152...I thought I was being good, too.. Gotta flush out the water/fat..

Exercised...a bit of housework, then dd and her hubby are coming over. We will go out for lunch..I'm having NO chips..A taco salad..no shell.. For me, it's best to preplan, especially when dealing with Mexican food.

Hope you are all enjoying this normal, nice weather.

Hello from beautiful Grand Lake O' The Cherokees! Staying on plan, boating, riding the Sea Doo and cooking a lot. NOT eating buns on hamburgers or brownies. And not a problem (I am full!).

Congrats Mrs. Brown!

Carolyn I went to a lot of time and trouble to take my own bread with us. I hardly touched it, but it was good to know it was there. I am working so hard to convince dd32 this is the way to eat. I've lost 15 pounds easily, without hunger, since June 4. My own little miracle is never being hungry, never wondering what I can eat next. I think I might have felt this way when I was 16, 17, 18... She is tired of me beating her up and I always resort to us spending 3 or 4 days together and me cooking for us (what's different about THAT?? ). One of these days...

MK kinda want that chili recipe....... if you have time..... please...

Carolyn let's imagine you are gaining muscle!

Carolyn: I found getting a scale that measures BMI to be really helpful. I fluctuate a lot and tend to hold onto water easy so sometimes the number on the scale can be a bit frustrating when it goes up even though I’ve been good. I know if the BMI number stays the same or goes down then my overall weight (fat) is down even if the number on the scale goes up, because that means I’m holding onto extra water. It provides peace of mind if nothing else.

Congrats Mrs. Brown, you’re doing great!

It’s taco Monday again for dinner out after work, I do love shell-less tacos!

I wish I could edit my message above. I meant to say, she is tired of me beating her up about how great it is to eat high fat, low carb and moderate protein. I always resort to OFFERING to spend a few days cooking for her so she could see what it's like. Then we both get busy...

Hi gals..

Wowooo..SBW, I'm betting you are in a deep ketosis, which is the key to weight loss in the LCarb world..

Judy: Will your dd read a book about LCing? Sometimes peeps need to hear the science behind it to have it make sense to them.

Hi to everyone.... Lunch out with friends tomorrow..I know what I am having already..Caesar Salad/chicken/no croutons..

No recipe!
This is basic chili for a college student.

Ground Beef
Chili spice
Cayenne pepper
2 cans of chili tomatoes (1 with onions, 1 with jalapenos)
Top with onions and cheese (vegan cheese for me!)

Hi all,
I'm back!! We had a wonderful week in the mountains and somehow we managed to bring some of that cool mountain air back with us for a day or so to help us acclimate, lol. And the good news is NO WEIGHT GAIN!!! Not even a tenth!!!! And DH even had a loss. He didn't stray as badly as I did so he deserves a loss.
Not gaining makes me excited to get back on track and see if I can lose a few pounds before my SC trip the end of Sept.
I have a mountain of laundry to catch up on and I need to go get groceries. Plus the cable guy is coming this afternoon. We're switching cable companies after 30 years!!! That should be a fun learning curve, lol. But it was such a great deal and our other company just keeps going up, up, up, so we finally decided to make the jump. I sure hope we're happy.

I SO wish we could switch cable companies. Ours is playing games, and as far as I know, our town is not big enough to have a good alternative. If I call to inquire about lowering our rate, they actually lower it quite a bit ($30/month +/-) but it's for 6 months. Then I get to call again.

Welcome back and congrats to your DH and to you!

Back home from the last babysitting gig. Whew, slept in this morning as it was rise and shine early every day with those 2. They are cute, they are fun, I love them but they wear me clear out! I enjoyed it but glad it is over for this time around.

Sandy, my BIL's ranch is 12 miles north of Silverthorne and my sis used to own a condo in Dillon so I have been there many times. Really nice area and love, love, love the weather up there in the summer time.

See we have a new member, SBW, you are doing great, keep up the good losses!

Now, back to my normal routine, where to start?

Yes, Buffy, the weather was perfect!! All those little surrounding towns are so quaint and fun to visit too.
I hope you get rested up quickly. Those little ones can totally wear one out! But they're so much fun too!
