Waffles would be great! Does it come with a cook? ![]() I'm not supposed to have sugar substitutes either. No milk products, no additives... I don't eat processed foods anyway... Breakfast is my big-carb meal, wouldn't want to have it later. Ya, I think I'll add some more seeds & nuts to my breakfast... Something woke up my "hunger" yesterday... gotta figure that one out today... might be the almond milk or fructose... I see my old coffee habits coming back~ I'll buy some licorice tea today... it might help. ![]() I'm happy to say, no night sweats or leg cramps last night! sigh...Hope you all have a great day!

I just got on the scales - I am down exactly 10 pounds since I started June 4. Can't be all water weight, right? I'd like to lose 18 more.
Plus I had the back injury with very movement (fear of pain!) and plus I had a long weekend at the lake with family. Tra la la la! |

That's awesome!
Since adjusting my eating to higher fat, I feel great. Even though the scale is not moving like I would like it to, I am focusing on the feeling great part. |

Carolyn: Love the new avatar pic, you and your hubby make such a cute couple.
MK: I’m jealous of your facial, I love those things but can really only fit them into my budget when I can get them on some sort of special. I hope it’s a good one! Debby: Now that is a restriction list you gotta work with. I get nitrate, gluten and casein free organic bacon and hot dogs from a brand called Applegate at my local BJ’s. The products are very tasty but they do cost a little bit more than the non-organic counterpart’s. You may have a local store that sells this brand or one similar that would work with your current restrictions. Read those packaging labels! I can't tell you how much longer grocery trips can take me because I stand there reading everything on the labels. Breakfast items are a bit more challenging with your list. You can probably do a lot with the almond butter bread over in the recipe forum. Just use a little extra egg white instead of whole eggs. And maybe add a smidge of butter/oil to replace some of the fat in the yolk. It should still pack a pretty good protein punch and work well for breakfast time. I’ll try to make a link for you (I’ve never linked on this site before) Almond Butter Bread - yay! I think I did it ![]()

Happy 4th all!
I do have a question for you. On average, how many calories would you say you eat in any given day? I understand that the goal is not to count calories, but my scale is just not moving and I am keeping my fat% above 70% of my daily intake. Carbs are around 5-10% and protein around 20%. I average about 1700 calories a day. |

Happy 4th of July y'all!
![]() A little frustrated this morning... something made my lower back "tweek" & its quite stiff... I knew the scale wouldn't show the loss I should of had from an excellent day yesterday but... I was 2 lbs up... grrr.... Not inspiring... OK, moving forward. Hope you have a great time celebrating! |

Hi ladies..Happy 4th of July to you all..
Hot here again.. Janet: Calories do count, even though we don't "count" them. I could never lose on 1700..But you shouldn't go under 1100- 1200 unless you are short..Cut back to 1500 and see what happens..Everyone is sooo different on the amount of food they can eat, depending on age, muscle tone, metabolism, etc..Tweak it until you are successful.. Debby: Owie...it doesn't take much to make our backs tweek..Do you have some stretches to do? Drink your water and the weight will be flushed out..I'm sure it is salt.. |

Yes, I do the T-tap stretch, iced it & anti-inflammatory. Starting to "feel" better... Why would you say its salt? I don't eat any salt... none, totally "clean" diet (except for my coffee). Is there salt in iboprofen? I'm sure its swelling of the tissues to "heal"... but yes, my 10 glasses of water will flush it out. The thing is for me to focus on getting healed up & relax about the wt. I may have a pleasant surprise when the back's better. Last edited by DebbyL; 07-04-2012 at 08:32 AM.. |

On the salt thing..many times when I gain I have eaten out or had salty things unknowingly and there is the gain. I have also gained when I have taken ibuprofen. I think the tissue swelling makes you retain water..

WHOA whoa whoa! Sister you didn't know you had?? I'm interested now!
Hope it's a fun meeting. Sometimes it's better to meet people after we're all grown up than going through the "she's touching me! she's touching me! I was here first!" phase... Good times. Good times. Carolyn you were right about my back issue and the swelling. It's been a week and now I can hardly tell I had a back problem (doing lots of stretches and strength exercises - but carefully) and I lost weight even though I am just sure I ate too much protein over last weekend. I had gained a couple after the injury and I, too, was taking ibuprofen. BEFORE my back injury I had ordered the T-Tapp Basic Workout and it has arrived. Maybe that stretch is included but I haven't had the nerve to load it yet. ![]() I've noticed I'll be up 2 or 2.5 pounds after a salty dinner! It doesn't last. I'm about ready to want to weigh only once/week just because the up & down doesn't interest me so much anymore. ![]() Somebody - Cindy? said in one thread she's lost eating 1500 calories/day. In my imagination Cindy is also quite active... I'm 5'4" and eating 1200 calories a day at maximum. Have only been mildly active. Lost 10 pounds in 1 month, but I do credit some of that to water weight - just makes sense. That coconut oil really makes me feel very full for hours. Seems like magic. Carolyn we left the lake because people can do their own fireworks there, too. Too loud! I know those kids were having fun though. Happy Independence Day!

I have had it before, and know about the swelling... just because I worked so hard yesterday to bump my wt. down... Its actually getting better already. The stretch for your back on T-tapp is the basic warm-up on all the work-outs, it does wonders for backs! Teresa Tapp has a bad back herself & created her whole work-out around that. Its great. (so's she). Please try at least the first part... it will do wonders for you. (only takes a couple minutes), and the part I like the best - you don't have to lay down - you can do it anywhere, any time. ![]() |
